  • On today's episode of the Off the Clock Show with hosts Shawn Gervais from OrbisX and Marshall Hill from hyperClean we had a great discussion around why your story doesn't matter and how you can reframe your story using the word "how" to drive more sales, referrals and improve the story you are putting out there. We also discussed precision marketing and how you can boost your sales by getting more precise and getting over your fear of making the wrong marketing decision.
The Just the Tip segment on the Off the Clock Show which is brought to you by OrbisX CRM for detailers and hyperClean car care products to help you succeed in your detailing business

Amen to that! EVERY job in the world is ultimately a sales job. A nurse, a teacher, a husband - you are ALWAYS selling or being sold. Should be a skill taught in schools. Without sales skills you will always just be a consumer.

Completely agree "your story" is virtually worthless... I get lucky though, my story has a strong hook. Has your detailer been shot twice? It makes em read a little more 😅
Ultimately this page about me page should answer how i fix their problem. I'd bet you are about to say exactly that as I didn't want for you to finish hah.

Oh man that's a crazy hook! In that case the story is definitely an asset and much more attention grabbing then "i started because i have a passion for cars and clean surfaces... blah blah blah". Well done using that to your advantage and happy you survived that man that's nuts!

It's not expensive for those sponsorships either. Few hundred bucks.

I don't think any "casual" detailer will spend the 1k+ for just an ads manager.

Casual guys no for sure, but Google reps are surprisingly good at their recommendations and it's free included with Google Ads. We setup monthly calls with them to go over things it's pretty helpful we have found and also lots of studying on ads
