I really love BX & Seunghun in YG Treasure Box, but I believe that they fit better in CIX. I will forever support them together with TREASURE & all YG Treasure Box trainees who debuted in different groups.
I have a lot to say about CIX. As a huge YG fan, I've been following the journeys of YG trainees aver since Mix Nine, through Silver Boys, and then YG Treasure Box. Sadly, I feel like YG didn't want to debut them from the start, since they were considered the "average YG trainee" and the company wanted to show a different color of YG and cater to idol culture more by including foreigner members and more dynamic dancing. At the and I think this was the reason why YG let BX and Seunghun go, who both were almost expected to debut from the start of the survival show by fans. I'm happy that they collided with Jinyoung, who really surprised me with his debut in CIX. In Produce101 he somewhat lacked in skills, but once he debuted and had more stage experience he bloomed into a true performer and gained so much confidence. This is why I advocate for companies not hiding idols but giving them opportunities to gain experience in the industry. Hyunsuk and Yonghee are so talented and lovely, I couldn't wish for anything more from this group. Their discography is immaculate, and their b-sides are amazing (Young is my personal favorite).
I think those two are also more mature than what YG has envisioned for Treasure image so they were eliminated. Treasure is a very young, youthful, fresh boy group meanwhile these two fit a mature, sexy image better

But I feel like the company's assumptions were totally wrong, BX and Seunghun can easily pull off a fresh/cute concept, YG just underestimated their skills to adapt (which happens a lot). YG has been disposing of their trainees because they are searching for people who fit a certain concept for years. They sent away a lot of girl trainees throughout the years, but hopefully, they'll find their place in other groups.
5:09 Based on what I saw in Treasure box, BX would have been a rapper and a leader . I saw his leadership skills in that show (don't wanna spoil just in case you end up watching the show) and a lot of the contestants respected and trusted his judgment.
I watched this along with you and now I have to check them out- I knew BX Seunghun and Bae Jinyoung but not that much about CIX. What made me laugh was how fast Bae Jinyoung had a genuine answer to the rhetorical question "how do I act charismatically!?" lol! "Lower your voice, tuck in your chin and keep your eyes up" - that's an experienced idol, right there!
BX & Seunghun were one of my favorite candidates in YG Treasure Box and I was watching the every episode of the show in tears back then; I was totally heart broken after they got eliminated... though I love all the other boys in Treasure now. I really love Seunghun's voice and chill attitude of BX. happy for all of them, Treasure boys and CIX. I do really hope you do react to YG Treasure Box.
I swear all of us told you about the Treasure Box connection the first time you reacted to them lololol. It's ok tho. Now you know ;-) Your Jinyoung bias was obvious from the very first reaction, heh. Understandable. He do be fine and very eye-catching. I am obsessed with his dancing. My bias is actually Hyunsuk, but I have had every single member of CIX as a wrecker at some point lol. They're just that kind of group. BX used his real name Lee Byounggon during YG Treasure Box. He was in Treasure A, the longest running trainee group that took part and was also one of the oldest trainees on the whole show. Seunghun was also in Treasure A. They're still very good friends with the Treasure kids and they all support each other very much :)
i feel like sooner or later every K-pop fan even if its just 1, will have those friendship pairs especially when it comes to pre-debut that we just are so proud of when they do debut (whether they debuted together or separately) BX and seunghun are one of those pairs for me. the fact that they got to be together with each other made me so happy. and no, bx came from cix. he went by his real name before. and yes it is pronounced c-i-x yet they type it as six haha
BX and Seunghun are one of my bias since pre-debut silverboys era and honestly, I think it's the best decision for them to leave yg even though they could've debuted at yg just because of the concept of treasure, they suit CIX concept more. But i was once that fan before (ygtb era) that got so disappointed that they aren't gonna debut with yg treasure because i badly, desperately wanted my silverboys to debut together and that is also the reason why i just couldn't rewatch treasure box because it was so painful. (silver boys fan could probably relate to me) their friendship and bond really just stand so strong for me that's why. but nonetheless, i already accepted it and I'm happy for BX and seunghun at CIX and also for treasure and the other silverboys that debuted in other groups. I will definitely be checking out their music now. I enjoy these helpful guide videos. Not only do we get to learn about each member but it’s a reminder of how long and hard they’ve worked to get where they are today. There is so much talent in K-pop.
Although I'm really happy with how things turned out, watching Treasure Box was one of the most infuriating things ever as someone that has always loved Byunggon-Seunghun-Hyunsuk YG was SO hard on the three of them, and by the end it seemed like he had just decided his line-up and discarded the two trainees EVERYONE thought would debut for sure - bc I mean look at them, they're perfect idols I love Treasure as they are now and it would really be a shame if CIX didn't exist as they do now bc they really have a top 3 discography ... but YG really sucks lol

I remember being so mad that GonHun were cut from TB. They were easily 2 of the strongest YG trainees so to see them eliminated was hard. But after TREASURE made their debut, I understood why they weren't included. GonHun didnt match the concept YG was going for. GonHun would've been fine in TREASURE cause they're really good, but honestly they shine best in a more mature group. CIX is perfect for them aesthetically and sonically. TREASURE would've been too packed for them to really shine. But I'm still waiting for Hun and Yedam to collaborate.

Seunghun and Jeongwoo was my bias in YGTB. If BX and Seunghun didn’t leave YG they might have been Treasure Members but I guess it’s good that they’re with CIX now coz they are of the same age. Us YGTB fans still support all the YG Trainees. We are happy for them to achieve their dreams to debuting. BX and Seunghun are part of YG silver boys during their trainee days.

I've been with BX & Seunghun since MIXNINE & TB. Such Painful journey. I can't forget how BX take care of JUNKYU & HYUNGSUK ...and in TB, really hurt so much watching Seunghun cries, again and again when his hopes shattered by YG rough comments. I cried so much during the last EP, when Seunghun was eliminated. Its painful seeing HYUNGSUK, YEDAM, JUNKYU crying a river an BX too, they are supposed to debut together. But yeah, life goes on and I think god have a better plan, both groups are doing great and they fit so much in their groups now, Happy for them all!

Not debuting in Treasure doesn't mean that they are less talented than them but because they don't fit the concept that YG wants with treasure. They are more manly and sexy while treasure are cute and youthful. It is their destiny to be with CIX. GD used to be a trainee in SM but he left because SM concept is not fit for him. He is more on hiphop side. Even Park Bogum audition in YG , he was also not accepted. Now he is a famous actor, and that is his destiny.

I think they originally meant for CIX to be pronounced as 6 because there was going to be a sixth member but they ended up dropping that member right before debut so I think that’s why they changed it to C-I-X

Byounggon and Seunghun are very close with most of the TREASURE members. As they were senior trainees at YGE at the time. Alongside Yedam, Hyunsuk, Junkyu, Jihoon, Doyoung, Midam, Noa, Raesung, and Woong they were part of a fan named group known as Silver Boys. It was a surprise when they didn’t debut cause of the shift that YGE going for during that time but I mean it all worked out perfectly imo.
The great things if you trained in YG especially boys is they learned to composed & write songs mostly rappers from YG are good in making music maybe that's why YG bring back Yoshi & Asahi who already eliminated in Treasure Box because of their skills in composing...
