Watching Corey Deuel play barbox 8-ball feels like I’m going to pool school! Getting back into pool and watching as much of him and SVB as possible. It’s like they always know the right shot/pattern.
i agree with comments on the race to 5 wins not being enough games for the caliber of the players...good thing the break rotates or somebody could be toast even faster
Your audio has always been low. Maybe something to do with RUclips. It would be nice if you could fix it in the future. Great quality though. Thank you.
+Daniel Kandi I don't know how to do that. just fix it in the future. hey send me an ob sneaky peat. just kidding. 450 is too much for that cue. way over priced.
I hope one of the officials in this channel will work to develop or improve the sound level because it is so bad that we can neither listen to the commentators nor the sound of the balls hitting each other.
Can someone explain to me why they rack the balls by hand and have the triangle film underneath as opposed to using the basic triangular tool? It seems so inefficient
That shot at the end (where shane had the 2 and the 6) he could have glanced the right side of the 2 and hid behind the 6. there wouldn't have been a shot on the table after that.
I'm an amateur, so I don't know the pro rules. But in the 4th game, Shane makes 3 solids on the break and no stripes. Then he shoots the stripes. Is that legal in pros?
They are playing BCA rules. after break if balls are made it is still open table. Also no slop. APA rules you have to play what you made and unintended balls made count.
Closed break is one of the dumbest rules ever... Get punished for making a ball on the break. I haven't seen so many tournaments use a closed break rule
I figured he played off that ball so he could keep it a straighter shot and hold shapes for the 3. Playing it straight in the pocket would be more of a cut and cause the cue ball to head to the end rail then left side rail
@@r8wells there is NO WAY he played off that ball to keep shape. Hence 39:11 "Shane did not like that". It just happened that he hit it perfect unintentionally and it worked out. Why do you think Ken Shuman says "lucky shot" on the 4 ball" at 39:28
Aldoobie that’s very possible. It was just my thought when I first saw it. But I was responding to Akash because he said it was to open the 8 up. Which I disagreed with because that was the next shot after the Karom. Akash could also be mistaken on what shot you were referencing. Which would make more sense lol.
Why do pros play on bar box at all??!! It's like playing pool in a phone booth! Yeah, yeah, I know the clusters on a bar box, etc... blah blah blah... but if any competent player, let alone these pros, can't handle clusters on the bar box then they should just quit playing!
I hate to be a shit talker. But this commentator kills me. sounds like he's got 4 pricks in he's mouth when he's talking. Makes it pretty annoying to listen to. But he's seems professional and knowledge about the games.
Maybe, you are confused as to what the USBTC stands for? United States Bar Table Championship. Bar table eightball isn't easy by any means. Small table, means more congestion.
@@TNskinny Thanks. I usually play on a 8x4 table but whenever I go to play on a 9x4.5, I always find it easier. I thought the opposite should've happened tbh.

I really admire Shane's break..
Watching SVB overthink that 2nd rack was painful.
Extra points for the way he wipes his cue tip off on the nice rug after the handshake.
It's a barbox race to 5, every decision is crucial.
USBTC was such a great tournament. So sad it's gone...

who doesn't know these guys come on now wtf?
shot clock for nine ball not eight
Sarcasm new to you

I turned my sound up and it was okay
Can someone explain to me why they rack the balls by hand and have the triangle film underneath as opposed to using the basic triangular tool? It seems so inefficient
Inefficient due to time yes, but what the magic rack does that a normal rack doesn't is rack the balls in a consistent manner, every time.
@@airman20012001 every fuckin time!
I'm a big Shane fan, does he ever win the lag?
Surprisingly not as often as one would expect.
That shot at the end (where shane had the 2 and the 6) he could have glanced the right side of the 2 and hid behind the 6. there wouldn't have been a shot on the table after that.
I saw the same thing, thin the 2 and tuck behind the six.Great safety.
I was thinking come off the rail hide behind something 🤔
Too late at night to watch this whole thing. Shot clocks are a good thing
Shane looks like the bad guy off of the Shia Labeouf movie, Disturbia. Couldn’t help myself.
is it me, or does Cory duel look like a young Ray liotta?
+Robbie Rayburn yes, he really does look like him
Corey is an amazing player but if these two were racing to a 100 I'd put all of my money on Shane.
+Mustardeer M Yes but Shane is also much younger too. Youth is an advantage with a really long set.
We would all pass away before the finish.
I would ut my money on corey if he was playing 100 like when he was in 2000
Blah blah blah they'll never play to 100 so your comment is irrelevant
Corey might very well beat Shane in a race to 100 on a bar box. On a 9'er SVB has a big advantage because of his break.
8 ball is much more interesting on a bar box IMO, especially when its a bar box with tight pockets.
What's with the silly, cumbersome triangle they're having to rack with? I've never seen one of those in a bar. ;)
+Mr D 89 ita called a magic rack its done to make sure all the balls are touching for a consistent break
These guy's have a rivalry...
SVB is taking a ridiculous amount of time.
Most people say Efren is their favorite player. Universe brains know that CD is the correct answer.
Mr S.V.B is gonna be O.U.T :/ idk why but it made me laugh....
Is that a 7 foot table????????
'Scuse my ignorance but why don't they just use a rack?
That template has holes in it that make the entire rack frozen all balls every rack.

Jack Frost since there pros wouldn't that make better sense if it was other way around

Kaksjsjsjii kksj
we really need a shot clock. i am watching it at 2x speed and it is still slow as fuck.
Who the fuck invented this new rack?
All these for tv colored balls do is mix me up. I don't think they help at all.
39:06 when things are going your way...
He played it that way to knoff off the stripe ball to make way for 8 ball
I figured he played off that ball so he could keep it a straighter shot and hold shapes for the 3. Playing it straight in the pocket would be more of a cut and cause the cue ball to head to the end rail then left side rail
Akash Deodhar my comment in regards to yours

Fun fact: I lost $1000 on this match!
Sweatpants at the US Open? Really?
slow play i could run 2 or 3 racks before they could play one lol
i see comments but no youtube on running racks . these 2 can beat me and u Race to 13 .
@@MikeBilliardsFun78 bet I give em a good challenge
There should be a shot clock. I wish the announcer would quite flapping his gums. That sound is annoying as hell. This is like watching paint dry.
Why does no one care about audio anymore? This low volume video is awful.
Commentator sucks anyway, just mute

obviously no shot clock. they need one.

Is the commentary eating something? those tongue noises are absolutely appalling
this volume sucks!

What a boring slow game!
Really wanted to watch this match but not with them playing on that kiddie table. Waste of my time.
