Hi mate 👋, nice vid as always 👍
Definitly, will need this vid one day for my 20vt. I've already changed the pump float, but never the pump itself. Thank you for the pump reference 🙏
Hi mate, thanks 🙏🏽. Yeah I highly recommend doing it and replacing fuel filter one time.
Thanks bro, this has given me a lead on my 1,8T diagnosis. My fuel pump sounds more like your old one when I put the key on👍
@@siyamgazi9454 No worries bro👍🏼
Great video mate! I will need this video for my Ibiza 1.8t in the future to go to stage 2 with a better pump.
Greets from The Netherlands 🇳🇱
Thanks man, hope it helps. 👍🏼
Welke brandstof pomp ga je gebruiken voor je fr. Ik heb ook een stage 2
I've got mine on order and will be doing this job on my A3 1.8T. I'll follow your video which will be a big help. Thanks for sharing.
@@richardcollins576 ah nice mate, you welcome.
When I did this the car was cold, I went in through the passenger door as when the drivers door opens it primes the system. I didn't get much spillage at all, my car was Haldex and the pump/ carrier is harder to get out as there is an extra clip on the side.
Yes you right about the doors, my actuator on the drivers and passengers side are both faulty too lol.. I remember when I used to unlock the car it would prime now it doesn’t.
How old was the old pump ?
The aftermarket ones don't seem to last very long 🤷♂️
Great video, very well explained and some useful tips! I’m currently installing the same pump on my car and I’m not 100% sure of the placement on the larger bottom O-Ring.
I see you have placed yours in the groove, but I am seeing sources elsewhere that are saying to place it before the groove as it shouldn’t be blocking the holes. They claim that blocking these holes causes poor idling and damage to the pump?
How did it go?
Hi mate what injectors are you running and are you using 3 bar fpr? With the k280 ? Yours is agu engine ain’t it ? Sorry mate trying to get some info on all the things I need many thanks mate
@@PhilipFinch-t3d Hi mate I’m running Bam injectors with a 4bar fpr. My engine is AUM on my car. Hope this helps
what are good brands of fuel pumps? I was thinking about buying magneti pirelli
Hello mate was this pump ok running with the k280 turbo ? Many thanks
@@PhilipFinch-t3d Hi Mate yes I’m running this pump with the k280 in my car and it’s all good.
@@Mk4heavenHD great thanks mate Iam looking to get the k280 what injectors are you running ? Also are you still running 3 bar regulator ?
What system is that in place of the air vent?
It’s called the race diagnostics liquid gauge. They stopped making them long time ago.
Can you run e85 on that fuel pump :)?
Im not sure mate, I’ve just double checked the listing description of where I bought it and all it says is “Designed for compatibility with petroleum”
If you have not done it yet you should change the fuel filter too, believe it or not vw say the fuel filter is s lifetime part and it will never need changing so much so that the fuel filter is not even on the service schedule, true story, I had an issue where I had a miss fire under high boost, it was the filter
@@fubard3v1l5reaper3 💯 agree , I did that first before replacing the pump thinking it might be blocked. Fuel filter on these cars is an essential part of the maintenance I made a video on it some time back too and what came out was bad lol.
@Mk4heavenHD agreed, I poored the fuel out of the filter on the tank side and it was jet black, I was genuinely gob smacked
