I tried the Montblanc Black Meisterstuck in a store, and It was love at first sniff. It is a really woody, incense, smoky type of fragrance, which turns into a bit more aromatic note. Really love this, the projection and longevity is really good. One of the fragrance on my buying list. The new Montblanc signature line are all Parfum concentration, and lasts around 8 hours on my skin..
The round black fig one Sebastian mentioned from Mauboussin is called Une Histoire d’homme irresistible. Very wonderful fresh and green sandalwood / fig fragrance. Translated it means “the story of the irresistible man.”
Salted Muse from Orabella is actually really nice. I like to use it as my base oil to make my fragrance last. On me, it goes well with Wulong Cha. The fragrance I’m really excited to try is the new Celine fragrance. ☺️
I got to test the new Mont Blanc line in John Lewis (UK). Patchouli Ink was the standout for me - actually smells like patchouli and ink especially in the opening. Vetiver Glacier was a little bit disappointing - it was more resinous than I hoped. The other two weren't very memorable for me.

I have sampled Black Meisterstuck - sprayed on my hand from the store - the incense is a bit sour but not unpleasant. I absolutely loved it as it dries down and found one on eBay the next day. After using on my body, it came across more ambroxan heavy than the first time.
Oh I love violet notes! Very interested in the New Notes one. I'm addicted to Penhaligon's The Favourite and Mojave Ghost by Byredo for when I want my violet fix.
More and more!! 😆 it's just crazy! I'm excited for YLOP, love sesame I hope more and more fragrances include it, Sora Dora has become one of my favorite new houses. Excited for that Jordi Fernandez fragrance. I don't know about the others on the list I'll wait to learn more to see which ones I wanna test. Have you heard of the new A*Men Fantasm? A new release I am looking forward to is Kenzo Homme Santal Marin. The nose behind this fragrance is Quentin Bisch. Top note is Sea Notes; middle note is Lavender; base notes are Sandalwood and Guaiac Wood. Very excited for this one🤞🏻
Soooo many new releases. I'm eager to try the Montblanc Collection, especially Patchouli Ink (which I've heard is very, very similar to Le Labo Patchouli 24) and Extreme Leather. I think Black Meisterstuck sounds interesting too, but I've been told it's kind of boring. I'll have to see for myself, though. I'm curious if they'll find their way to the discounters like the other Montblanc scents tend to do.
The Montblanc fragrances sound interesting. I find it fascinating that they have named the fragrances after their pen/ink line up. MB's 2023 Special Edition Meisterstuck (German for Masterpiece) fountain pen and ink were called Glacier. Beautiful pens and ink.
ZouZou sounds fascinating. BonBons a la Violette sounds fascinating. I have to get my nose on Maboussin. I have to do a deeper dive into Sora Dora. I still have some of the original Fendi perfume. It’s gorgeous and ‘90’s style. One of the boldest feminine woody fragrances. I am curious about the new line. Does LVMH own all the nose factories?
The Mont Blanc ones are a disappointment for me. The black one is a harsh incense. The leather one smells like a cross between Valentino Uomo and TF Ombre Leather. The patchouli one smells like bitter olives. The vetiver one is Java Vetiver with some dry(non creamy) sandalwood and musk. Pleasant, but smelled before.
I’m excited to get my nose on Rose Amira by Guerlain. TBH I haven’t read many good reviews, but I’m hoping that my personal experience will be a bit better than what I’m reading.
@@ThePerfumeGuy It’s yummy. Certainly not nearly as interesting as the original with that Galbanum note… but it’s a creamy, juicy, resinous, woody, and floral take on mango. I personally prefer it to “Eclectic”, but mostly because it’s more unisex leaning. All of them are threaded by the lotion like coconut note. 🥭🤗🥭
I'm wary about any new Viktor and Rolf Spicebomb fragrance. I love the original but haven't liked the others. Especially the awful Spicebomb Nightvision.

Hey Sebastian, 1. Any exciting intel on new MFKs? I talked to some of their reps last Saturday in the Dubai’s Galeries Lafayette - they mentioned something new is coming in 2024! But couldn’t give details… Also we discussed possibilities for MFK-branded men’s aftershave and they said it’s in works (hooray!) - apparently they might launch it this year for select few (L’Homme a la rose, Masculine Pluriel, Amyris, Gentle Fluidity silver) scents! Not sure they meant launching the design or production though, I guess it’s the former. 2. Now that FK is head of Dior there is so much they can appropriate for MFK, don’t you think? 3. Also, any thoughts if FK will ever do a new Sauvage or Dior Homme now that he’s steering that ship? Cheers, and thanks for the meticulously time coded and well described videos! Really stand out among other lazy colleagues :)
I have heard that MFK is relaunching APOM. I am hoping it's the male APOM as it's sought after. I actually just tested the new Sauvage skin care and loved the cleanser. Personally I think FK might do a brand new men's fragrance? At least he should but I don't know. Maybe they will do an PARFUM x 2? LOL! I don't know! :)

Loved your descriptions of APOM, checked the web and was so sad it’s discontinued and next to impossible to find unless you sell a piece of yourself (ironic hehe) Oh wow, didn’t know they had a cleanser! Only tried the balm and it’s alright, thought MFK should take a page from their playbook :) And yes sure would be great to see FK do something new! I just recall he did one of Dior Hommes already (I think it was an old Dior Homme Cologne but don’t quote me on that) so perhaps he will end up contributing both to new and existing lines :) Anyways hope he gets down to some mainstream lines beyond the private line.
