Peter David did write a sequel story to this, but Marvel basically shut him down. It did and up seeing print as a novel, entitled "What Savage Beast". It is a great story, and allows David to push more mature concepts across than what the comics of the time would allow. I was lucky enough to get it around 1995, and I have never seen it reprinted or produced digitally, which is a shame.
The Merged Hulk is very different from the Professor Hulk. The Professor Hulk is a retcon of the Merged Hulk that was created by Paul Jenkins several years after Peter David's run had ended. Calling the Merged Hulk "the Professor" is a mistake since the Merged Hulk was exactly that, a merger of the three main personas. The Professor, in contrast, was a fourth personality that represented Banner's "ideal self." Peter David's version is the Merged Hulk, not the Professor.
This is such a good video dude. I've been getting into Hulk a lot this last year, Immortal Hulk has gotten me more into the character than ever before. Can't believe I've slept on all these stories and this great well of lore for so long. Anytime you cover Hulk it's an instant must watch!
If there ever was a chance to do a solo hulk movie I think this would be a awesome storyline for them to adapt into a movie since professor hulk is a thing in the MCU

Now I want to get a compilation of this story. I had a Marvel Legends figure of Maestro Hulk and (vaguely) know of his character.. Would you be willing to cover Hulk: Gray or Tim Sale's entire "color" series in general in the future? Hulk: Gray still makes me cry whenever I read it. Something that very much hits hard. I can really relate with that one scene with Hulk accidentally killing a rabbit. I've destroyed so much in my life unintentionally.
Definitely one of my favs as well. I loved staring at those museum pages. The ending is one of the few times I cheered out loud while reading a comic. Fantastic. Loved it.

I've still got it along with most of the Peter David Hulk issues, none of which are anywhere near 9.8s, because I've read them so many times. 😁 Great video mate, I think I'll stick around. 👍

Future imperfect was good but building with Hulk's character,let him evolve,and ended beautifully with heart of the monster until the next guy ruined him again
