I gotta fix one of these. Thanks for showing your process, along with the hiccups. That makes the process much smoother for everyone who follows your path. Cheers!
Glad to help
Thanks for this informative video, but honestly, the best bet is to completely replace these overly complicated Prier pieces of junk with a newer, simpler, high quality product such as Sharkbite’s, because you are very unlikely to be able to keep these Prier ones from leaking after rebuilding.
I am following your very helpful video to repair mine. I am at 1:50 time point in your video, but can't go beyond that. The valve stem isn't coming out even after turning and pulling with a wrench. Any suggestion? Spray WD40?
My Prier from lowes or home depot lasted a whole year before it just runs a little even in the off position. Took it apart and it looks different than yours at the end. Just 1 rubber gasket under the end screw and a weird thin rubber skirt. Not sure if I should replace it or find a kit but nothing seems worn on mine.
Sounds like you have the Diamond Series left-handed. Yeah, weird little rubber skirt. Call me crazy, but there 'new' spigots sure are alot more problematic than the indestructible spigots of yesteryear.
I had a Prier freez proof faucet put in 11years ago and and after 2 year's it started to leak now is just got worst I'm a widow and i thought i can just tighten the the bib or the nut what ever is called guess i have to call a plumber which is going to cost me
