    • @ilpochino
      @ilpochino 13 дней назад +6

      I don’t think I remember a time when they were ever really affordable. Even as far back as the first fold, I saw them more as a status symbol than something better in functionality. I had the fold three, because it was the first one that I remember that was water resistant. But two years after getting that I ended up going back to the S 23 ultra. I don’t think I’ll ever go back to a foldable again.

      There are a ton of foldable cheaper than normal phones. Price had nothing to do with it. They are built like crap and very fragile for the most part. Way too many issues with screens and battery for what they are. Most people don't have a desk job and wear slacks all day. Work outside or in labor or construction and you want nothing to do with these. Not to mention nobody is gonna buy a fragile phone for their kids. Right there you're missing out on huge sales. People pay $1200 all day long for S24 and pro max. There are a ton of foldable under 1200 now. They still don't sale well.

    S25 Slim was the dumbest investment by Samsung EVER ... There was no need for it and they should have focused on giving the best features and hardware to the upcoming S25 lineup (bigger battery, more efficient and better screen, S-Pen improvements and no downgrades, update at least more than one camera with vastly improved software to use the SD8 elite for better user experience, performance, and image + video processing, and lastly, vastly improved cooling for the phone.)

Honestly most people probably forgot about the A series phones as of recently and now they're making a slim phone that's possibly the size of the S24 plus but with a battery of 4,000 mAH. I dont mind too much about a super thin phone so long as it feels good in the hand and likely doesnt break or feels too heavy. It would be nice to have them adopt silicon batteries for light phones but also i am looking forward to the tech being used for flip phones and foldables.

  • @sammyt3514
    @sammyt3514 12 дней назад +2

    Can't think of any advantage to having a thinner phone, including aesthetically (camera modules, which need to remain large if the slim phones would use the larger sensors in the flagships, have to bulge out even further from a thinner phone, which would make them even more unsightly). And it would make their handling that much more fidgety and their batteries smaller, which NO ONE wants! Again, can't think of a reason why it would make sense for phone manufacturers (at least the top two) to suddenly be skinny pones.

    I care more about the battery life than how thin it is, loss of battery capacity to make it more thin and likely to bend and break seems like a retarded move to me. Loved my s6 edge but the battery lasting about 4 hours a day was a massive reason for ditching it after a year.

  • @_Tzebra_

    I don't fully understand the drive to make things as thin as possible. Would I like an iPhone Max with a 7" display that is 50% lighter than today's phone? Yes. But if that phone isn't made with reinforced alloys to prevent bending and what not, I'd rather the company focus on weight reduction in the current or slightly slimmer measurements than just steamroll ahead with making our phones like "feathers". Just my two cents. Also, Jaime and co., I'm really happy to see this channel growing quickly. Been a fan for years. Keep up the good work!

    Wait why do we care how thin the iPhone is? Lmao no one cares its still 100 years behind i switched back to Samsung and Onenote phones 5 times. Each time i try iPhone it just sucks.....
    Oneplus 13 is far ahead of Samsung.... If oneplus has that higher main camera resolution it would have been top phone. You have no idea how great it is specially for gaming... It actually beat my Asus 9 pro i tested last week

    Apple hasn’t learned its lesson after “Bendgate” and current surveys that show people don’t care about thinner phones. They want more battery, innovative designs, and functionality. As for me, I want “chonk”. I like the feel of a substantial phone in my hand. Thinner, lighter, has been tried before. Apple truly isn’t even trying anymore.

I had up to the S22U and then I charged up the iPhone 15 PM (until this day) and I’m looking forward to change to the S25U as soon as possible! The iOS limited my life so immensely, though I love the iPhone hardware and video capabilities, that I NEED to change as fast as possible.

I'll buy a phone for its bigger battery and better camera over anything that's advertised as thinner and lighter every time. Samsung is quickly gaining the reputation of company that completely ignores its customers and produces what IT wants. Their decreased market share is a self inflicted wound to their bottom line.

    Tiktok is like a pack of cigarettes. The government warns you, they tell you it is bad for a lot of reasons, and if you STILL want to continue smoking, then have at it. Just don't complain when the cancer rolls around. I don't think they should ban it. I think more research,education, and parenting is needed to control this.

    Yes, to thinner+ligher flagship, as I bring my phone in my jersey/shorts when cycling and running. Samsung's thin sounds better so far, I'd take 1mm thicker to still get a much better camera setup, top chip, etc. Sounds like Apple's Air phone will have too many compromises for me. Edit to add I'd be getting rid of my Honor Magic v3 foldable. Just don't use it open enough tbh.
