To look smart and presentable.
For three reasons;
1. )To ensure balanced distribution of fat ,thus enhancing faster growth in sheep
2.) For control of blow fly
3.) Faster gaining of weight as the end result.

The prices depend on the pedigree and age. But between 10k to 50k Kenya shillings.
