Jonathan Saucier actually using potatoes in doughnuts have been practiced in Indonesia since a long long time ago. it gives softness and a fluffier texture to the doughnuts. we call it donat kentang or potato doughnut/donut

I'm from Indonesia and im surprised why there is not many potatoes donuts in America. Back home I eat potatoes donuts every week. Infact potatoes donuts are way cheaper than dunkin donuts. So Come to Indonesia, and you will taste the best potatoes donuts ever. BTW insider, You should check potatoes donuts in Indonesia.
Mashed potato donuts makes total sense - sounds delish. The flavors are great, like pomegranate. This gives me a reason to travel all the way to Maine from the southern hemisphere.
