Two things regarding the prize showcases before each Big Board round. 1: "Gosh, Patrick, look at these photographic depictions of a higher standard of living." SpongeBob, you are one smart cookie. 2: A lot of merchandise-based game shows certainly could use a bit of the ol' Sale of the Century treatment in their prize presentations, couldn't they?
I would love to see this show brought back to TV here in Australia. Forgot shows like The Voice, The Block, My Kitchen Rules etc, this would put them to shame.
I was kinda surprised that Anna didn't take the extra spin at the end before she passed to Mario, that woulda been a good strategy, although it didn't matter since he whammied before that 3rd spin woulda came up anyway. Coulda cost her though.
More episodes of this show please, this is amazing, you would love to win cash and prizes but you would be feeling pretty unhappy if you got the whammy and lost everything.
If my memory serves me correctly, there was one episode where two contestants ended up with four whammies and a new game was played. Can’t remember when that was.
Did this board also run on slide projectors as the original U.S. board, or by this time were they starting to use computers? If slide projectors, how’d they get the slides to change faster than the U.S. version?
Ian's joke in the second question round about nuts and bolts inadvertently resulted in him giving away the answer (I don't know if anybody caught it). Mario still got the question wrong!
2:53 anyone thinking that the Whammy sticking out the tongue should've been used from 1984-1986? And what if "Press Your Luck" in North America continued to do a new season for 1986-1987?
I absolutely loved this show when I was a kid...
This was a great episode! Thank you. I was a kid when this was on Tele... sometime soon he starts reading viewers mail and such :)
When I was a kid I used to love seeing as many whammies as possible. Only occasionally was there a contestant that I would actually want to win.
Gotta love Mario's enthusiasm!

Wow another one!!

This was an exciting episode

They gotta bring this back to Australia! D:
Wow! 😳
I hope 🤞I will be on the Price Is Right.
That is the best video ever.
I haven't been on Press Your Luck for AGGGGS
Press Your Luck Was So Cool
Cant wait for Australian press your luck episode 3
Michael Larsen would have no chance at all in this version of the game. 🤗🤗🤗
Yep you got that right
He would have to land on the $4,000 and a Spin EVERY TIME in the 2nd Round!
Correct
Hiiiiiiiii:D
Idk about that

Thanks for posting this gem! Another Aussie PYL ep; and they said it was episode 186; I wonder how many episodes it had?
Discount Press Your Luck! Oh boy! 👊😊👊
I like the uncommon values like $65, $410, and $395.
mnapier74 and $490
Then again we had 525 and 470.
They used the board sound effects and whammy animations taken from the US version.
For some reason they removed the voices of some whammies
Anna strategy pays off
I’ve never cheered so loud for a 35yo game show contestant hahaha
21:06 they have a prize for winning 5 nights
Would love to know how this turned up!
I’d love to see the episode I was on!,,
Really? How'd you do?
Greg Palmer I didn’t win but it was good fun!
Yeah, a Gameshow is always fun to play! I hope I could be on a KIDS version of this show! (BTW I’m 11)
0:05 Why is $4,000 the top prize instead of $5,000? Low budget?
Sums up most of Australia's game shows (save for "Millionaire Hot Seat" and "Sale of the Century").
That's not a lot cheaper.
If my memory serves me correctly, there was one episode where two contestants ended up with four whammies and a new game was played. Can’t remember when that was.
do you have more Australian version of Press your luck
Omg how?!
I noticed the light patterns on this board is COMPLETELY random than the American Version
19:44, Mario Was About to Win the Game!!
kurokawa kokujin akihito!
0:22- "star of the" what?
Ah, "the star of Press Your Luck."
Did this board also run on slide projectors as the original U.S. board, or by this time were they starting to use computers? If slide projectors, how’d they get the slides to change faster than the U.S. version?
Love the usa version
The USA version was hosted by Peter Tomarken.
Stephanie Rushing yes I know
This inspired Australia to have their own version
You mean you prefer the American version to this Australian version?
19:44 STOP AT A WHAMMY!!
Ian's joke in the second question round about nuts and bolts inadvertently resulted in him giving away the answer (I don't know if anybody caught it). Mario still got the question wrong!
I don’t get it how come they didn’t reboot this exact same game show with the new graphics from the US
Whammies:
1. Champagne Whammy
2. Dog Walking Whammy
3. UFO Whammy
4. Photographer Whammy
5. Jackhammer Whammy
6. Skiing Whammy
Should they use them all in the 2019 version
we saw
19:44 Mario is out!
Oops, heard the whammy speaking.
In case you didn't noticed that there's a german version of press your luck
I think there were two different versions in Germany.
It Was Two German Versions Of Press Your Luck
Yeah, the one I remember is Glück Am Drücker
Watch out for that....... Snowman; That'll smart for the Whammy
$30 + a spin
I'm amazed how cheap it is.... also the UK version was awful. It was all points and the prize was a rubbish £200. All Footage of it has been wiped.
That viewer who requested no more Whammy poems probably doesn't know good art if it bit 'em you know where...
wow, the whammies are speaking in American accent!
It's based on the American show
@@adrianrickards27 I wouldn't doubt they're using the same tapes/resources for that than re-creating/re-animating them for their version.
No, their all the same, they just removed the voices of some.
I think gameshows like Sale of the Century, Family Feud and Wheel of Fortune is to blame for PYL's short life.
Family Feud, Sale of the Century and Press Your Luck are trademarks of FremantleMedia.
No, it was because of the low money they were giving away I believe.
I don't remember this lasting long, was on late afternoon
Mario sounds like a child
The whammies don't have an Austrailian accent. :P
Elizabeth Banks wil be useful. so do Peter Tomarken
Any pyl Australia version episodes????????🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
2:53 anyone thinking that the Whammy sticking out the tongue should've been used from 1984-1986? And what if "Press Your Luck" in North America continued to do a new season for 1986-1987?
It was used in 2002 for Whammy!
