Wow! It's great to see the inventor of the original Flying Crank Ghost still at it and sharing new innovations! Your dedication and creativity are a true gift to all. Thank you for sharing and all your inspiration. Raven Manor would not be the display it is today without your inspiration that led to the creation of our star attraction and ghost, Eleanor Rigby. Thanks so very much Doug! -Dave

I had left haunting for nearly 10 years, and was brought back into it by folks like you asking me to return. The haunting community is seriously the nicest I have encountered, and without asking people have kept my name with my idea. You are so welcome, and I have much exciting content planned to share! Stick around, because I plan to reach out to builders as well for feature programs.

Mr. Ferguson, I just want to say "Thank you"! I made my very first flying crank ghost back in 2003 when I was a junior in high school. I was obsessed with all things Halloween and I stumbled across your website and was instantly hooked. My dad helped me make my very first crank ghost with the instructions from your website! I'm 36 years old now and I'm proud to say that I still have that very same crank ghost flying at my house and it's still the neighborhood favorite. Phantasmechanics holds a special place in my heart and it's so rare to get to thank such a huge influence on my love of Halloween and crafting. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you!

Doug, you've given the haunt community such a great gift. Your FCG has become ubiquitous in pro, and yard haunts, all over the world. Shadow Wood certainly wouldn't be as charmingly spooky without ours, and I bet that a zillion other folks would say the same about their own haunts and ghosts. Thank you for continuing to share your knowledge and innovation. We're very grateful. ~SpookyBlue

Thank you for the kind remarks! I am here primarily to share the experiences I have had in my 50 years of haunting so that all haunters may benefit. The community has been exceptionally kind to me by keeping my name linked with my creation, and so I thank all of you!

If you are going to make an FCG, follow the instructions here by the master, the prop’s creator. Doug is the most imaginative imagineer I know. Glad to see the new video. Happy Halloween!

Excellent! If you have the Dayton motor, you can easily get 30-40 years with no trouble.

I was indeed, along with Mr. Axworthy of the Axworthy Flying Ghost (AFG). It was a really heady time, and internet Halloween began there around 1990.
