Great driving as always Danny, that MR2 looks like it woukd take a fair bit of learning and could catch you out id think. Looked to me like you had to get by those cars asap on whatever side you could, hanging behind them at that slow speed and unprediticability wouldve been even worse. Enjoy your driving👍
It's a mid engine short wheelbase car. It'll be twitchy. That's how I've always thought. Tried a few setups now. When you're learning to drive something fast it'll look hairy so makes a nice vid I guess. Was the same for the Integra and E46
People crying about the overtaking on the right put yourself in his position, Tiguan moves from the right to the left under breaking, lucky he didn't cause an accident there...
First is under braking, and you get the fuck out the way if you are two abreast so that situation is ok, second can't really be excused, it was safe ahead as they were clearly slow but the rental behind the slow one was waiting as you should until it was safe, he even cut to the headlights flashing either at the slow car or in anger at someone passing on the right, thing is if it wasn't him it would have been someone else approaching at light speed over that crest.
If you're going to drive the tourist laps I'd anticipate shit like that a little better. Just my 2 cents so tell me to piss off all you want but if you want to go that pace and be around safe, fast drivers then go around on a track day?

honestly, I care a lot about safety but everyone he had to overtake (undertake) on the right had it coming. they were confused as hell. 1:20 - guy is completely unaware of anyone else on the road, remember there are cars on the track which are way faster than an MR2, you can't expect them to slowly drive behind you for several corners just because you can't pay attention 1:55 - guy is paying even less attention, the car behind has to flash the high beams and he still doesn't move out of the way, you can't expect the fast drivers to go 50kph behind you until you stop jerking off and pay attention in a section where you normally go 150kph+, this one is endangering everyone else on the track with his stupidity 2:50 - guy is moving left and then braking hard, he left the left lane open and then changes his mind and suddenly moves over before braking, that's a clear case of dangerous driving All of these guys were driving in a dangerous manner, completely lacking awareness of their sourroundings. In case of a crash the MR2 would be held responsible, but that's just because our laws don't make much sense. None of these drivers were driving responsible, that's the only reason why he had to overtake on the right. It's actually illegal to block the "overtaking" (left) lane, moving over without indicating when someone is quickly approaching you isn't just not allowed, it's outright dangerous and incredibly irresponsible. Remember that in our country we are allowed to go 300kph on the autobahn, imagine one of these idiots moving into the fast lane without checking their mirrors while going 80kph when someone is approaching them going 250kph+, which is not unusual here, they would get someone killed. It's bad manners to overtake on the right, however the lack of awareness these 3 guys showed was a lot more than bad manners, these moves were more than irresponsible, 2 of them were completely insane and the other one (Bmw) was pretty horrible but at least understandable.
TL;DR -> overtaking on the right is illegal, however switching lanes without indicating or looking in your mirrors is more than illegal it's dangerous and completely irresponsible.
@@DildosForChristmas i know its a Mr2. Its an MR S. I referred to the Teg powerplant. Its a Honda K20 engine from the RSX/Integra (Teg). Hence the reference to the Vtec Crossover. Thats coming from the K20 thats in the Mr2(MR S). The 3age/4age toyota engines do good also, and have a almost similar crossover sounds higher in the rpm range, but its a very distinctive hyped growler thats more sharper tone on the engines stroke reverb pulses that are heard, while the Vtec crossover on honda B, C, F, H, and K series Dohc engines have their very own linear engaging growl thats more mid tone, and the specific vtec engagement growl of its own that can be heard in the engine pulses. Both toyota and honda engines like the 3age.,4age.and K20, b18. Etc scream and rev well into the upper 8000+ rpm range. And so much fun driving them like that!!

While it's fun and all to see this MR2 being driven hard, you can't just not obey the laws. This vid (not the driver but the others) is why I have pretty much finished with TF in my UK car, having said that even in my German stuff available to me I don't bother, I've managed a grand total of 3 laps this year in TF and I have to say I think im over TF, risks too great and its mainly from other drivers. I'm glad I was able to see TF in the golden era of early 2000's for me its track days only I fear I till the whole insurance situation is scrapped and we can all play knock for knock and not have to worry about losing our houses due to somebody crashing on my coolant ( those days are coming as more and more Germany policies exclude the ring each year). Or maybe I'm just getting old

I'm split on the tiguan overtake. On one hand its TF so you should expect the worst. Not sure even if the tiguan had stayed right it would have been safe to overtake there.
Every time i watch a video about racing in nurburgring i think about 'man this is the goal of my life'. Hungary is a poor country. Yes we have rich people. But when you r between 20-30 its impossible to build a race-safe handling car, maybe a lada or some old audi, bmw for 3200 euro. You throw a garret and sperr differential for another 1500 euro. But if you have a good IT job you can get 800eur/mo. If everything is good you take away 150-200 euro for your 'dream'. Its 2 year maybe if you r just sit down and wait and don't do anything for 2 year. This is the reason why you buy a G27 and watch youtube.... :D
