It is written that they "all believers where one in heart and claimed nothing as their own, but shared everything they had." Even did as the king instructed them to do in Luke 12:33. They sold their possessions and brought all the money and laid it at the feet of the apostles who themselves had no place to lay their head. And they distributed to anyone who had need. This act was based on the promise to the poor who were left out to die. See Isaiah 1:17, the one who prophesied of the coming of our king was sent to argue the case of the homeless, who generally were widows and orphans because of their plight. When the leaders failed to bring their case before their council, this is where God had to follow through with what he warned them of in Exodus 22:22. And so they were slaughtered for their wickedness. And a promise was made of a king who would come, and rule with righteousness, and establish rulers to rule with justice. That's what the apostles were, the rulers ruling with justice by looking out for the needs of the poor, while keeping themselves from being corrupted by the wickedness of the world that leaves them out to die.
It depends HOW one becomes wealthy. If one does it through immoral means then what Jesus says is true. If one does it voluntarily where both parties gain in value such a person has already helped others tremendously and could do less good in the world if he simply gave everything he gained in the trade away. Read the verses in context starting with Matthew 19:21. It is about the relishing and coveting of great worldly treasures. If you have a lot of money and you are not humble, then you are lost. Christ is not commanding you to sell off your investments and your profits and retirement; Rather, He is saying to sell off your worldliness, worldly possessions, things which are not of God. If you have all of that money and have not yet been enticed by the world to engage in overspending, fancy things, a fancy house and car etc..then you are doing what Christ commanded. Keeping yourself humble and not permitting your money to change your habits, living as if you are poor.

So this Christ dude was poor, didnt care much about money, grew up humble and learned a skilled trade and did actual manual labor. Theres no way he was Jewish.
Its important to understand that "to sell all that he has and give to the poor" didnt mean to sell all his earthly belongings and give to the poor. Jesus always talked in parables and what he was saying was that each man that wants to enter the Kingdom of Heaven must allianate himself from everything that he cherishes, wishes and reasons from his own proprium.... meaning ; his own affections and thoughts separated from the Lord. To "give to the poor", signifies to instruct those desirous of the knowledges of Truth. To be poor spiritually, signifies to not know or to not be in possession of the knowledges of Truth. Money ; signifies the knowledges of Truth. And in a bad way it means that, men of all ages, wish to claim from within, that all their intelligence is from themselves - and not from God So money in a good way symbolizes the knowledges of Truth, But in the opposite way - when used in the wrong way - the falsities coming from the love of own intellect Rich people, in an earthly sense, also enter The Heavens, as well as the poor. But it is those, spiritually rich, who consider themselves to be in possession of the truths they know and procure, that have a love for their own intellect. These are the 'rich' that wont enter Heaven.
Is it not about where ones attention lies, we turn from the movement of life, the living truth and open heart, with lust and pride and greed, a poor exchange, we make false idols of our self before God, we turn from the real, the truth and the light, and we condemn ourselves to darkness, yet the door is always open, the kingdom of heaven is here, now, it is inside and outside, no stone left unturned. God is the real and Christ is that connection, that bridge , that voice that leads the way within us all, we simply choose not to hear it. The path to follow is the very step we take, we must watch where we tread with open hearts and let God lead the way, not the God we want for ourselves , but the God we have in living truth, that which cannot be denied.
Yea is truth but You cannot be a poor men without everything and fell life like that, You need money, home, a job, Something this and ofc without obssesion of this
Feel people will gonna notice the detail on that scene. Jesus is not against rich people, or people have properties and their own stuff, Jesus know that man has the heritage of a rich slave lord father. Jesus know the origin of that money. Thats why it was important to Jesus to say that to the son of the Slavelord. To give up from that dirty money and follow him. Jesus is not against rich people or ownership of properties, because he still defend the law of God: You Shall not steal.
Jesus Christ peace on him and his mother called to monotheism. Not to worship him at all to prostrate only to god almighty Allah the almighty magnificent.
They left out the part where the young man refers to Jesus as, "good teacher" Jesus then replies: "why do you call me good? Nobody is good except one, God." He never stated that he was equal to his father. They always leave out the important points from the Bible.
best verse in the bible is Ecclesiastes 4:3 "Yet, better than both is he who has never existed, Who has not seen the evil work that is done under the sun."
A lot of people miss the point of this story (including Francis Chan.) Many things can blind us to our greatest need. For some it is sinless perfectionism, demonstrating salvific "fruits" through our supposed wonderful works. For others wealth. For others addictions/great shame thinking we've fallen too far for the Lord to save us. For this rich young it was the wealth and status. What he needed most was right there in front of him. He wanted something else though. He wanted to do something, he wanted to complete himself by himself. Jesus gave him what he sought. He refused what he actually needed.

To survive not to worship or give power over your life.
God bless good soul 😊
Amin
Jesus after He said the camel and needle quote was questioned by his apostles who said then who can be saved Jesus then said what is impossible for man God can do
If you lived in those times and saw and heard about these miracles just do what he says. Don’t even think.
And in a bad way it means that, men of all ages, wish to claim from within, that all their intelligence is from themselves - and not from God
So money in a good way symbolizes the knowledges of Truth,
But in the opposite way - when used in the wrong way - the falsities coming from the love of own intellect
Rich people, in an earthly sense, also enter The Heavens, as well as the poor.
But it is those, spiritually rich, who consider themselves to be in possession of the truths they know and procure, that have a love for their own intellect.
These are the 'rich' that wont enter Heaven.
it took me forever to understand Jesus sayings during this scene. now i understand and as usual, Jesus is 100% correct
Funny... the pop up ad that played before this video included JD Vance begging for money. The "Pursuit of Truth" channel is a mockery.
People nowadays worship money more than God. Money is their God in this life. A rotten treasure that cannot saved them in the last days. Poor rich
"Jesus SHOCKS & DESTOYS a Prince Who Values Money" -- Wow, this is lost on all the "Christian" Republicans.
The rich man's name is unknown. The Teacher's is, over 2000 years later.
Those blue eyes must be a cultural thing 😂😂😂😂
Jesus basically told him in biblical terms "you'll never see a hearse pulling a U-Haul".
Jesus SHOCKS & DESTOYS? Destoys??? Maybe fix the title.
Our lord
so you are a ? What ? A peasant ?
This makes no sense. If the rich man gives all his wealth to the poor, then the poor won't be able to enter the kingdom of god since they now loaded.
Then you don't understand what Jesus is saying.
@@videonmode8649 I don't think the gospel writers who inserted their own words into Jesus's mouth understood what they were saying either
Jesus' hair has volume.
Complements his European features perfectly 😂
Yea is truth but You cannot be a poor men without everything and fell life like that, You need money, home, a job, Something this and ofc without obssesion of this
I THINK YOU MEANT "Destroys" not "Destoys"
that's a really bad title for this video...Jesus simply spoke his truth to the rich man. he did not destroy him.
Money was the Rich Man’s god. I serve the One True God, creator of Heaven and Earth.
This to 0pplace at Lazarus house and they were talking a a dinner when he asked this
"Hey...who likes Magic..?"

Did you know him ? How you know all this ? Ow wait you are..??
@@Ericxxlnp Is that you biden? You sound like him with sentences like 'how you know all this? Ow wait you are???'
Amen😍😍😍
That's not Jesus - it's Robert Powell.
The rich man was not a bad man as portrayed but followed the laws. This part was left out
I wish Christians knew this.
Jesus Christ peace on him and his mother called to monotheism. Not to worship him at all to prostrate only to god almighty Allah the almighty magnificent.
"Destoys"? I think you meant destroys. So making a good argument destroys someone? Grow up!
Value honesty not blind
“Destroys”? The Lord did nothing of the kind.
Believe
A lot of people miss the point of this story (including Francis Chan.) Many things can blind us to our greatest need. For some it is sinless perfectionism, demonstrating salvific "fruits" through our supposed wonderful works. For others wealth. For others addictions/great shame thinking we've fallen too far for the Lord to save us. For this rich young it was the wealth and status. What he needed most was right there in front of him. He wanted something else though. He wanted to do something, he wanted to complete himself by himself. Jesus gave him what he sought. He refused what he actually needed.
Of no effect is the repentance of those who continue to do evil, until death faces one of them, and he says, "Now have I repented indeed;" nor of those who die rejecting Faith: for them have We prepared a punishment most grievous.
- (Quran 4:18).
And those who do not invoke with Allah another deity or kill the soul which Allah has forbidden [to be killed], except by right, and do not commit unlawful sexual intercourse. And whoever should do that will meet a penalty. Multiplied for him is the punishment on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein humiliated - Except for those who repent, believe and do righteous work. For them Allah will replace their evil deeds with good. And ever is Allāh Forgiving and Merciful.
- (Quran 25: 68-70).
Say: "O my Servants who have transgressed against their souls! Despair not of the Mercy of Allah: for Allah forgives all sins: for He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
- (Quran 39:53).
