Great job, I drive by your house almost everyday looking at your collection. It's crazy I just happened to find this video. I served in the Army for 8 years as a track mechanic. I've always dreamed rebuilding my own one day.
Inspirational. It's taken me 9 months to completely tear down an LMTV... it's time for a "look back video" I think. Thanks for the idea, and great job on your hummer.
On my bucket list. Now I just need to win an auction (kee trying but keep loosing). Spent 23 years active duty and retired in 2016 and want to get one to fix up and travel the Dalton in AK
So you've actually served and used these things regularly and still want one! Blessings! I loved them as a kid, became a 91B in the military and now I hate them with all my soul. 😂 You ever have to fix one of those, you'll learn to hate them!!!
@@christiandelatour2140 Owned a M997A3 for about 3 years now. Converted it to be a camper. Have 0 issues with it, just have to take care if it. Like anything.
@@christiandelatour2140they’re very mechanical. I worked on Hawker 800 aircraft for a long time and the Humvee reminds of of it in some ways. Not quite as complex but lots of moving parts
Best vehicle I ever owned was my 1992 civilian Hummer. One of the very first built for domestic USA civilian sales, it was the right blend between military and civilian. Only one complaint: We never got the heating and cooling system to work right. Took it back to the dealer and they couldn't figure it out.
Nice, neat and clean upgrades, with a more reliable, comfortable, practical and very sharp looking outcome. As a result of your thorough approach, good workmanship and videography, you have a new subscriber.
Brother...You have more skill than most grown ass men. Great job. I got me an H1 and looking to you and others for tips. Thanks and keep up the good work!
Me parece un trabajo magnífico de restauración y una buena forma de reciclar y personalizar un coche q podía acabar en desguace... Debería hacerse más esto y empezar a dejar de fabricar a cada dos años tantos coches.
neat build, I did kinds think the troop carrier seats in the back, without the troop carrier height was odd, but overall, looked cool, and I always enjoyed swapped em over to LED headlights, tails and clips... looks and helps alot.
congrat bro, i really like what you did! As a suggestion with the painting, first it goes from the lightest to the darkest colors, in this case the woodland is, green, brown and lastly the black, so if you have an error they cover up with the darker color, I hope you take it as an advice and not as a challenge, it goes with all my good will, I send greetings from Argentina, enjoy what you do since it is sure is the dream of many
well done on project...next time you change fluid in geared hubs, pop the back plate of and check torque, or actually torque the spindle nut to 27 ft lbs... very important to do this! believe there is a spider washer as we called them, push up the tab with a flat blade and if you dont have the cookie cutter socket, brass punch and a hammer with light taps it will come off... damn nice video and job well done! Kurt Seidel USMC
do you have a video of what you did the the seats in the back to get them to fit so good. guessing you cut them and customized it. i think i want to do that with my troop seats.
If you haven't driven one personally I highly suggest it before spending a bunch of money on one. They're horrendously slow and uncomfortable. The newer one with the 6.5 turbo diesel is much better.
To clear up any confusion, this video is 10 minutes of time lapse from the build and 3 minutes of showcasing the build at the end.
👌👌👉
I want the hummer
thanks for sharing ... how much to buy a 1989.
I am looking to get a humvee for my skorebats biz.. how much did you put into the upgrades you did to this one? And was the ac unit worth it?
Nice video

Wes Sold that’s awesome man! Stop by next time. I’m home almost every day either doing schoolwork or messing with the Humvees.
@@DakotaWoodHD after this COVID this is over I'll have to take you up on that.
Wes Sold sounds good buddy 👍🏼
@@MrWessold it never ends man
I have wanted a HMMWV for a long time, maybe one day.
A thousand thank yous for not overbuilding it! It turned out perfect!
Ikr seen so many HMMWVs turned into rolling chandeliers, gaudy and IMO a betrayal of its nature. Its great seeing one treated right
Good to see you kept it camo.
Dude, That is unbelievable what you did to that HUMMV. You got mad skills bro. You could flip that thing for 50K or more. Great Job!
Thanks buddy!

Are these good I’ve never served myself but heard they were horrible to be in

Did a great job transforming that truck. A light bar across the back would improve the look. Great idea installing the AC Unit. Great job.
