This is a great episode. Jack Carr is wonderful to listen to. Man got some serious smarts. It's always fun listening to you, Andy. Your personality is contagious. Always a blast listening to you on any platform. You and Jack together....perfection :)
Andy: "How do the book and series differ" Jack: (an hour and twenty-three minutes after Andy's question): "The differences between the 2 are..." Love the tangents!
I usually domt read fiction, but i started the terminal list books and i cannot put them down, very well done building characters and telling multiple stories over different times
We are blessed by to have insider conversation among friends! I'm truly honored to hear the great conservation amazing friends! Thank you for the insight you share with us! Being a former marine, I appreciate your podcast young man! Thank you!
Loved the terminal list. I was impressed by Chris Pratt I wasn't sure if he could pull it off but he did an outstanding job. It was a great story line to the ending really got me awesome job.

Quentin Tarantino said on a recent podcast he had been mulling over a potential First Blood remake, closely adapting the book, with Adam Driver as Rambo and Kurt Russell as Teasle.
Now that would be interesting but i have no idea why Tarantino would wanna take it on, his style would be too chatty for that movie. John Rambo didnt pontificate about the nature of warfare a whole lot 😆. Maybe he could produce it and let Robert Rodriguez direct it.
@@srsmedic8285 Driver is a great actor and he is a former Marine but if a First Blood remake absolutely has to happen...then I would still rather see someone else as Rambo. I know that a lot of guys in the military don't necessarily look like Sylvester Stallone but there are also guys in the military who look exactly like what you would expect some bad-ass dude in the military to look like-and that's John Rambo.
Jack Carr is the man. I have read all of the books and have already pre-ordered the fifth. Can't wait for the Amazon series. If the other books get made, I wonder who will play the role of Raife? He only came in at the end of Terminal List, but play a crucial role in the next books.
Two phenomenal, intelligent, and charismatic men. Only 2 1/2 hours. Come on. I could have laughed for 10 hours with y’all. What a strong bond trauma builds. It’s like you two talk every day. Hopefully those young “people”, teetering on the decision to put their right hand in the air or back on their joystick, are watching material like this and decide to take the path less traveled, but obviously more rewarding.
I love each of these books. I have very high hopes for the production. I know there will be differences but that might be part of what makes everything work.... Also very happy about Chris Pratt being part of this.........
Great interview ! Jack will be in Scottsdale for his book launch. Regrettably I have to work but will definitely order it. Thank you both for your service, honesty and humor.
Thank you! Awesome podcast, these are the ones that remind me the positive elements to the times we live in. Such as the fact that us listeners get to be privy to these funny, entertaining and informative discussions.
Another great podcast from two really interesting blokes. Currently reading book 4 of Jacks and really looking forward to In the Blood and the Amazon prime series. Just had to google that Ben guy couldn’t help myself! Love listening to interesting stuff i know nothing about. Thanks and keep up your awesome podcasts.
Oh man, I was reminded of the first time I fired a javelin, and it just pooped outa the tube and looked like it was going to hit the ground in front of me. Great podcast, Jack is a treasure for certain!
I was the empty headed 19 year old Marine grunt in Helmand Province, Afghanistan who knew after only a few months of my first deployment that Afghanistan was a hopeless campaign. You can’t help a people who don’t want your help and don’t want to change or develop. And after hearing 10 more years of Generals and politicians testifying before congress that we were making progress I was in disappointed disbelief. What I found unforgivable was when the big withdrawal happened, and they all acted surprised that the country folded in hours and told the American people that no one saw it coming. Every young American who trained Afghan National Army or Afghan police saw it coming for two decades.
Jack, Please tell me our voyage to South Africa is in the show?!?! Haha hands down my favorite part of the books. He finally finds some peace, For a time…. My favorite series to read over and over
Former Marine that got to attend BSR, what a blast! I was there in 97' was Senior Chief Gold Dust Frank still an instructor there when you got there? Great Podcast today! Thanks for all of the content.

Alot of these podcasts can be very heavy so this one was a great change of pace, very funny guys. I had to watch "The Rock" on the rock in Okinawa in 1996 with a theatre full of Marines which was uh, very entertaining (for a non Marine) and then on Kadena a month later, very different experience 😆. That movie (and Nicholas Cage) almost single handidly destroyed military themed movies for me.
If someone could find one of Jack's books that have been signed by Andy for me that would be AMAZEBALLS!!! I live in Australia so I can't unfortunately.
Great interview with "Jack Carr" as always. I notice they're both wearing the same watch. I thought it was an IWC, but it's not. Anyone know what it is? I'd like one.
Loved this…. I follow Jacks podcasts so he already watched the other half. Gonna start following Andy’s now for sure. Just like two old pals ripping the shit out of each other. Couldn’t have done without the Rambo book spoiler tho lol I’ll have to wait until my 40+ brain forgets it before I get that book now 😂
So....he has plans for other projects..... Do I see an Andy Stumpf auto-biography (ghost written by Jack Carr) in the future? ha ha. You could call it, "No S#@t, There I was". Or "The Crazy S#@t We Did". In all seriousness, I love the conversations between you two. They always flow so naturally.
Best Jack Carr interview I’ve listened to. Definitely looking forward to a new Amazon series. Bosch is a phenomenal series, which was also done by Amazon collaborating with Michael Connelly, so I’m sure this will also be very well done. Andy, do you ever watch the HBO series Barry? I think you would p*ss yourself laughing if you watched it. It’s a dark comedy about a former Marine turned hitman, who then decides he wants to be an actor, and starts taking acting lessons in Hollywood.
"Remember when it gets hard, you can always quit." - Jack Carr
"The only easy day is everyday"
What did he quit?
Cancel just listened to that bit on the podcast
"Remember when it gets hard, you can stop being a bitch"

I love the humor, humility and brutal honesty of both Andy and Jack. 2 of the best on all social media.
My absolute 2 favorite podcasters podcasting together. Best Monday morning ever.
Jack Carr, no matter what any persons' opinion may be, is one informed man. He speaks intellectually yet has real-world experience. Thanks!
Super glad that George addressed the belt degree issue. Never a dull moment with both of you together!
Easily two of my favorites. Genuinely honored to listen to you guys talk!!
Two minutes in and already had a laugh. Good banter lads.
Thank god. I really need this today to get through this week. Thank you Andy for all you do
I am so glad you had Jack on to talk about the new book and the TV series!
