Hello from new zealand. I diagnosed my bad injector pump (4d56t). By installing a electric pump bypassing the lift pump/filter combo. it would run as usual, i tried every trick under the sun to get the circuit air free, She would start first pop every time and idle away happily all day, but would starve for fuel under any load, (bad low pressure pump at the back of the inj pump) I replaced injector pump with a complete reconditioned unit and she is running ok (sluggish/hard to stard from cold) need to fine tune injector position timing and fuel delivery main and turbo compensated delivery and she has low compression/blow by. piston rings and de glaze boar next haha (1993 delica van) 15psi hot pipe no lag, smoke trail, straight pipe exhaust, run on used filterd engine oil some times haha.
Very good and clever solutions for de-stressed due to electric fuel pump in fuel line, never tot or come accross in my mind the 4psi will blew the seal before seen your video. And thats return line and one way valve setup...blowing mind!!!, love your video and will install my isuzu 4jb1T copying your setup. Thx for good solutions. Cherss from Malaysia.
@@kasigangovender8672 hi, today i'll do mine, long delay to put the setup in my fuel line due to MCO and parts finding process. Hope i'll success to fabricate accordingly. Cherrssss
@@madsardthung6892 hey bro, I think a better idea is to put a fuel tap with return line so the pressure won't be to much to break the seals I side the injector pump
Do a pressure test with the engine running. Also connect the line after check valve to the return line, that way the air is sent back to the tank and not looping.
can you please explain a little more on this >>>>Also connect the line after check valve to the return line, that way the air is sent back to the tank and not looping.
@@TheRyanthonys Because the air wouldn't be able to escape in a close system hence not as self bleed as it claim to be. Adjust as accordingly, as this does affect the pressure differently when you return the fuel to tank vs looping it back to the secondary pump.
In this case, air is still lighter than diesel. Based on your testing, it seems to run okay. So I guess what I'm suggesting is more of efficiency? Why not orient the T-splitter upwards instead of sideways as you have currently installed it? Also instead of a 90 degree splitter, maybe a lesser angled splitter? Just so that the air would escape a little bit better and smoother??? Also, is the pump you installed a constant one? (t seems like it) or does pumping increase as you step on the throttle more?

Nice videos, Just wonder if you really needed this "pressure relief valve" ? Many land rover has a factory installed mechanical lift pump, which presure is about 42 - 55 Kpa (6 - 8 Psi) according to the 1993 Official Discovery 200 Tdi workshop manual. These engines are equipped with a Bosch distributor pump
Im assuming youre talking about the one way valve/check valve. I had that installed so that dieael wont go back down once the engine is turned off. Had to put the return line else way the electric pump would cause the ve pump to leak, consisering that the mechanical pump would only produce that presure only when you mechanically pump it, the electric pump would apply constant pressure.hence the need for the return line.
@@MrDIYer Yes by ressure relief valve I meant one way check valve, I just think that this pump is safe enough and build not enough pressure to blow up the seals on the pump
