Ehrlichiosis supposedly can be transmitted in four to six hours in recent articles I have read. I live in the Ehrlichiosis capital of the US. Both dogs have the Ehrlichiosis antibody but have never gotten the disease.
my dog did have protein in her urine and was treated for a month and also now on Enalapril. vet says dog will be on meds the rest of her life. First tick ever, latch ed on, but not blown up. I live I'm Massachusetts. no symtoms, but found with yearly vet check blood work. Is it true that once protein in urine there is kidney illness for life?
Great video! I agree 100% and the new vaccine actually sounds interesting. The dilemma I am faced with, living in NJ, is that if I don't want to walk my dog in the woods I have to walk him on pesticide sprayed parks because they spray everywhere... it is from one evil to the next and I don't know what to do anymore
There are a ton of different ones that work. Look for something he doesn't mind. A single drop of rose geranium between the shoulder blades can be very effective.
Both my dogs, age 13 and 14 have been positive for the Ehrlichiosis antibody for probably 10 years. They have never shown any signs of illness and none of the other clinical signs they look for are there.
@@donnaallgaier-lamberti3933 Yes, i will take a tick over "preventatives" any day. The "preventatives" do not prevent tick bites anyway so they are just toxifying a dog for nothing.

Not necessarily and may not need medication for life. Monitor urine protein.

Can anyone tell me if Sustenance Bor-L-Immun is a safe lyme treatment .any side effects?. My pups C6 test numbers were 120. Thank you for looking

Personally I will choose a tick over chemical sprays. The odds are better.
