- It's Day 2 of our Walt Disney World vacation! We went to Magic Kingdom today. My mother joined us an hour after the park opened and my aunt joined later in the afternoon. We stacked a lot of lightning lanes for later in the evening so they both could enjoy them and stuck around for fireworks.
We ate Whispering Canyon Cafe for lunch at the Wilderness Lodge and Columbia Harbour House for dinner inside Magic Kingdom.
Tron was the ride highlight of the day for everyone.
We didn't make it back until 11:20 PM and everyone was pretty tired by the end of the day.

Having the best time watching this vacation series! Thanks Traver and Amy for sharing it with us 🤗
Nice to enjoy a more leisurely time in the park with you guys - a welcome break from so much content out there which is go-go-go.
Thanks for inviting us along. Tron looked great at night!
It’s the best time to go over there. The ride isn’t super affected as the outdoor portion is only like 5 seconds long, but it just looks better at night.
My old stomping ground for many years.. love living near Disneyland and having magic keys but THAT castle 😍🏰🏰🏰
47:15 yayyyy so glad Benjamin is a “hands up all ride” kinda rider 🔥🔥🔥
He loves to be hands in the air!
I like WDW Winnie the Pooh so much better than Disneyland’s. The pre-walk through !
I love watching your family they make me so excited for Disney
Always Always such a great video. I love watching you and your family. You guys are just the best and can't wait to see more.
People watching is a good way to pass the time 👍
So excited for this series - was literally refreshing youtube waiting for it today! So glad to see you're all having fun!
I’m team Amy. I love the overcast
So cool to see you doing your stuff this morning ! Thank for taking the time to meet us
Love People watching
Yes!!! The PeopleMover. Best. Ever. I did watch you walk past Carousel of Progress. “There’s a great big beautiful tomorrow”. It’s time to go back.
We went to Carousel of Progress on our second Magic Kingdom day. It’s definitely a must. Couldn’t visit without going at least once.
People watching is one of the best parts!
watching these makes me so happy! such a cute family!
You da man! Love joining u on these adventures!!
These videos are amazing, I love the long vlogs.Thank you!
I love to people watch. Your video makes me want to visit the Florida parks again.
This was so fun to watch, thanks for taking us with you.
Awesome fun
Thank you for the video
This is so good. Thanks for sharing.
Mmmmmm. Mint julep lemonade sounds yummy.
Great video, throughly enjoyed it.
❤ WDW
Hi Everyone. I’m starting an Orlando channel on everything to do in Orlando. Disney, Universal, Sea World, Ways to save money etc.
I’m taking requests for videos if there is anything people want to see. Please reply here and I will share the channel in a week or so. Thank you.
We love Whispering Canyon and the all you can eat skillet. We order different ones then all share the different items. After lunch, I would have taken a bus to Hollywood Studios then Skyliner to Pop. Just an idea for next time.
We knew. We just like taking the boat.
@@SoCalDisneyDad okay! The boat is lots of fun!
Yay, grandma got to join. And your aunt . So cool. Tell your mom hi for me. I'm a people watcher. Boarding group 1 for Tron 👍. Frozen lemonade mint julep. Disneyland needs to get it together. Along with the coconut pineapple dole whip. 🙏🏻 I smiled this whole vlog. 😊
It was a really great day overall. The whole trip was, in general. But so many good moments on this day.
@@SoCalDisneyDad may I ask where you were for the secret spot for the fireworks?
@@CupcakeGrogan Back by the entrance to Be Our Guest, but a little further along the path closer to Cinderella Castle
@@SoCalDisneyDad thank you 😀
@1:51 “that’s what she said” 😂
That frozen mint julip lemonade looks goooood. Good tip to bring a reusable metal straw. The cardboard ones are a bit of a buzz kill.
The Mint Julep bar needs a frozen Mint Julep for sure. If they ever add one to the menu, it'll be a regular purchase for me for sure.
Too late now but next time you are at Hollywood Studios, try the blueberry Mickey waffles at Hollywood Scoops. They are the superior Mickey waffle at Disney World in my opinion. 🙂
I prefer overcast. 🌫️
You need to try fireworks viewing from Frontierland on the river walkway. You can see some of the projections on the side of the castle and the fireworks over the water are beautiful. Nobody is over there at all. Then you can beat the crowd at Big Thunder orHaunted Mansion.
Thanks for the suggestion! I'll have to try it next time we visit.
17:00 I didn’t get to ride people mover when I was in WDW 😱
Oh no! I guess you’ll have to go back. 😅
Neck fan: I have a different brand and I can squeeze the ends together a bit so I can feel the air better.
This one is rigid. We are going to buy a few different types for the summer once it starts to get hot in SoCal. Won’t really happen for another 1-2 months though.
@@SoCalDisneyDad Nexair brand - good price too. 19.99
Nice video
Wanted to say hi! We were the family who said hi to you in line at Disney this morning! Have a great day!
Thank you for saying hi! Hope you are having a great day today!
Same here, love to see them having fun, and grandma too, what a lovely family. Thank you for sharing.
I agree with you on the grey stuff, Disneyland’s is definitely better!
Have you ever ridden Tron on a different row? If so, is it really better to ride front row?
I have. It’s fun either way. But I love the front row on most things (Big Thunder excepted).
Thank you for the video! What is the brand of neck fan you were using?
Who'd have thought you'd be a soggy waffle lover. :D. Looks like you all had fun, great video!
The waffles at Carnation Cafe are superior to Whispering Canyon in my opinion. We had to get them again at Carnation yesterday to compare to vindicate my memory of Carnation's as being better. So good.
@@SoCalDisneyDad My favorite way to make them is crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. If they were hard all the way through they were left in the machine too long. I have a feeling the quality is highly dependent on the person at the waffle station!
The Indians jones hat looks good on you. For the pirates of the Caribbean in Orlando, how was it compare to Disneyland? Did it have any drop? I went on it long time ago and found it boring. I just went on the one in Disneyland this Sunday and it has a few drops. I also went on to the one in Disney Shanghai and it was 10x better than the ones in Disneyland and Disney world Florida.
The Shanghai one is definitely the superior version from everything I’ve seen online.
There is a single drop at WDW for Pirates and it pretty much drops straight to the Pirate ship scene.
Where Disneyland’s is about 3-4 minutes longer and has a second drop.
Aloha; do you need to reserve a virtual cue for guardians and Tron? or are they like the other rides and can you lightning lane them or are they ala carte?
A virtual queue reservation is required to ride with no additional cost. But you can buy an individual lightning lane a la carte, yes.
Hey.. The Ariel at DCA is so creepy...
When are you guys going to Legoland again?
Sometime in the next few weeks. I don’t have a date nailed down yet, but soonish.
Traver Amy Benjamin and James.
What case would you make to someone that only makes it to Disneyland once a year or once every couple years to make the journey out to Walt Disney World? Disneyland is about a 10 hour drive for us but we do it, for Orlando we'd obviously have to fly but Disneyworld seems to have much longer lines and many of the same things. Is it worth it if you don't get to go much and Disneyland is already really special? I've even heard several people say they like Disneyland better.
Disneyland is far more quaint. Smaller. Less planning. And just has a cozier sort of feel. Walt Disney World is a whole adventure. The planning is intense (but I love it. I’m a planner). The property is huge and immersive. With Genie+ lines aren’t really an issue.
I will always recommend WDW at least once. It’s a totally different experience.
But we definitely love the food more at Disneyland and just how easy it is to walk between parks. Going anywhere at WDW is a chore and takes nearly an hour.
But it’s just got a different feel to Disneyland and both are great.
