What to do if the F8 error is displayed on the Miele Fashion Master? | Miele

In this video you will learn what to do if the F8 error is displayed on your Miele Fashion Master B1XXX / B2XXX.

If the Ready for steam control light flashes 8 times and the Empty water tank control light also lights up, this may have several causes. You can do the following:
Cause 1: The remaining water drawer is not recognised.
1) Switch off the machine.
2) Remove the remaining water drawer and clean and dry the metal contacts.
3) Switch on the machine.
4) Insert the remaining water drawer.
5) Wait 20 seconds.
6) Empty the remaining water drawer and insert it.
7) Wait 20 seconds.
Cause 2: The water filter needs cleaning.
1) Pull out the mains plug.
2) Remove the water tank.
3) Remove the screw on the cover.
4) There is a tool on the cover for removing the seal and the water filter. Remove the gasket and water filter.
5) Clean the water filter thoroughly under running water.
6) Re-insert in reverse order.
7) Connect the appliance and switch it on.

For a iron machine that costs nearly 2000€ and 2 years waranty its a shame. I already had 2 of these crap machines, NEVER AGAIN.

@@mielecustomerservice Really, then tell me why the fashionmasters breaks down after 2,5 years, right after the waranty expires. The first one was the boiler, now the second one the iron self heat up till you can't hold it anymore. You know about these problems. That machine should have an 8 year waranty considering the price.
