  • James always wanted to be a farmer and that is why his decision to relocate from San Francisco, California to Kenya was easy. Having worked at Wall Street for over 14 years, he knows what it meant to live the life of your dreams and today he farms over 150 South African Dorper Sheeps in Nyandarua in his Capri Farm

    I tried doing it but no proper market for a black south African farmer , we are not really considered as farmers unlike other African countries where whites are visitors not citizen .As Black South African we still have a long way of becoming farmers . Sometimes I feel like being in a rainbow country is like a curse . Our forefathers fought for the country's liberation but we are far from liberated. Yes we have 8 to 4 jobs but it is not enough we need land to farm and be considered as real farmers

    • @justafrica-zc2mz
      @justafrica-zc2mz 2 месяца назад +1

      As someone who have in South Africa for some years, I do understand your frustration on this,,, I guess one reason is that the white farmers are not willing to share info... I am yet to meet a white SA farmer sharing the info as you see in other African countries farmers ...
      There is also a believe that a farmer can be white... A mindset that I think should change .... Though there seems to be an improvement of late ..

      I agree with you 💯.
      There are rumours that the current government in Kenya would like to bring commercial farmers a model similar to South Africa. God that will be a disaster for the Kenyan common population. I like the Kenyan farming models which allow the common farmer to flourish.

    • @ichooseviolence2532
      @ichooseviolence2532 2 месяца назад

      Why don't you work with other African farmers like from Kenya. You can still do farming and export it to other Africans. You don't have to do business with the White SA

    • @ichooseviolence2532
      @ichooseviolence2532 2 месяца назад

      @@faithkimathi4068you're forgetting that it's still Kenyan's who will benefit and not other people from other countries

    • @hlamalanibaloyi6331
      @hlamalanibaloyi6331 Месяц назад

      @@ichooseviolence2532 Point 1 no enough land for blacks, 2 most of our forefathers were removed from fertile land, 3 a lot of Agricultural forums are run by whites so they wont make it easy for young farmers. What im trying to highlight here is I can see African countries are flourishing through Agriculture but in SA is not that possible. I have tried and still trying one day we will conquer as a black community of south Africa.
