- Hello & welcome to my video of the IPMS UK Scale Model Worlds Show 2023. Held at The International Centre in Telford in Shropshire, this is the annual show for scale modellers, with model groups, SIG’s, stockists, participants & visitors from the UK and further afield this show is not to be missed…
Terrific models on display to inspire - Enjoy!
Nice showcase. There were so many great models and dioramas on display. It shows how big the show is - I don't remember seeing a lot of the models in your video, even though I was there the whole day and took hundreds of photos!
Yeah I thought the same, so many photos people have shared on social media & I think ‘I never saw that, why didn’t I photograph that…!!?🫠
But obviously there were so many great models on display both on the group tables & in the competition it was impossible to see them all… 😩
Seen several pictures of a couple of your dio's across social media, well done
Thank you so much Neil, yeah it was definitely worth the effort of bringing a couple of them over across the channel to the show, even all with the ferry delays & cancellations…😩 The competition was so high this year, just nice to have them on display - thanks for the comment👍

Got my Grasshoppers Helicopters in at 0:19 - thanks! We won The Airfix Award for best display and the IPMS Best SIG Display.
Hi, the helicopters were amazing! They were the first thing I saw when coming in, hence the first image. The moving parts & background display looked incredible..👏😯 Aircraft aren’t really my thing usually, but I appreciated the skill levels & visual impact of the whole display. Congrats on winning the awards - well done👌
Great video mate, sorry I haven't commented on the last couple vids. Been busy with life, but hey glad you got to take some of your dioramas to the show. Did any of them win? Anyways great vid as usual, hope all is well on your end!
Hi mate, good to hear from you. Yeah it was quite a show, amazing work on display across the 3 halls🤩 Didn’t pick anything up from the competition this year, but enjoyed taking a couple of the dio’s over to the mainland. A bit intense the last few weeks finishing ‘Capitulation’ on time for it, but happy I did😊 Final video for that coming up soon👍

I'll bet that has lead to a wealth of ideas. Though you do have a special position. The place and the evidence to model WW2 German in an English setting. The thought comes mind of Jersey Airport, with Luftwaffe aircraft. Though a photo I remember exists of a JMT bus, I think an old lion or cub, outside what was the Sable D'Or, on the five mile road, parked bettween the pub and a swastika flower bed.
Hey buddy, yeah you’re absolutely right, terrific place to live here & be inspired & create models around🇯🇪 I’ve built 2 dioramas already based on local locations here in Jersey, & have had 1 or 2 more ideas based on the occupation. There’s so many wartime photos to use for ideas, particularly like the Char B tanks (I think) motoring around Bel Royal corner.
But as always these things have to join the queue with all those other future thoughts & ideas🤔💡The show itself helped plenty with that too😁👍
@@Barbarossamodels Ca Va Mon V. The tanks are Great War Renault FT17. The turrets ended up on the top of a number of Bunkers. Seems like at least one Char B ended up in the Island's though.

What an amazing display of magnificent models and dioramas! Telford is huge.....it makes our show down here in Tassie look like a party for one 😜It's so great seeing what is possible to achieve with some plastic, paints and a lot of skill and dedication.
100%! Where I live we unfortunately don’t have any clubs or shows, so Telford is my ‘go-to’ in terms of meeting fellow modellers & finding items to top up the stash & materials. Takes an overnight ferry & 190 mile drive to get there, but is so worth the effort😊👌
