Jerry Quarry was my favorite boxer in my youth. He possessed many fine skills as a boxer. Jerry Quarry was not one-dimensional. He could counter-punch beautifully, a true power puncher, displayed fine footwork, durable, and courageous. Unfortunately, he was an inconsistent performer. He always managed to resurrect his career but, ultimately, it was not to be.

He wasn’t a power puncher not even close. He had a solid power but no where near an elite power.
