    As shown in other reviews, you can add a diopter lens to allow shorter focus distances.

    I have the original 50mm and I started taking pics with it and love it as well. I just did a short film with the 50mm I posted last week.

    Hi from Barcelona, nice photos! 😅 I have the Saturn 35mm but yeah it's a bit too wide sometimes, closer to 22mm on the sides.

    thx for the presentation... beside the all times distracting orange (blue) stripes and flares: I tried several anamorphic lenses I found all tag lenses too unsharp for real photography... (except the Venus lenses 50, 75, 100, 135 and 150 mm due to their tele-construction)

    Magic at it again! Now to watch the video 😊

    Woah. Thats wild!! I watched your original anamorphic lens video in japan, and I found this after! After watching your previous workflow, and how you fixed the barrel distortion, it looks like not fixing it and just getting a new lens was a good choice. If it was me and I had to carry that huge thing around, I'd die as well haha!
    Have you ever thought about using one of those Handheld LiDAR Autofocus things for the lens? Sure its a bit clunky but you get auto focus!

    Mam pytanie odnoście ustawianie czułości śledzenia AF, na jaką czułość ją ustawiasz w swoim Sony A7R V do robienia reportaży ślubnych,. lub jaką w ogóle polecasz ustawić.

    It's shocking how they went to this size while keeping it T2.9! Try some new tiny screens for desqueezing. There are many lightweight and cheap screens out there now even lower than 5". You can as well use your phone with some apps like Monitor+.

    • @MagicWeddingPhotographer
      @MagicWeddingPhotographer  Год назад +2

      Yup!! Insane size decrease! I did use Acsoon SeeMo recorder before and it worked great, but if you want to be compact and use the lightweights of this lens, mounting something on the top is kinda pointless…

    Maybe it's just me, but I don't need any flare except maybe night shots. The unsharp edges and hassle with the unsqeezing led me to the conclusion to just use a 24 or 35 and crop the top and Botton - voila!

      @@nelsonbustamante8756 Yeah the recent B set looks even more appealing than the A-Set tbh! Add those with the 35mm (or 33mm, Cam Mackey's test video on the 33 looked incredible) and you're set for life. Unless you start doing real film!

    How do you de squeeze on photoshop - how did you know it was 67.3% and is there a way you worked it oht

    • @tobiasnordli
      @tobiasnordli 9 месяцев назад +1

      It's math. The lens is 1.6x wide, so you divide 100 (height percentage) with 1.6 and get the new height of 62.5%

  • @middleclass-014

    what is the difference versus wide angle lens? thanks bro this lens is interesting.

    • @thorstenjaspert9394
      @thorstenjaspert9394 3 месяца назад

      A wide angle lens has a larger angle of view in the horizontal and vertical axes. The angle of view of a 50 mm anamorphic lens is wider than a spherical lens but much less high. The aspect ratio is 1:2.39 instead of 2:3 or 1: 1.5.

  • @grainfrizz

    Can't lightroom desqueeze it? Does it have to be photoshop?

    These are very cool to consider for "photography" for sure!.. that 75mm is equivalent to what?..close to 50mm horizontally?..thanks for these insights..always enjoy seeing these "creative" and different options to consider for stills..

    • @MagicWeddingPhotographer
      @MagicWeddingPhotographer  Год назад +1

      Yup! 75mm gives you equivalent of 47mm horizontally. And probably more background blur too
