Good you got some time off Pete ! Too bad about the boat . But , Its time will come again . I like the way you do stuff , Just a bloke trying to fix something without spending all the money ! Scott 🌵
Hi Scott, thanks for the feedback! Yeah, I was kinda gutted about not getting her in the water (this break). But as you say, It will happen. Working to a budget kinda comes from 'necessity', rather than 'choice'! Ha ha!! Getting away up to the lake was awesome!! I should have gone up earlier!!
Hey pete Truly Enjoy watching you wrench on some of your projects. But my grandfather always told me. Life is too short to get in a hurry. Another one is life is like a s*** sandwich. The more bread you have, the less s*** you get. Keep the project going, thanks.
Thanks Brian! Your Grandfather sounds like a very wise man!! I haven't finished yet. There's still plenty more work to do!! Thanks for the comment. :-)
Kin oath Pete ,The more you look the worst things are. Yeah a couple of days with your feet up is good for you. Always interested in looking in your backyard
Definitely keen for a look at all your projects mate, glad you got to enjoy the last bit of your holidays mate. I'm just coming to the end of 14 days straight working on my boat and that used up almost all my time off that I had. Stay safe mate and looking forward to the next video 👍
Thanks Tim! Please don't 'burn yourself out' with your boat!! But I have no doubt that you made a huge amount of progress, right? I can see in your video's that your 'kicking goals' with each stage! And yes, I am impressed!!! Also, thanks for the feedback, I will be doing a yard tour shortly.
Hi Pete, I know what you mean about life choices. I have always took on projects without thinking about the time to do them. Now with the new year and being 68 I’m going to try to stick with the countless projects I already have. After the backhoe I think the new loader/3-71 project would be great, I’m sure the neighbors would appreciate it! But work on what you want to or need to, the squeaky wheel gets the oil. See you on my next video and show you what I’m up to.😀
Hi Geoffrey, and thanks for the comment :-) I definitely have too many projects on the go, and more seem to be 'appearing'! My current thinking is to finish off the backhoe, and then get back onto finishing the boat. (I keep telling myself) The boat is surprisingly close to being usable, and once done, will give me another "escape" from being in my shed every day. A lot of these comments seem to be interested in a tour of the yard, so this may be the next vid!
@@pete-mate3524 I find its the going that counts most. :) The details count to be sure. Lunch at a pub half way up a twisty mountain counting for more than a trip around the local sewage farm, but I'll still take once around the settling ponds with glee if that's what's on offer :D
Never junk, just gear needing some love and and that ever precious time.
Thanks Andy! Yes, I would definitely love more time!!!
Never junk, just projects/parts in waiting. "One mans junk is another mans treasure." Would love to see what you've collected, and future projects.
Ha ha! I like your thinking!! I'll get it done, then. Thank you for the comment.
