Something so satisfying watching a Master Tech/Constructor doing his work on a vehicle to create something so special. Thanks for sharing the journey Devin.
As an engineer, take your time to mitigate rework. You are really good, Devin. Stay ficus, sleep, love your girl, and don't be stressed. I know that is easier said than done, but it is true.
The work and time spent man is just wow! The intake manifold itching is incredible 1/1. The harness holy moly looks incredible. Praying 🙏🏽 that all goes well for a start up soon
I didnt look through he comment that hard but usually its good practice to clamp the other half of the V-bamd when welding to avoid warping. just a heads up! love the series!
Said it before but you really gotta put a bellows on that wastegate pipe. Solid mounting it to the engine will cause issues later, start cracking welds due to vibration and heat expansion ect.
Great job buddy! That’s a lot of work. But it seems like you don’t have enough sleep for completing the type R project Well, you got the timeline. Go! go! whatever it go!😅
Damn the hoodie and T shirts are already sold out. I had them in my cart and by the time I try check out they are gone. I hope you can do another run of these! Keep up the good work. I wish I could make it to the meet! 👍
Shit went too place order on couple hoodies said they werre in stock went to check out and all sold out in both sizes and both hoodies in less then hr of this video upload ... my man blowin up 🤙
All this talk about it not being a show car so you can drive it and not feel bad but I know that inner Devin is screaming to make the build cleaner and cleaner LMFAO. I will say that you do shit the right way even if it isn't the first time, you'll correct it. Mad respect and props. I do have a feeling this will end up a show car tho.😂😂
aint no way everything already sold out... Im so mad I wanted a hoodie bad from this drop, will there be any restock considering how fast they sold out
Well fuck!!! Its sold out already, I hope you drop another batch. Maybe grey in tha mix!!! I shall patiently wait, till then i'll keep watching this dope vids!!!
Watching you from the very beginning of this channel is like Crack... bro, I really... really enjoy your videos. Can't wait until you fire this bad boy up... Do you need a beer?
K20/24 frank is better for NA, especially with a car as heavy as the fk8, u need that torque. Mine made 280whp with a very mild build and I got 9200rpm even with k24 bottom end.
@fkhothatchi Old K's are almost as heavy.. you are only saving about 20-30lbs.. Old K has heavier head and heavier intake(k20c1 is plastic).. build was about $3500k total(engine and interals) but that doesn't include labor n those were 2017 prices..
@@JonHop1 k20c1 is heavy AF look how that k24 looks punny compared to the k20c1 which has the integrated manifold, no turbo no intercooler at the very least thats 150lbs combined
Devins the goat. Literally the only person that can build a whole car start to finish by himself.
He ain’t build it by himself, it would be much longer if that were the case. Not discrediting your comment
he is awesome
Let’s not forget Val who helped him with the frame bodywork and paint! But yes Devin is a complete beast
I also feel like Bobbi’s dad is a honorable mention
@@0be1Gordon What did he not do? Except bought parts and some machining to the block? There's not much more a human can do.

The attention to detail on this build is insane!
Quite the accomplishment Devin, you went way above and beyond on this build, it is one of a kind and in my opinion "Priceless"
That manifold!!!! Now the build is looking complete!!
devin is the mozart of building cars. especially this one.
Man Devin all that hard work is gonna pay off soon your the man.

The intake manifold logo is cook asf Devin... that definitely set it off, perfect finishing touch
Devin the quality of your work is soooooo goooooooood😫😫
As an engineer, take your time to mitigate rework. You are really good, Devin. Stay ficus, sleep, love your girl, and don't be stressed. I know that is easier said than done, but it is true.
One of the smartest and most attention to deal dude on RUclips
The work and time spent man is just wow! The intake manifold itching is incredible 1/1. The harness holy moly looks incredible. Praying 🙏🏽 that all goes well for a start up soon

I didnt look through he comment that hard but usually its good practice to clamp the other half of the V-bamd when welding to avoid warping. just a heads up! love the series!
As usual Devin you work ethics is on point can’t wait to see it on the ground and driving keep up the good work
I hope the engineers at Honda Japan have been watching these videos attentively.
Damn y’all already sold out of the 4 banger hoodie. Keep that one going. I want it!
The intake manifold looks sick man

Amazing work, watched from the start of the build from the Uk
We NEED another drop! Everything already sold out for us Subie boys.
🔥🔥🔥🔥 I think the first thing I would want to Learn is how to rebuild a harness.
Great ecu location that’s where I put my Apexi neo when I had a gsr
Nice work bro, as always... Big hug from Portugal
this build is frickin AWESOME ❤
Thank you for explaining the build as you go. Great work!
If only I could be 1/4 as productive as Devin 🥹😂 man is a beast
Said it before but you really gotta put a bellows on that wastegate pipe. Solid mounting it to the engine will cause issues later, start cracking welds due to vibration and heat expansion ect.
Lasers! Pew pew dang son that’s legit
SEMA lets go!!!!
That is awesome how you etched the and type-r
It would be awesome if you got the car together enough to take it to Honda fest in Kent this weekend
Great job buddy! That’s a lot of work.
But it seems like you don’t have enough sleep for completing the type R project
Well, you got the timeline.
Go! go! whatever it go!😅
COOLEST TYPE R IN NORTH AMERICA

you have learned to work as one.....good for you.
Looking good top job my man all the best cheers 🇬🇧
I can see you on an interview with Vinwiki chatting about this build.
goddammmm!!!!!! thats an awesome unique touch love it
Should have mounted the ecu on the back of glove box so it’s out of sight and only see the 4 bolt heads on inside (black low profile for more stealth)
Man that build is worth $200,000 bucks bro with all that work art and time.
Want that sti hoodie when dropping 😍
All this talk about it not being a show car so you can drive it and not feel bad but I know that inner Devin is screaming to make the build cleaner and cleaner LMFAO. I will say that you do shit the right way even if it isn't the first time, you'll correct it. Mad respect and props.
I do have a feeling this will end up a show car tho.😂😂
Good job Dev but I would have coated the exhaust manifold to lower under bonnet temps.
Please do another run of the shirts! I missed it I was at work!!
That’s amazing man
Got the video too late cause of work hope you’re gonna restock that drop i need this hoodie 🙏
Been waiting!!
Love from Spokane 🤘
Awesome build this
My hero 🔥
That wiring harness gave me anxiety...as a PC builder who's OCD engages when doing cable management...I think I'd die with that harness
Would of been cool to put your logo on the intake manifold also!
So clean
Brazil accompanies you
Are you insulating the cat back from the floor board it looks like it's touching... Would that flex and make noise???
South Africa here kak county but good job bro 😂
Never realised how long a wiring loom was!
so close!
aint no way everything already sold out... Im so mad I wanted a hoodie bad from this drop, will there be any restock considering how fast they sold out

Hi Devin! one curiosity, why not FuelTech?
Hola Devin saludos desde CDMX de 🇲🇽👍🤟😎
Watching you from the very beginning of this channel is like Crack... bro, I really... really enjoy your videos. Can't wait until you fire this bad boy up... Do you need a beer?
please restock the ej tees next drop!!
So what's on the cards after this? Evo K swap rwd
Comment 52 wooooow nice hats bro!!! wooow Type R looks badass bro.
The exhaust pipe is so low. I would split the exhaust pipe into two smaller pipes and put them above the drive shaft
fc from Thailand
Why not thermo wrap the exhaust and dump pipe
What spray gun do you use?
Wish I had ur skills bro ..
Are the fuel tanks complete?
Yes
If your not first your last. Guess im last. Lol.
Where it’s the k drop👀!!
why not some WRX sweater for the broke homies
Gas as always
I really wish I could buy more from the drops but **king Germany takes multiple months to deliver...
Still waiting from the may drop😐
Where’s the EVO merch?
Bro love the constant vid but take a week off and get some rest you look really tired getting bags now 😕
my dream of making my fk8 an NA monster by stuffing a type R k20a engine just become realistic with this series

Maybe en 2 more years...
