2 years ago, Christmas, I found a full set of Titleist DCI black irons (4i - PW)... $85 U.S. Release date was 1992. They looked like they were maybe used 1 year or 2. I put them in the bag and played them for about 6 months. The lofts are a full wedge lower than my regular irons (Mizuno JPX 921 HM ... GW is 49 degrees. The DCI PW is 48. But I could absolutely still game these irons. Mark Cross field did a review of Ping Eye-2 irons vs. Ping G425's . The distance dispersion of the Eye-2 irons (short to long was signficantly better). The modern Pings are more forgiving and longer. I found the same thing with these DCI irons. Really dependable distance control.

Thank you so much for sharing. Forgiveness has come a long way!

Yup that's why I still play Rac LT. Tight dispersion with enough technology.

I think E stands for Equalizer. Hogan referred to his wedge with that term

I really like the Ben Hogan brand, I was looking eBay I saw a set of Apex Edge forged irons 3-PW stiff in excellent condition $185! Love them! That Adams is a beauty! I found a brass putter in the trash on the course the shaft was broken. I fixed it up and practice with it! Fun review Thanks

Those Adams DHY Pros were pitched as driving irons and were fire. A lot of technology that you see on Taylormade clubs were develkoped by Adams like the speed slot on the bottom of this club. I built a bag long ago that had 3 Adams Super 9031 hybrids and even though i was a high handicapper, I found those easy to hit. I regret moving on from them. I also regret selling my set of Nike Covert 2 VR-S forged irons that were just butter smooth.

I think it will be amazing what you can find in your local flea markets. You should see what is for sale at normal markets here in Thailand.

I clicked right away… faster than usual when I saw the Nike NDS iron in the thumbnail. I game those clubs with Tour Velvet +4 grips. 5-9 Absolutely love them. Grace Park gamed them on the LPGA tour. Those teal groves are in fact standard. I’ve only been playing for a year but I also own a set of VR pro combos and VR pro blades. 😂 it’s hard to come by lefty models so I snagged them.

Nothing wrong with any of the clubs.
The chipped at 45 deg is more lofted than your modern OEM wedge.
Hogan, I still game Apex pro, from 2002 none better. The E club is the Wedge.

You can’t go wrong with classic Adams gear.
Was watching Dan Hendrickson channel this morning and thought of you pitching/putting set up as he redid his entire backyard and looked amazing. You should watch it to get some ideas if your channel starts to take off.

i always get my clubs from charity shops and sales here in the UK. it makes you wonder why anyone except a scratch player would ever buy new . This morning i bought 2 mizuno mp100 hybrids for £5 each , plus a new driver and a 3 wood for the same . Its a fun thing except you end up with a garage full of clubs and a new set everytime you play!. i love 70's blades! yiu don't need to be a good player to enjoy them. Learning to hit them is perhaps a way to get better, or give up!

I definitely love the idea of learning to hit blades for the purpose of getting better. I think it would work 100 percent.

I played with a lady once who had a chipper and she was money with that thing. She played it so well, it made me want to get one.

Some of those chippers have gotten really interesting. The ping version they came out with a couple years ago was nice too
