This one has been on my list for awhile, maybe this spring. Impressive that you both can fit in a 1P tent with 2 pads. Looks like a plexamid or altaplex??....that's why I'm assuming 1P. Liked your choice of music for the moody weather. Thanks for taking us along!
That would be a nice spring hike! And yes, it's the Plexamid. I'd call it almost a 1+ tent. The large air mattress and the small one just barely fit in there, but not a lot of room for error in inclement weather. It's a great tent, but has limited application with a dog her size. I'll weigh in more heavily on the weather with future use. Thanks for watching! It was fun even with the rain. I had forgotten how rewarding simply the hike itself can be.
I wasn't too far from you on the 12th. I was over on the AT hiking out to Nick Grindstaff monument. I love that section of the IMT very little to no other hikers on it. Great hike and video, really enjoyed it. I'm off to the channels tomorrow.
You were just on the other side of the road! And I agree, this section of the IMT feels different than the Northern section. I enjoyed it even with the fog and rain. I'll go back again at some point for sure so I can check out some of the views I've heard it offers. I hope you make a video sharing your adventure there! I haven't been yet but hope to go soon.
@@markwthompson71 I like both sections of the IMT. I grew up in Konnarock,Va. and have hiked the entire area for over 40 years. Yes I made a video of my last hike and it's on my channel if you'd like to check it out sometime.
Man that trail looks so different without all the snow I had , wish u would had got all the amazing views on the TN side I really love that trail and great job on the vid a lot different thank the normal ones
It definitely was a different trail than you did. I was sad all the snow was gone, because I was looking forward to the challenge of it -- but at the same time I'm glad it was gone so I didn't have worry about the timeline. You can tell this was old AT due to the fact that there was only 1 switchback and that was at the very end of the trail. :-)
Really nice hike! Thanks for sharing
