It's more akin to "The Grove" which is an awesome plug-in for growing your own plants in blender (and houdini).

Amazing! Will you guys add many presets for the most common types of trees, like Pines, Oaks, Apple trees etc? 😀 That would help a lot I'm sure.

Can this system achieve the same type of trees created in SpeedTree?

      More nuanced response:
Flora is a totally new way of thinking about modelling plants. Flora offers complete control over a botanically-inspired model of plant growth down to the behaviour of the growing shoot tip. It's a highly modular framework that allows you to choose either the kind of workflow you are used to with direct-modelling approaches (like st), or a more simulation based approach, and anywhere in-between.
      The goals with Flora are:
      1. To allow studios to assemble their own, in-house, highly specialised Foliage pipelines out of Flora components, without needing to go and study botany for 5 years.
      2. To create industry leading foliage modelling tools that allows artists to own and sell their own work created with the tools
      3. To grow more realistic and "true to life" plants more easily, while giving artists even more precise and powerful controls than they are used to in older workflows.
Due the simulation based underpinnings of the system, it's even easy to create highly-detailed and realistic-looking simulations of growing plants.

seem incredible , but this reverse workflow down to top is challanging for my brain :)
