- The City of Saskatoon is very pleased to officially launch the Community Visioning project Saskatoon Speaks. It is time to start thinking about what Saskatoon will look like in 50 years, and share your thoughts about how you want to shape the future of our city.
Saskatoon Speaks wants to find out what residents value and want to preserve in our city, and what they want to improve and strive for as Saskatoon continues to grow. Conversations throughout the city will gather information about what the whole community wants for the future. These conversations will take place at city summits, through roundtable discussions, and online with the use of social media tools such as Twitter, Flickr, RUclips and Facebook. These conversations will help shape a vision for Saskatoon's future and develop into more focused discussions as the visioning process develops and the core issues are revealed.

Saskatoon has the potential to be a great city, however just like Calgary its growing out and wide instead of up. This makes it hard to get around without a car and the city sidewalks are non existent in some places.
I would love to see the people of this great city embrace responsible living and set an example for the rest of Canada.
I would love to see Saskatoon embrace the sustainable attitude and implement better urban planing and build bike-paths and more sidewalks.
I love the spirit the binds them together, spirit of love , hospitality, accepting chanllenges, divicing means and puting them into different stratgies for a positive result. with one spirit, ur outcome will be quite unimmaginable.

I was reading comments from about 8 years ago, Some people were complaining about the skyline but it's a good thing to preserve the skyline, The reason why is because we don't have to develop as far out of the city, Making the city greener, If you wanna see the sky go to Meewasin or AWAY from Downtown.

Honestly, people say saskatoon sucks, but it is actually great. I love living here, even if it doesn't have a ton of stuff to do
@bic2k Saskatoon has a beautiful sky all year round and it would be a shame to block that by giant sky scrapers. However, there must be a middle ground. A balance between increasing the living density in the city and maintain the beautiful view of the clear skies.

If you play any sports try to find some people that already get together and play it as a drop off thing. If you're coming from some a foreign country, search for any cultural communities about the country, like the ICCA. It's a good starting point to meet people.

No mention of the hood and the fact that Saskatoon has the second largest crime rate ( Regina being first) in all Canada. I prefer to stay in Quebec City I feel safe here.

I realize your comment is two year old but your Penguin Village idea? C'mon, where the hell would people park? That little parking lot they have along Spadina is too small as it is. Then add on parking for a water park. Not there, it's jut too small. They should convert Blackstrap into a water park, similar to the one that was in North Battleford. Then again, that probably would fail too. Not enough warm weather too make it feasible.
