Wwell done on producing an effective and learned appraisal of the C-130J Hercules. It was an honest opinion which is really helpful for the model kit hobbyist. Well managed. Cheers Mike

Just building this model, and I'm not sure which side of the piece 25c should be facing up and which should be facing down (there's one side that has a little line-shaped bump on it and the other is just flat) . Does anybody know the answer?

Why does it have two side windows below the cockpit windshield, shouldn’t it have one only, if it’s a super J?

In addition to the manufacturer, scale, and of course the model type formation, could you include the manufacturer’s kit number in the Vlog’s title (and perhaps include it as part of the box’s side review/comments section of the kit review section? Tnx.

No problem James, will do so in the vids, but Bobby takes care of the Vlog titles. Great feedback, thank you.

Having worked on the C-130 at Depot 13+ yearsof my 26 years, YES it will take a bit of work to get into shape...
One thing to keep in mind about the Italeri C-130 kits in both 1/72nd and 1/48th scale is the the Nose Strut will NOT take any "Side to Side" movement, it will "Shear" the Strut into 2 pieces. Your best bet is to get the White Metal set of Struts from a company called "SAC". They do a bunch of other kit Landing Gear Struts in both scales of the kit parts that are too WEAK to support the kit's weight over a period of time.
Another thing about this C-130J kit is that the Engines are NOT molded "Correctly". There has been aftermarket companies that you can find that has the "Correct" shape Engines.
As for the "Raised" Panel Lines, that is "Sealant" to prevent Water, Grease, Dirt, and etc. from getting between the Skins of the Aircraft that may cause "Corrosion".
Go look at a C-130 at a scale of 1/72nd scale and tell me WHAT "Recessed" Panel lines do you see?!? Most the ones you see is the GAPS between the Flight Controls.
I understand that a company i the Russia is doing some NEW "Tooled" C-130 kits, let's see how they look...

I agree, there are no panels really on the external skin that have recessed panel lines. Maybe the SPR access panel, battery bay and crew door. Having not built the kit yet, the ramp and door will naturally have their own recess panel lines like the real thing.

Nice review. I have this kit. Awesome aircraft shame it’s a typical Italeri rubbish kit. Just going to take a bit of work. Wish someone else like Academy would do a C-130. Bit this one is our only option in this scale. Thanks for sharing

The instrument panel is double sided, the other side is more realistic

Doesn't look like anything more than a reissue..
The RAF haven't operated out of Lyneham for at least 5 years..
    They operate from Brize Norton..
Looks like they still haven't addressed the sponsor problem
