I will remember Jorge for as long as I live. I was at their show in Hollywood and tried to buy a Casualties glass. The merch guy refused to sell it to me for fear that I would break it. Jorge happened to be standing right next to me and told the guy to give me the glass (no charge) thanks to Jorge. Thank you Jorge and may you live a happy life!
dude that’s fucking amazing
I'm very Emo. But I love moshing to The Casualties.
@Jared Genesis I agree. I was or maybe still a little Emo... But even then when I was 15 year old Emo teenager... Cutting myself.,. Not to make stereotype, labels or anything.... I just wanna hardcore dance, mosh, relate to the lyrics, smoke weed, drink alcohol, smoke, sex, LGBT (cuz I'm Bisexual/Pansexual)... Peace and express yourself.... Cheers 🥂 🍷🍇 🌿 🕊️✌️

Jorge is the one of the greatest punk vocalists of all time.

These guys knew my son and his girlfriend back in the late 1990s. They were on tour in a Southern Ca for a week. My son invited them to stay at my home for the week. They were the nicest and respectable guys. Were made them dinner one night and they were so happy for a home cooked meal.
chill punk parents let's gooo!! 🤘🤘
I'm an old school punk from the 1st wave of LA hardcore Punk, and I think this guy is cool. Very well spoken and smart. Cheers to him!
+Cal native what was the first wave of L.A. punk? I wanna know.

@Nitty Gritty 👍😄
I still remember the riot at one of there shows in Hollywood. No wonder the cobalt and the venues either shut down or don’t throw punx shows no more. Los Angeles still is thriving with shows though thankfully in 2020
Mike Carter what the fuck are you talking about
Met the casualties at the warped tour in the early 2000's. I can't remember the band they were listening to at the time, but instead of being on the side of the stage like other bands these guys were in the audience like normal people. Down to earth and humble guys. Respect.
Holy shit, this is so fucking rare. Never see interviews with Jorge
I loved the interview. Mr. Herrera, Jorge. The Casualties.
-J.T
Do you know what he is up to now a days?!?!... I miss this dude 😢
Been friends with Jorge and Jake since 1993. Stand up guys. Glad you guys are still going.
please comeback jorge 😞😔
Very humble person Jorge of The Casualties. I've been a fan of the band since i was 13 and now i'm 27 & still love this band. Real working class punk band. Hardwork for ur family & love ones, passion for what u stands for & love for the music of punk rock & oi! will makes u one of the most respected punk band all over the world. Real punks & skinheads never die.
Cheers from the Philippines!
Been a fan since I played true crime: NYC and heard my first taste of punk but I didn't know what punk was at the time I was very little, and I'm glad I found out about them when I was 10ish listening to some metal bands and oddly enough I heard criminal class and fell in love with the band, I'm glad Jorge isn't a dickhead like a lot of people though, very humble I love it

First time I saw The Casualties live was in a small club, cramped and sweaty, and so close I and others shared the mic with Jorge. It was amazing and really pushed me into the scene more than i was already.
I saw one of Jorge's last sets in The Casualties. They were in Edmonton and all the venues blacklisted them. Then they came and played in a punk house basement. It was a wicked show.
This is really really rare for George to do a interview
I know right, it's always Jake & Rick
I've seen one where he was reflecting on the old NYC punk scene but yeah he didn't do many! The new singer does more
Exactly, because when you have as many allegations of sexual assault as this, you probably do not want to be on camera as much.
@@miguelquazar883 bullshit! Seen it in black and white have you?
@@davycochrane7943 Is that the color y'all were filmed when the passions were taking place? Nothing wrong with that. We all prefer what we like.
Smart guy
Most punks are. In order to articulate a great message you have to be intelligent and well versed in what you're preaching. The lead singer of Black Flag is a SCARY smart individual. My picture may not seem like it (my head is shaved now), but I consider myself punk, and I don't open my mouth unless I know what I'm talking about.
This is a smart man, saw them live for the first time at Soma in San Diego in 2003 great show
I always loved Jorge because he sounds amazing and we both have bad teeth. Instead of seeing everyone with these nice teeth I can see someone who also has bad teeth. I know it a werid reason o be a big fan but when most people idolize good teeth you kinda feel happy too see someone with teeth kinda like yours.
I will never forget, after the set from this year i helped Jorge find his way back to his band tent. In his defense it was late in the day and 110 heatwise. He was five feet from exiting the stadium in Dallas.... They put on a hell of a show even though I had seen them 4 times before. I was only 12 when they played OKC with The Unseen, Smoke or Fire, Anti-Flag and The Aka's. Much Props to the whole band for that Dallas show. Spot on.
I love unseen!!!
Dane Myers omg the show you saw when you were 12, I saw my first concert at 18 on that same tour but in NYC! What an unbelievable line up!
I did not expect the accent, for some reason. And his mouth looks like it's full of tic-tacs.
Great music though. And this interview sounded really sincere, and knowledgeable too; I respect that.
Jorge speaks from the heart, been a fan for a long time! Seen em play at the Aggie Theater in Fort Collins,CO. 2009ish!

such a cool dude
I remember the first time I saw The Casualties, Jorge could barely speak correct English, but he had said that he learned English from listening to punk and hardcore bands.
This was back in 2000 though, so at this time the Casualties were only playing in front of like 100-200 people and their most popular song Punk Rock Love was pretty new.
They all use to just hang around the venue, talking to people and watching the other bands.
They're all pretty rad and humble dudes, even though they had their massive spike in popularity around 06-08.
I can't believe that was 16 years ago...most kids who listen to them now were probably still babies or listening to Seasme Street sing alongs, bahaha.
+Eric Durant i listened to this band in the 90's.
+Eric Durant 2000? I used to drink with them at Mona's in 1993. They played at Gas station, CIH and abc no rio. By 96 or 97 I considered them pretty big. "play for two play for ten...." Blanks 77 was my fav band of that scene
I remember discovering them around that time I was just starting high school always getting in trouble for just being myself. They never wanted kids who were different or creative, I got in trouble with my school for not being what they wanted and this kind of music helped me cope with it.
+Hachikuji Mayoi cheers to that
Yeah same here man. Would drive to Corpus Christi so see them with my friends 👍
Great words. What an awesome dude.
jorge es una chimba!!

I love that first album. Saw them a grip at showcase theater back in the 90s.
He's Ecuadorean

I open for them two or 3×20 years ago. I’ve talked to these guys and hung out with them on occasion after a show Jorge even tried to sneak me into a show in Long Beach because I didn’t have a ticket. I wish she would go back to singing, I freaking loved this band been listening to them over 20 years. Nothing against the current singer.
Vuelve jorgeeee....la primera vez ke voy a veros y dejas el grupo kabrooonnn!!! Jijiji, saludos de españa
Jorge sure looks gooooood ♥. i love the casualties. Long live punk :D
Bad ass interview, love how he said you grow up and leave your home
From the streets that says it all the few Jorge is a legend
Phenomenal interview.
a lot of people call The Casualties posers and fashion punks. but by what Jorge said in this interview sounds sincere and true. I think these guys are punk for sure so fuck all the other posers who call them posers or fashion punks because those same so called punks probably dress like punks to. so they need to lay off The Casualties.
These guys are straight up what punk is about! Even though Jorge left they started the casualties because they didn’t feel that punk was being portrayed the way it used to. These are true “street punx” and they are among my favorite bands
People throw the term "poser" around way too much nowadays. People just basically call a band posers if they don't like them.
They started out punk as fuck but now they've pushed the image so hard it's turned punk rock into a fuckin business! We even have elite aristocrats and yuppie scum both within, and even running shit in punk now! And the stupid magazines!!! Since when are full color magazines about hair and scene drama cool? When I got into punk in the 90's it was NOT cool to be in pictures, streetpunk was PURELY DIY, and having a brain and being political wasn't a crime! Only people who weren't punk before the internet fail to understand the damage this guy has done to our streetpunk way of life and our true culture! I'm fuckin pissed and embarrassed how streetpunk is represented now, seriously! There is NOTHING street, or punk about what's going on in this whole fucked up century! The internet and the system both have punk firmly by the balls ! ! ! Street Punx are from the streets! You have no idea what yer missin out on, and it really fuckin sucks that punk as I knew it, will never ever happen again! Largely thanks to this fuckers shitty, fucked up destructive influence and Punkcores totally fucked up, bullshit fashion-for-profit agenda!!! They split the fuckin scene and destroyed our movement!
Legend
So true what he said.
they were on the tour back in 2000. i remember since it was my first warped tour. they had Andrew W K come sing with them on stage.
U the shit Jorge! One of my first punk rock gigs attended was you guys in Virginia Beach 11 or 12 years ago u always have the best energy and put on a fucking killer show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
why is everyone so f**ing concerned about his accent?
Because its fucking awesome
Yo lo conoci en el 2005 en mexico cuando apenas se salvo media presentacion el segundo dia
The kids shiffing glue lost out.. they where the new world challenge!!! These kids lived from you and stood up against the political system. Most punks are political. they live in counties that are oppressed and you gave them a voice............You where a person who told us how to, showed us how to improve,, stand up. We live a working man life, I Jorge cry to see you leave the street people. Man it is more than money now. I wish you the very best in your new life.. Make a change...
I recently read that Jorge had a wife and kids. Which fucking surprised me.
damn! reall!!!!!!
Fuck Jorge you will be missed, I had the opportunity to saw the casualties a couple years ago and let it pass by, now I'm seeing them in a couple weeks and I just found out your not in the band no more, your my main role model I hope to meet you one day, and to hear that you're still active in the punk scene.
I liked this very much I hate there newest music I think they went the unseen way but can't help but like that guy
Respecty to Jorge. Wish you never left. Met him in many occasions drunk punkin' it, hes always been cool as fuck. I came up into the drinking is our way of life way of life, turned into a bad alcoholic drunk punk. Im feeling it these days. 3 months sober. But the kids that call them sellouts and shit theyre uneducated and the Casualties newer (with Jorge, not the krum bums singer) is amazing. Best show, sickest shot I was at was Casualties in the ghetto in Elizabeth New Jersey near where Im from. Huge real street punk/skinhead scene. I saw them probably around 10-15 times. Did vocals for unemployed had a blast at every one. People that call them fashion punks need to learn About roots and identity. Jorge and the casualties brought back street punk/oi! PUNK. The early years is the old favorite, Die Hards is my next favorite but there newer shit Im not too familiar with is also great, more insightful lyrics rather that just the Oi! get drunk, dont conform, FUCK ALL - which is great too. The new krum bums singer is good bu't the casualties should have started a different band without jorge. He was the band
Pretty cool. I used to have patches of these guys
Ecuador!.
❤️
i like how even though hes got a pretty strong hispanic accent he still manages to be very articulate
Jorge sin ti la banda no es la misma
I love this dude. And I fucking love his band!
He sounds like vaas from far cry 3
Gunnar Greene because they're both badasses
EVERYONE VOTE FOR THE CASUALTIES AT WARPED 2017 !!!!!!!!!!!
Casualties were one of the bands that kept me always seeking punk as a kid and wanting to look deeper into the scene. I'm 30 now and I saw them in 2004 I believe in Baton Rouge.
17 bringing the warped sound back or not let me hear ur thoughts
Hey Jorge come to Perú! We love you!
This is a good interview regardless of my feelings about em
Nice
Damn.. I feel old.
Met him once behind the Trobadour in Hollywood. Seemed like a cool dude. It was a sold out show and he said couldn't get us in. He had no control and guest list full so i finished my bottle of vodka in the parking lot and passed out. Great interview. At least he's honest about them being too popular and accepts the sellout status. Unfortunately sucks he's been accused of sexual harassment, haven't heard from him once since all the accusations.
He's right punk rock on man
Jorge KING KING KING KING KING KING
Good.
fuckin love it
I never knew he had such a thick accent or was so well spoken until now. I was big into the punk scene when I was in middle/high school some 20years ago now and without the internet like it is these days finding interviews and videos of your favorite bands was much more difficult. I always imagined him having a North American accent and sounding really mean/pissed off haha.
Same here 😂 it’s been about 20 years for me too, I knew he was Latino but never knew he had such an accent and was this humble in interviews.
Jorge and I shared a pizza outside of what was the Palace in Hollywood back in 2001.
fuck yeah
wow. somebody with a really nice hair style giving lessons on what being punk is about... interviewed in a during a festival set up by a multimillion shoes company that produces shoes in sweatshops across SE Asia.
Where is this guy now

You can buy the Casualties CDs at Walmart. I adore the first few albums before Die Hards. Even Die Hards was good. Yet this shit is a scene now. Politics? Rich kids act this way.
How the shit did you even manage to interview him lol?

Going to but a black denim vest but MORE patches and represent The Casualties with a back patch. I'll probably be putting up a mohawk. See me in warped tour Las Vegas 2016!
And I have a leather jacket with pins and I should find some Casualties pins to put them on my jacket!
Spencer Johnson cool.
I loved hearing this song as I played Tony Hawks Underground 2! I always wanted to start dressing street punk after I searched them up at the time. Parents said no, and I lived in a hick ass town. Now im 23, living in NYC (go figure, same as the band was) and I have a full closet of street punk clothing, vests shirts pants boots accessories
Reyndall Fajota lol i just bought a black vest but nowhere to find patches gonna buy a misfits patch and other patches mixing with punk+metal+rap(hope rap patches wont piss people off but at the same i dont give a fuck)
