I'm a 64-year-old white hetero (and married) male nurse working at a large urban hospital in the US Midwest and I am so happy to have discovered this podcast. You gals crack me up and also make me think about the really important issues in US society today, plus the fact that y'all are my kinda smart and smartass, progressive liberals makes it even better! And I know exactly how you feel about dogs, I love them more than most humans i know! Also agree with you about older women, I met my wife when we were both in our 50s and neither of us had been married previously or had children... I'm now in my mid 60s and my wife just turned 70 and I love her more every single day I'm alive! I'm totally hooked on your show now, peace and blessings for y'all in the New Year (we're gonna need it!) 🎉❤🐾 #BEBEST 😁
I can speak personally how badly separation and divorce effects dogs. How she would just sit and cry, be so depressed was heartbreaking! Love you ladies!!!
This show is hilarious😂 In a good way and so informative and factual. Right up my alley. I enjoyed the segment with Nyakio Grieco, listening to her experiences on race and diversity. Similar upbringing being raised to be proud but not separating yourself out. I totally get it. Some things definitely resonated with me. Women really supporting women is such a beautiful thing. Subscribed😊💙
That’s really interesting thank you for sharing !!! As an African American woman I found I was raised to be proud (in the 90s & early 2000s) but was either treated like I was separate or second class, or told that I was separate and/or second class. And sometimes I believed I was too. And that sadness could sometimes give way to anger. I appreciate you for sharing and I appreciate this podcast being a platform for so many other people to share too! ❤❤❤ women supporting women will always be the best 🤎 I agree with Jessica it would help take the pressure off
@@ambriaashley3383 Oh yes. Don't get me wrong. I had some of those experiences as well and from time to time even now, you can run into closed minded racist people but everyone isn't like that. I was taught to treat people with respect and give people a chance. But when someone shows you who they are, you cut that out of your life dealings because it's negative. It's low vibrational behavior and hateful. It doesn't help. I grew up in an extremely diverse home with two black, African american Ado's parents but they taught us that we weren't confined to other peoples boxes and definitions very early on. No one is better than you and vice versa. I had and have an eclectic group of people that I have known and continue to know as I tread along on this life's journey. But even with that being said and having that kind of mindset, my folks understood that we needed to know our history because it's apart of American history and apart of us. To know the truth, the many sacrifices made and all of the amazing, wonderful things about it and the not so wonderful things so it's identifiable when dealing within systems.Outside of that, you treat people with dignity, respect and you be fair to others because when you get down to the simpleness of it all, people are just people with different cultures and backgrounds and that's okay. Someone being of a different race, culture shouldn't be a barrier or a deterrent as to why you can't be cordial, be friends ,be kind, helpful, fair and open with others.etc I wouldn't want to live life any other way.😊Thanks for replying🤗🌌💓
I literally gasped out loud when Pumps said that woman had her dogs put down just to spite her ex. I'm not religious at all and I don’t believe in an afterlife but I genuinely hope that hell exists just so that woman goes there. What an awful thing to do!
My ex-wife put the dogs and cats in the prenup to keep the pack together. "1.4 Pets. Husband and Wife jointly own four (4) pets names, namely: Bowie, Arthur, Jackie and Fisher. It is the intention of the parties that in the event of a legal separation or divorce, that the Wife keep any and all pets the Husband and Wife may own at that time."
I feel the same about people backing into parking spots. If you can’t get it right after two tries, move on, park further out, and stop backing up traffic on both sides of the parking area around you!
I found you girls by accident and now I have enjoyed quite a few of your videos. I completely agree with you (being an old bugger) about family values. Everyone now seems to want everything at once. The only thing I worry about is you starting the show with "The Clap"... It made me laugh when I thought of what "The Clap" used to mean and probably still does. Just having a laugh though, I mean nothing serious. Hi from Australia.🤣😂🤣
lol I’m eager to see how you ladies do with grandchildren! Seriously I am just like y’all with my kids but……. My grandkids holy hell I’ll shove their pictures right in a strangers face lol😂😂😂😂
The joke about clapping yourself into your day may have changed my life. I've begun clapping myself into my life. Especially for things I don't want to do, like get out of bed. This works because now I have to do it, I've clapped myself in; and if I hear myself whine about it, I just yell at myself, "Action Damnit!" So. Yeah, thank you all for helping me be more productive.
I've had it with people who say" GOD GIVEN RIGHTS". First God didn't give any rights to anyone. When people say that I want to scream & say stop saying that. 😂❤
I love these ladies. Yep our society hates women over the age of 29 and Jen and Pumps laugh in the face of this all the time. And the story of this woman as the first woman of color at the sorority at OU is amazing. And she is so successful. Just amazing. Best podcast ever!
Traditional is a buzz word. What people consider a "traditional" marriage/family adopt or use surrogates. If you want children, you go about it in whatever manner and option you wish. You don't have to be married or have a partner. People need to butt out of everyone elses choices.
Dan Savage reports that he and his husband and their adopted kid live the "traditional family" lifestyle at home most nights, while his heterosexual brother leads the "really gay" lifestyle going to art openings, bars etc.. with whatever woman he is dating this week.
If there was someone behind me and I will be automatically panic and pressured so if I didn’t get it on the first try I will just go and find another spot 😂😂😂😂😂
Hi Women! I really appreciate what you're doing. In the podcast I mean. Don't know what you're up to otherwise and maybe we should leave it that way. Maybe I love you but maybe not. Anyway, you pick up things that are important to pick up and you ridicule them in a way they should be ridiculed! Thanks. Very much Thanks! I'm not going to write about dogs. Not about dogging, either. I'm a Swedish man and obviously extremely heterosexual. How do I know this? Well, I shared an apartment with a gay man for a year. We had lot's of fun, talked and joked around the clock and I learned a lot about women from him. Can honestly say that if one want to understand a woman (which is impossible...), ask a gay man! No! We didn't do THAT! It was never "on the table". Or elsewere... When life got us other opportunities he said this about me: "I have never met a more heterosexual...THING... than you, in my life". Thanks pal.. Well, we still love each other, as good friends and humans. Now... I'VE HAD IT with all those thousands of podcasters who - with no reason at all - feel a need to wear big earphones on their heads and a big, falloslike microphone close to their lips. I mean WHAT??? Are you afraid your cranium will fall apart if you dont have the earphones to hold it together? (That would be a plausible reason) And, do you all have a craving for something "cocklike" near or in your mouth? As I understand things, there are other products or/and creations, that can satisfy such needs. Understand this: Sound technology has developed since the 17th century. Nowadays we can watch even newsanchors from CNN speaking on TV without those ridicoulos craniumholders and wishdildos. I'VE HAD IT! But, maybe I love you, anyway... Keep it up! /Rutger
When I say TFV, traditional family values, it’s in reference to the way Benito Skinner and Mary Beth Barone meant it when they introduced it on their first episode of their podcast, Ride. Old Spice, TFV. Donating, TFV. Polo shirts, TFV. An uncle saying “did you pay extra for those holes in your jeans?”, TFV!

Oklahoma: I have a question about Oklahoma - is Blackwell, OK a racist town? I remember being brokedown there once as a teenager and seen a swastika nailed into a home like it was decoration 😅😅 a little background I am mixed (Black and White) and my single mother is white (blonde hair and blue eyes) she about shat her pants when I pointed it out to her.
King Solomon and the two mothers is how you should judge the dog owners. She hated her husband more than the dogs and he probably loved the dogs more than her.
It's supposed to be so the sound guy can synch the audio easier with multiple microphones. I don't think it's really necessary, they just do it for the bit.
I actually really like calling your wife mom. Mom is not a job descriptor, but you can definitely bastardize it to be one so I understand it can be seen as degrading. What that means in a loving family is really special, and it ties everything they do back to how they value you as a person and respects everything you do, even beyond mothering. It's one word that just encompasses the respect you have for them. I've heard people use it in passing, so I know it sounds kookoo weird like they don't love eachother intimately, but when you do hear it being used it's not so bad. Old fashioned, weird, could be insulting, but I think most of us wipe toilet paper between our ass which is all of those things to. Just depends on whether you're used to it.
I don't think it's weird to refer to your wife/husband as mom or dad when in presence of the kids, but alone, it's kinda weird. Also I think the formal "mother" changes the intention
That joke at the end is funny cuz I rly don’t find wiping my ass with 🧻 to be insulting, weird, or old fashioned at all. It is the most efficient action & makes the most sense for the situation 🤣 But all that to say I’ve heard people call their wives ‘mama’ or ‘mother’ and while it’s not exactly offensive to the ear it does make you stop & pause each time lol
Your unflagging enthusiasm for discussing the clap, and its merits or lack thereof, in deep detail is something else. Love you ladies.
I love listening to smart, intelligent women who for the most part dont take themselves seriously. Keep making me laugh!
You two are the best. There is nothing better than a good case of the clap in the morning. 😂😂😂😂

I both love and relate to Jennifer's discomfort about the sorority 😂
SUCH a good episode. nyakio is incredible, it was so fun to learn about her and hear the stories with pumps!!
You guys should do a segment where pumps is like Judge Judy and Jessica can be the bailiff
Two happy girls and I love it. I agree with you ladies 100%!
You gotta love Pump's opening clap. Attempted in all earnestness and optimism, despite the result. She never gives up!
