Thank you so much at a point was going to pay 💰 money for these lessons but now I get what I really need am watching practicals not notes they were giving me so thank soo much
The sparkling wine and champagne corn will not fit in bottle after opening … and also if guest taste and rejected we might loss a wine with that at last we will be shortage of 1 glass and the cost ❤
I have a question, should you serve clockwise starting with a lady and then then whoever is next to them? Or serve all ladies clockwise, then do another trip around the table serving the men?
It’s traditional to serve ladies first. If you’re in a more traditional and conservative venue, they may follow this rule. If in a more modern and liberal establishment, they may eschew this, opting to serve clockwise regardless of gender. The latter is much more common where I live, in San Francisco. It depends on how the sommelier or wine director of the restaurant directs their staff to provide the wine service.
It is. Sometimes I do it because I ask the guest what he wants. but I always says leave it open. Champagne and other sparking wines are usualy aged for a minimum of 4 years so letting the champagne open wil let the wine breath a bit. Insects wil not come in if your restaurant is tidy how it used to be. And otherwise because the bottle contains Carbon Dioxide because pf the sparkle and it does not attract bugs because it is to aggresive of a gas
I presume you’re being facetious, but to answer the question earnestly, Ladies, then Gender X, then Men, then the Host (who is genderless in the eyes of the Sommelier)
@@adamg.manning6088 And what if you don't know the gender of the persons at the table, or do not want to make presumptions? (it sounds theoretical, but it happens more often than you think these days)
@@aagg6124 I’m of the opinion that going by outward visual clues is enough to follow standard etiquette. It should be obvious to anyone that the service Staff aren’t trying to make assumptions, but can only go by what information they receive visually. If someone told me otherwise, I’d be happy to adapt my service style to suit.
Even it's only minutes long, but this is such a good education. So many information.
Thank you so much for your great contribution!
Thank you so much for informative information and keep updating us wisely about wine 🍷

Literally the first time I open a champagne bottle right! Thank you 😊
This Video is very Excellent. Thanks for Video.
I'm saving money for this course..... Now a bartender but something is missing and I NEED to do it.
I always wonder why is the approval necessary. I mean what happens to the bottle if it's rejected?
ive had a bottle rejected , it was just a red wine, put the cork back on and refrigerate

We just drink it in the back on break
The wine can have a mistake, thats why you try the wine. You dont have to bring an other bottle if the costumer dont like it. It was his/her choice.
Thank you so much for your good informative videos ❤️
as a sommelier you should sniff the cork before pouring a sample for the guests (for checking for faults).
Right!!!
Do you remove the bottle when it's empty or let it stay in the cooler?
Never upside down the bottle, leave the bottle in the icebucket, when the sommelier come, u can ask for another or say him u are ok.
putting the bottle upside down is actually considered as very unpolite and against rules of etiquette

thank you so much this is very helpful
Is it ok to cover the Cork with wine cloth while opening instead of using bare hand.
IMHO, yes, totally fine. As a woman with small handsI find it helps with gripping the cage and cork.

all damsels first then gents
@@HAHtriumph 😂
I've got the same doubt

I have same doubt, however I prefer to serve all ladies clockwise them do another trip then the end is the host
Right way of giving service is clockwise or anticlockwise direction ?
Clockwise in the US.
I don't been able to serve whine holding the bottle single handedly ao what to do at this point?
holy shit this worked thank you so much
Menuda introducción del servicio.
Excellent
What if after testing host cancelled the wine?
professional like 👍 5 stars ⭐️
why not twist the cork?
We should Use Champaign Stopper after Open the bottle
Do we give champagne too for testing ?
If guest are taking bottle of champagne
yes. All wines are offered to taste for faults and general approval.
Is it okay not to turn back the bottle cover? What if insects or dust enters it

Place a towel/serviette over the top of the bottle whenever you place it in the ice bucket.
thank you😍😍😍
Love...📍📌
Thank you so much
Thank you
Thank you so much for helping for development our knowledge
So nice
Did the server just served the food at the right side of the guest? hmmm🤔
Thankyou❤
Excelente serviço
Not too sure about keeping the cage on, when going to opening the cork, you need as much grip as you can when opening the bottle??
So no shaking then. Noted.
Thank somuch
if there are people with gender X at the table, in what order do you serve the table?

Wow beautiful.

You want to go on a good date and have a great dinner and also a good bottle of champagne 🍾 ?
nice serving
Great
Never wipe down the bottle! Min 2:52 Italian or french sommelier don't do that! but ok these are wset rules..
Why not?
I mean wow reminds me of my 5 th class English teacher
The Server should hold the cage/cork with service linen not a bare hand! safer, better grip, more elegant and can catch froth if it comes out
Service of white wine
Good service. But he pours too much. A little less.
The Best is... FERRARI !!!!!!!!!!! *****
Takes too long. I’d would be halfway through that bottle if I opened it
😊🥲😂😏❤🧱🌁
