  • Jack Carr led special operations teams as a Team Leader, Platoon Commander, Troop Commander and Task Unit Commander. Over his 20 years in Naval Special Warfare he transitioned from an enlisted SEAL sniper to a junior officer leading assault and sniper teams in Iraq and Afghanistan, to a platoon commander practicing counterinsurgency in the southern Philippines, to commanding a Special Operations Task Unit in the most Iranian influenced section of southern Iraq throughout the tumultuous drawdown of U.S. Forces.
Now, a New York Times bestselling author, his fifth book in the James Reece action/thriller series, In The Blood, is preparing to release May 17th.
His first book, The Terminal List, has been turned into an Amazon series led by Chris Pratt, and will release July 1st.

I was the empty headed 19 year old Marine grunt in Helmand Province, Afghanistan who knew after only a few months of my first deployment that Afghanistan was a hopeless campaign. You can’t help a people who don’t want your help and don’t want to change or develop. And after hearing 10 more years of Generals and politicians testifying before congress that we were making progress I was in disappointed disbelief. What I found unforgivable was when the big withdrawal happened, and they all acted surprised that the country folded in hours and told the American people that no one saw it coming. Every young American who trained Afghan National Army or Afghan police saw it coming for two decades.
