Of course you could also say: Cual es tu libro? which justifies cual then.
In any case, it's a pick among choices so cual makes sense. Your rule that cual cannot be followed by a noun can turn out confusing here though.

I thought, assuming that there is a situation with a selection of books, you would use cual in any case. Did not know if followed by a noun you would use que in any case. I guess I know it better now!

You should say "¿Qué libro es lo tuyo?" or "¿Cuál es tu libro?" because it is more acceptable to use a noun immediately after the word "Qué " than after "cuál"

What about if I want to say "Which boy"? I can't say "Cual nino" because boy is a noun, so what do I say?

Saying that "Qué" is used for more of an explanation is just wrong. Both cuál and qué are interrogatives. Therefore, they would both be used when looking for an explanation.

APlusSpanishAcademy This may just be the way I work, but on the second explanation you used "cual". This is completely correct, but with the answer it would be explaining which of the three is the easiest. Even though I didn't fully understand it, your video was still the best by far that I've found. So thank you.

star51334 In the 2nd example, we use “cuál” because it’s a choice (of the 3 classes, or however many classes). There are 3 points to understand:
1.) WHICH IS: We can ask, “¿Cuál es más fácil?” with an implied understanding that there are several classes to choose from, and we’re asking literally “WHICH IS more easy?”
2.) WHAT CLASS: We can also say “WHAT CLASS is easiest?” - “¿Qué clase es más fácil?”
3.) (which class): There is a Spanish grammar rule prohibiting a noun immediately following “cuál.” In Spanish, we CANNOT literally say “Which class is easiest?” because the noun “class” immediately follows “which”
