David, I was doing an NLP course in Sydney a couple of years ago, but walked out of it because I felt I couldn't cope. I sat in a park and thought, 'I've just learned how to change a limiting belief, sort of, I guess, maybe'. Anyway, I put myself through the process a few times, felt better and went back to class. From then on I had no problems, in fact, I finished the final day, the exams/tests, etc way ahead of everyone else!
These things usually don't work so easily, but this one truly did - and that whole "don't try to match it to your conscious idea of it, they never match" really disabled the instinctive try-hard.

i been following .I once had a therapist who wanted to use her technique on me. i didnt trust it then but i do now. interesting stuff. we all carry neg and psotive tapes in our mind. i love this man. its beautiful stuff. interesting quirky minds we have.
One thing I noticed Is the importance of a really small step in there there which is remember what you had for breakfast for breakfast if you're going to change between a positive state and a less than positive or negative state

David stuff is great. I got a ridiculous image of a black hole type thing. The negative belief I want to change got sucked into the black hole as I put them together :) Crazy but the imagination is a great thing.

People usually trigger my anger, every week now I'll try and be stoic and expect someone to say something rude or brash to me, initially I don't always get annoyed, but as the hours unfold and think back, I will become very angry, it's not nice. So after watching your other video about attracting by feeling, it seems to make sense, I've always had a very difficult relationship with my father, my mother died when I was 6 weeks old, my sister is living with her husband (Always a total asshole to me), and she wasn't really around much either when I was young. The funny thing is, apart from the awful head chef where I worked from August to December last year, nobody said anything to me that would anger me, and the odd thing is, that as soon as I stopped and noticed that and thought about it for a second, from that point onwards it all started again. I've had a lot of trouble with depression and anxiety and thinking about the things these people say to me, makes me so angry that I think about suicide. I know some really great people so I know when someone's got good character or not.

By the way, this is what is REALLY meant when they list S.M.A.R.T. goals and say they should be realistic; represent them in the way that you represent things you actually do. You might make them more or less ambitious but what you really do is make them fit with the submodalities of a strong belief.

Notice whats different
change the attributes of don't want to the attributes of the picture you want.
once all the changes have been made, shrink the problem picture down and move it into the space where the picture you want is stored.
This is a very basic and somewhat granular approach to submodality switching.
if you are trying to move beliefs around you may need to add a couple of steps.
it really comes down to looking at how you built the image/internal representation of what you want to change and deciding what you want to change it to.
then pulling up an image of what you want and editing the problem image until it becomes what you want instead.
might be useful for you to review the video three or four times to really get thisl
