My favorite Live album of all time, hands down. A live album should make you feel like you're there. This one does that in spades. If you've never been to a Clutch show and you wanna know what it's like, turn this up loud and you're there. Epic.
Hey Weathermaker! Lets get this pressed on vinyl!
And re-realeasd on cd 🤘🤘
I believe there are certain times in your life that are significant, about 10-12 years ago a young guy (drummer) introduced me to Clutch, he knew my taste in music... WOW! This album blew my fucking mind every which way. I'll never forget him.
That's an awesome story!
This is why Clutch is the best rock band of all time. Does anyone in the world know or care where Flint, Michigan is? Probably not. Clutch does. And they appreciate everyone there.
jiveheaded Yup it's about an hour away from Detroit. The venue is called the Machine Shop and it's Badass. Was just there a couple of weeks ago. A great place to see Clutch or any other band. You might get shot outside but it's well worth it.
+jiveheaded You hit the nail on the head. This is one band that respects their fans wherever they go and it's so cool that they recorded this live album in a town that isn't "fashionable" per se. Clutch is their own style and their own fashion. Here's to you, Flint!
jiveheaded ... have you read the inside of the CD release of this show? clutch recorded this event for a reason my brother. I was there both nights and I can tell you it was by far the best concert event ever. words can't explain it dude
After the water crisis, they probably do now
So glad a musician I work with introduced me to this album.
I was there!!!! And have the cds
This shit f..... rocks!!!!!!!!
Being from Flint myself, I gotta say, every time they play the machine shop is fucking EPIC!
I have always been a sucker for the awesome fucking rock that happens between the first notes of Oregon and the last notes of Big News II. I mean don't get me wrong, the whole set is absolutely fucking phenomenal, but there's just something special that happens in those 31 minutes. Something special that no other band can achieve.
In a season of boll-weevils screamin' evil in your ear
And a pile of manure fertilizing all your fears
We yabba-dabba-doo, all the way to Shangri-La
Here it is with the Rock N Roll Outlaw!
I find myself listening to that segment over and over again as well.
The Tight like That > Big News I & II sequence is out of this world.
My favorite too, 'cept I start with Rock and Roll Outlaw. Tight Like That is easily my favorite song from the album though
This is Clutch’s best live album set. Period. The sound board mix on this is perfect. They’ve never been able to duplicate this clarity and fullness on any subsequent live album and I’m not sure why. This is the top of the Clutch mountain as far as I’m concerned. Great memories with these two albums.
I think they brought out all the bells and whistles sound-wise because this was supposed to be a live DVD (could you imagine how great), but for whatever reason they couldn't get the video working. Knowing how pro rock Clutch are, they probably made darn sure the mixing for this was flawless because they got boned out of a concert DVD.
Oh, and I 100% agree with your comment \m/
@@masterphillips IIRC they couldn't get the DVD working because they paid folk in beer tokens BEFORE they'd filmed lmao. Shame because this is my favourite live album of all time
Best version of 'tight like that'. Such a great live album and so many great tracks. If only they announced a few special shows with this set list now. I'm not sure how far I would travel to attend, but it would be a very long way...
If I remember correctly, you could only buy this CD at their live shows back then.
I own one. The liner notes are classic!!!!!
I got it off their website, but I'm pretty sure it was a flash sale type deal. Normally, yes, I think they only sell/sold it at shows. I'm glad I uploaded this to YT back in the day; I lost one of the CDs in a move years ago.
proud to say I was there both nights for this recording at the machineshop in Flint Michigan! Friday and Saturday night we're an unforgettable experience that never will be forgotten ..... damn
You are one lucky sob !
Wow!!!Just found this, I was at this show with my friends and we talked with Clutch before the show and asked them to play Tight Like That. These guys Rock!!!
Yee haw I'm a rock n roll outlaw !!!!
It is indeed at The Machine Shop (Neil thanks them at the end of CD 2)
2024 Still Holds Up®️}:>
The guitar sound perfect.
Thanks a lot for sharing this album
Would love to see this re-pressed. Impossible to get hold of, unless you’re prepared to pay a thousand dollars.
The only Clutch album I don’t have.
Finally got one!

You are welcome! Make sure to check out the CD 2 link!
An essential live album by the most death defying rock monolith in the world.
I bought this at a Clutch show at the 9:30 club in DC….its hard to track down now for some reason ? 🤷🏼♂️Awesome live CD 🖤🤤I dig this version of “Oregon” more than the studio version & “Profits of Doom”? 😳Fuhget about it 🤘🏻this really showcases just how much of a monster JP is on the drums 🤯🤤

Hard to find on CD... But well worth the price.
I personally consider "Slow Hole" the second part of the Blast Tyrant sessions...
Thank you, ive listened to this about 100 times and never hit the like button or commented...sorry.
So, funny story. Bought this album, made personal cd copies for storage. I have those somewhere but lost at the moment. Sadly, I lost the original disc 1 a long time ago.
Point being, I use this video now to listen to it too! No need to apologize. Glad you enjoy it, that's why it's there.
Since this album came out, I've seen them at the Machine Shop three times now, each show has been great.
Just checkin in 6/8/24....this shit FUCKIN ROCKS!!!
Jean Paul for da win...😎
This is awesome man, thanks for uploading. Where was this recorded, The Machine Shop? The Capitol Theater is closed now, but don't know if it was open when this came out.

Didn't the keyboard player on this pass away. 😕
num 5 oregon is the best song on there , fight me
lol thats why i came here today.......they have some great live versions of this song, this is a close 2nd
Seen clutch at this venue at least 10 times...including during this recording...gets better every time. JP is a badass...i pay to see these guys play every chance I get. They have been at it since the mid-90's with no lineup changes...different cities and states every year. They clearly do it because they love to play and love music which is how it should be.
