I have seldom seen a product presentation as interesting, informative and so very nicely video-ed as this one. Accurascale is top notch professional and friendly customer orientated ! Other makes can learn from your positive attitudes - not to mention 'manors' and decent price politics. Success Accurascale - keep on steaming !
This is the way to present a new product! :D Well done! And now I hope you guys head to Didcot and have a look at 1338, 1340 and preferably 2999 too ;) Thomas,
I guess Dapol will be the very happy Accurascale didn't produce one and embarrass the ass off them, we live in hope another manufacturer will makes happy with a serious model that meets all our great expectations.
Good to see, looking forward to seeing it my time Atlantic Time. The British side of the hobby has become for fascinating to me! As someone primarily interested in North American/Canadian prototypes its good to dive into other regions of the hobby.
Thank God I don’t model that era……. Your announcements have almost become a compulsory purchase for me!!! My wallet needs some recovery time!! Was a great video though with the added bit of history. You really are leading the way 👏👏👏
Although I have a soft spot for Accurascale, as many of us do, I think this is a bit unnecessary given that both Hornby and Bachmann have released versions. Will probably buy a pack. This type of wagon is great for weathering as they got very rusty and dirty. Had a look through BR and Private owner wagons, Colin J. Marden to see if there was any type of wagon that is missing to modellers that I could recommend and the answer was no for modern era. Best I could come up with was the larger conflats which Rapido already model in N scale. nb From their site. "BR created 60 Diagram 1/60 ‘Conflat Ps’ for the introduction of the Anglo-Scottish ‘Condor’ service in 1959. They were rebuilt from Dia. 1/431 and 1/432 ‘Plate’ wagons. The sides and floors were removed, they were fitted with roller bearings and new suspension and a new central girder allowed them to carry one Type BD container as well as a Type A".
A bit early for my modelling era, but everybody needs a 16t or perhaps 20 on their trainset. as an aside, my two class 37/6 sound fitted arrived today ( 01 Sept ) and I'll be commissioning them over this weekend,
Awesome. My favourite type of wagon. I have quite a few bachmann ones of the ex-mainline and later types. I recently split them into a shorter fitted rake and a longer unfitted rake, with the aim to extend the unfitted rake back to where the rake was before it was split. So these give me an opportunity to add yet more variance into the rake. I'd be interested to see an SNCF one, whether it be a triple pack in SNCF livery or as one of 3 in a triple pack of unfitted 16 tonners of mixed types.
Accurascale seems to make more new announcements than some of the more established brands, and the level of presentation is miles ahead. Always thought that the Bachmann example wasn't a bad model. Dapol's version on the other hand is an out of scale bodge. It's like they designed the body to fit an existing chassis. The Accurascale model should be amazing. Hope it's a large production run, these will sell really well.
58 would be nice but I suspect something more steam related which is good. Either way it'll be the usual incredible detail, quality and value from Accurascale. Currently running rings round (or should I say roundy roundy!) the major manufacturers!
hi there, great video, will get some of these, no one yet has thought to build a ready to run model of electric loco 20003 of 1948 which ran on the southern region, used to do the Newhaven boat train
Excellent news: Another challenge to the Big Boys of the hobby! You've created the Class 37 that used to drag these wagons around the South Wales Valleys where I grew up. Any chance of modelling 9F too??
Wow, an Accurascale 9F, wouldn't that be grand? Although, I do wonder if Mr Isles is chomping at the bit to create another small industrial steam masterpiece... I'd be here for that. Or an Accurascale Black 5. Or whatever 😁
What a great presentation, brilliant. These are a much needed wagon, I wanted a rake of them a few years ago and really struggled to find any Bachmann ones, so I think there is a big market for more, so well done on making these. One question, will we still be limited to small production runs or are these going to be in production for many years to come...............Thank you, Dave.
I think the only truly accurate model 16 ton mineral wagon up til now was/is the old Airfix/Dapol model - it is certainly the only one that wasn't distorted to fit a pre-existing chassis.
I’m a big Accurascale fan, I understand that they are here to make money and then make us very happy with their amazing models, this announcement has left me deflated, I wish we were see another long overdue ultra detailed loco, I guess we will have to wait.
Well, looks like I'm going to have to work some extra hours to buy a decent rake of these wagons. They look like they will be excellent models and my poor old Mainline ones will need to be retired.
@ModelRailwayFan38 While I would agree with you as I have a number from both manufacturers. neither are sound fitted with stay alive from the off. That said, Accurascales offers of locomotives have already been produced by Hornby and Bachmann 31. 37 and 50s. Dapol Manor's. It's only with competition from different manufacturers that improvements are made to models. Why do Accurascale fit stay alives? It's because that's what customer's want. Hornby and Bachmann don't plus Accurascale class 37 is cheaper than Bachmann. Thats Progress
@@dinmorejunctionmodelrailway agreed, I just think though it would be better to see something that hasn’t already been made, or hasn’t been for a while. Also, Hornby’s latest run of O8 models will have sound fitted options, which is nice to see, and companies such as YouChoose make sound decoder files that are already loaded onto Zimo decoders, which are easy to install.
@@modelrailfan37 The Hornby class 08 is a great model, the Bachmann class 08 latest model doesn't even have proper wheel bearings! (Sam's Trains review) no class 08 in 00 gauge come with lighting as standard, they are very expensive for what you get, i do believe Accurascale could produce an ultra detailed model that would be very good value for money in a hobby where manufacturers are taking the piss with some of their prices! your opinion is noted but it's about time a new model on another level is released, this is my opinion.
Wagons like that are something I have suggested as well after seeing a layout in Belgium that had a tanker train with a couple or 3 wagons that were chipped and it really sounded good
The biggest difference between your models and the real thing is that there don't appear to be any dents in the main panels. They are all straight out of the manufacturers. Some 3D scans of the bent and dented ones would have much more character.
I feel very deflated, great presentation to be fair, not something that excites me, £75 for 3, should have been a set of 5 for £100 then they might fly off the shelves even quicker then they can develop another loco that we all want to see.
A great choice of product but an anti climax . I speak as a huge fan but there is an optimal length for teasers and ?you exceeded it ( sadly).I’d lost interest when they went on too long .

Thomas,
Class 73, 73, 73, 73!!! I need it to complete my Caledonian Sleeper layout. Please do it!
I guess Dapol will be the very happy Accurascale didn't produce one and embarrass the ass off them, we live in hope another manufacturer will makes happy with a serious model that meets all our great expectations.
Another impressive video here accurascale, looking forward to next one 😊😊😊
Here’s hoping for OO Electrostars!
Hoping for some more steam from you guys

Very entertaining presentation!

some nice rolling stock there...very well kept and presented...and the models are going to be great too.....well done...
Hoping for Class 44 Peak, if announcement time is significant 😊
That gets my vote 👍
Another cool addition to the range I see? I love this!
I like the look of the wagons, I would like accurascale to do is a class 08 diesel shunter and also a class 56 locomotives.

Smooth but when is my BR Green Class 37 due - been waiting years 🤪

I can see Hornby rushing out a lad of these, like they always do.

It's nice to see another wagon which can be hauled by both steam and diesel
LOL how many hearts leapt when the 40 rolled up!
Wonderful! Would love to see more Steam from Accurascale though. Pleaaassee!
A class 124 model would be cool since nobody produced them in rtr for decades

A 40 or with recent connections to the 125 group, a decent HST? 😊
The mink f and g long wheelbase vans of GWR would be nice
An ultra detailed class 73 or a class 58, maybe a class 46 in RTC livery would be superb along with a class 43 HST.

Desiros of any kind would be amazing
Thought it was going to be the peak there for a minute 😩
Yes, my thoughts too! How about a 9F?
I would like to see a Class 08 in oo gauge and with working marker lights .
Z class loco, been waiting for one for years. Can not even get one in kit form.
Some BR second generation DMUs would be good.
9F is my vote.
Class 08 would be my choice
We live in hope.
There are already two well detailed, smooth running O8 models on the market, so I can’t really see why we need a third. Just my opinion though.

how about a 3f jinty?
Class 86/87 would be a good choice, considering the other offerings
What’s wrong with the Heljan class 86 and Hornby class 87?? They’re both excellent models retooled in the last 5 years!
A class 81 would be very welcome
Is accurascale applying the rust and weathering?
You should make a DCC sound version with all the clunking, groaning, squeaking and squealing. Hide the module under a false load.

A Class 47, just to annoy Bachmann!
They already have done this with this new wagon, what about a br 9f next 😂
Good to see
British Railways certainly did you no favours. The least they could have done would have been to produce just one standard type.
Id love a oroper 87. Hornbys is kind of okay but could have been far better executed.
Do another gwr steam loco
Roarers please
Seriously!! All that hype for that. LOL

Like a 56xx

Agreed. There should be a change in how the videos are produced/advertised. Rolling stock should be more to the point, and teasing left to the locos.
Where exactly is the logic in fitting brake gear on one side of these wagons? That little but important word * access* vanished from our vocabulary?
huh?
