Our all new locomotive announcement of the BR Class 60 Diesel locomotive last Friday really took the hobby and industry by storm, with modellers talking about little else. 🤩 We announced 7 main range locomotives, but also teased a glimpse of a couple of exclusive models, two of which we are now announcing! We thought what better way to celebrate the class than to bookend them, with 60001 in the...

Accurascale Class 92: A Closer Look and Update!
Definitely be ordering 902 for my Cardiff Canton Layout, please do the Ruston 37/9’s too!
Am a bit concerned having ordered one of these, they look larger than I expected... almost 1 to 1 scale in fact
Will be looking out for one of these
Very nice, but where's the class 89?
We also called them Slugs, slow to take up power due to load reg vane motor feed
I worked on all the full scale 37/ 9's Best ones 37905 and 37906, worst of them 37903 always in trouble . Mirrlees , horrible engine. Ruston great and could used conventional tools for maintenance . Spent years working on them at Canton. We removed silencers as they fractured. We made an exhaust stack straight off the turbo giving it a throaty roar
Outstanding models. Love my 37.
That would of been interesting if the 37/9s had got EMD645s
Hi, I really like seeing these videos and the story behind each locomotive class you highlight in them. Thank you, all the best Dave.
I wonder if the Ruston unit being half the original units weight affected traction?
Have you fixed the derailment issues with these new class 37 or can they still not handle gradients?
All our rolling stock is designed and tested to work of a minimum or R2 curves and 4% incline/declines.
@ there are consistent reports of issues with your 37 - see Chadwick model railway on RUclips, articles in MRJ on opening up the centre axle of the bogie to fix it, etc. So your design needs to be improved if you want to retain any credibility as a model manufacturer.
@@simonturner5450 watch part two of Charlie's video on the 37... it was a kink in his track. 30,000 37s sold and counting, I think they'd know if it were the design. 😅
@@NewJunction The issue is that the centre axle is too rigid so unless it’s running on perfectly flat track it will see-saw on the outer wheels and derail. The fix is relatively straightforward (it will probably invalidate the warranty so you do it at your own risk naturally): remove the bogie keeper plate, take out the centre wheelset, take off its wheels, remove the two brass axle bearings (part 165), refit and back to back the wheels, put the centre wheelset back, refit the keeper plate and it’s done. Why this can’t be done at the factory I do not understand.
@@simonturner5450 easier to sort your track 😆
So, this chap has a junior project manager under his control, eh? Or is it just a nonsense title so that everyone in the company sounds good?
Senior project manager means he oversees several projects at the same time. A regular project manager oversees only one or two at once.
Titles within Accurascale are earned from a mix of previous experience and as a reflection of roles undertaken.
Thanks Accurascale, cannot wait, eill be bankrupt but hey ho!
Yes its a first for 902/903 Rushton and i cannot wait! Oooops i meant Mirlees, Rushton 905/906.
I've just written to them about the newer green ROG livery. I ned it so bad. They have already done the loco but not it's new livery. Would like to see the class 93 in Rog green too. I ordered the exclusive.
Think ill write to them along with you, it's a must and you know what, think they will do it! Imagine the box if it's an exclusive, wow! Come on Accurascale please deliver!
looks great if you have the cash for these, good video,
Any plans to do 37250 in its current EWS livery (Wensleydale Railway) ?
Agreed that would be a must for me too!
all they are doing is body shell refit rubbish make new model witch no one has made
No one has made a 37/9 in model form and I’ve been wanting AC to do 901 since I first saw it
Bachmann did Ruston versions 37905/906 with correct exhaust ports. @@StPetersLayout
Wrong. Watch again and learn
37901 is that the loco that sat in ash church army camp for along time,?@@StPetersLayout
Nice 👍 Europhoenix is the one for me 👍😍👍
Gotta love a class 37 😍
"Siphoned off" - ho ho ho🙂
902 is a immediate no brainer for me, ordered !
Very informative video.😊
is all that white stuff on the ground , from rail fans called Foamers ? ) ( models look good )
My dream come true! Wull go for 902 as it has a nameplate and 903 doesn't haha plus i prefer uts sector livery, cannot wait, cheers Nick.
Have yous looked into or thought about making advent calendars with little people or other bits in but as accurascale limited addition where they change every Yr or 2?
I love these kinda of videos. Lets you full appreciate all the effort that does into these models. Keep up the good work y'all
No. 59 on pre-order 🎉
Love your models can you help me please l have your new class 31in D C ready how do you turn on the working fan as it does not say in the instructions. All the best Colin from Mossend railway oo 😊.
Get onto Support, they'll beable to assist
This is awesome! Hopefully you do Wagoner in blue and also Juno :-) Wagoner is my son's favourite loco on the Isle of Wight Steam Railway.
For those wondering…the base project is an Alco 539T
nice 1 so ok what was the last train to be built by Hunslet ?
Where is the volume sales in this ... Done to death already no hype could make me buy one Try looking for something new to do !! Great video though !! Put the same effort into researching modellers and customers needs
All very well as long as you can wait over a year for it.
I knew it before I clicked on the video
Another Austerity great
Why isn't 66 on the range
Not yet... ;)
@NewJunction okay bc then I might by it
Excellent video production quality. Well done to the team
Will these be able to run on DC power? I know it wouldn't have the full sound function but I don't have DCC.
Yes, the sound version also runs on DC, and you get chuff and random noises
There are two versions of each loco. DCC ready which will run on DC and DCC with Sound. The DCC ready is £100 cheaper than the DCC Sound version.
Excellent news. Some great choices of variants, and good to hear that a stay-alive comes as standard.
Because we all need another J94. 😮
We need the definitive J94
i volunteer there
I will buy all examples produced!
A bit underwhelmed by the announcement, but the video has made me want to visit Quainton Rd, well done. 🙂
It is worth a trip, I have been several times.
Yet again people seem confused about how announcements work. 😅 Pack up those EPs, Steve, people want a Saint... Anyway, great video - that's how an announcement is done 👍 Also looking forward to the model, this is the kind of duplication I can get behind; Austerity done proper (I'm sure).
Any gaming fans thought the music was lovingly ripped off from Dragon Age: Inquisition?
I hope they would make the different variants of the Midland / SDJR / LMS / BR, 2-8-0’s
3:30 I don't think that will fit on my layout mate
Should have done RSH 7289 of 1945 FRED which had no ladders but a similar chimney and air passages in the firebox walls which could have been background lit, was ex-NCB Walkden and used on Worth Valley in their early years, currently stored at Tysley.
Very much looking forward to this
if you make the Dean Forest Railway's austerity 0-6-0 "Wilbert" i will buy it in a heartbeat
Same reason 9681 landed in my basket!
The most thoroughly versatile J94 Aussie to date. Looking forward to production.
