Difficult to see the potential as the opponents are punch-bags at this stage. Certainly doesnt demonstrate great head movement of footwork just yet. Hopefully they can get him a good training that develops more than a big punch

NO boxer starts with any ranked opponents. It's about building confidence and technique. Yes, we can't be SURE that Itauma will ever be a world champion right now....but, his potential is obvious. Give the lad a couple of years...and we will see.

A lot of these guys are just throwing the fight. They get in range and stand there. Throw a few soft jabs and first shot that hits them- they go down. Watch that last guy. He was waiting to be caught

WTF ! The first 3 opponents look as though they have had 3-4 weeks of white collar boxing training and 2 of these look as if they were given free extra large double portions of fish, sausages, curry and chips plus chocolate cake after every training session.
Credit to the last guy in the white striped shorts - he did actually try to counter punch a couple of times.
He's got power alright, but it's too early at 19 to tell. Did he reach his ceiling in skill & size ? Most thought the bigger dude Jaron Anderson was gonna be the guy & he looked much more intimidating & definitely more skilled. He barely got in the top 10 & Martin destroyed him. These days the money in boxing comes faster as well as the stardom & both steal from the hungar a fighter needs to beat the best. I wish all these new guys the best, but we're always looking for the new flavor of the month.

To be a champion you have to win against champions, or rather no, you have to destroy champions, winning is not enough.
