When my son was born I was having horrible contractions and dilated to 5cm at 36 weeks and 5 days. I went in on a Saturday morning after speaking with my doctor she said to go up and get checked anyway, so I brought donuts for the morning staff to say thank you for dealing with me and... apparently they weren't grateful... a few of the nurses I personally overheard talking outside my room said "she thinks we're going to admit her just because she brought us food, she's out of her mind!" I was 19 years old terrified and just wanted to do something nice for people who were possibly going to help us. Broke my heart.
I'm so happy I found your channel! I'm 10 weeks pregnant with my first so learning from mom's who have been through it before is so helpful!

Ahh you’re the absolute best! My husband and I watch you and your family every night together and love you! This video has helped me so much. We just found out we are pregnant with our second child, Our son is almost 2 and we’re so excited! I’m totally going to try all the tubby time. Can’t wait to meet your little girl. Good advice! I like that you didn't go overboard! During my first pregnancy I watched so many of these videos and ended up bringing a suitcase full of stuff I didn't use! To each their own but I'd rather just bring the essentials which I feel like you provided a good list in this video.

Priscilla Urbina look into hypnobirthing! You don't have to actually hypnotize yourself, from one Prescilla to another, I felt I should share! Taking the fear away from giving birth is more than half the battle, I swear! Good luck :)

I bought some new clothing to bring to the hospital, my favorites were 2 soft wonderful sweat pants! I still have them and every time I wear them I think of my sweet little baby into the world 💓
I used dependents to & now I'm on them again at 57 they are very conferrable smart girl it is getting soon copper can't wait to see you when you see your sister for the first time love all of you

Omg I'm totally buying depends instead of using pads and underwear! I HATE those huge pads that sooo long so I'm definitely trying those depends!👌

I love your videos Lex. Your so positive and I love it. If only I could be like you. I'm due November I'm super excited but at same time terrified of worse case scenarios happening to me or baby during delivery but guess that's life birth is so unpredictable.

I think I’m going to be grabbing depends! I am getting ready to have baby girl, 38weeks 3days!! So we are so close! :))
I packed so much things for my delivery, I told myself I wouldn’t have a c section ever. My placenta started to detach and thankfully I was already at the hospital. We had 15-30 min to get him out. Now 4 days pp from c section and everything in my bag was wrong for the delivery I planned for.

I freaking adore you, I stumbled upon your channel a few weeks ago and I believe we have very similar due dates I'm currently 36 w 4 days my due date is June 18th but I have a scheduled c section on the 11th. I'm also have a little lady too. Your so relatable and I agree 100% about buying something new for yourself. No one thinks about mom postpartum really, so look out for yourself and make yourself feel good. Anyways I'm a new subbie and your fantastic! ❤

Debra Casarotto the refreshing spray and all-over ointment are also AMAZING to use on your baby when they get here! The ointment is like gold. You’ll love it! The after birth spray saved me so much discomfort. I was relieved the second I used it!

Jessica Franklin girl pack it !!! Lol with my first I put it off and she came early . So I had NOTHING ready ..my biggest mistake .. I also have a what's in my hospital bag if you have some time .maybe go check it out❤️
I made a checklist of stuff to put in it. Just have to clean the bag before I can pack which is the main thing I'm avoiding for some reason. Apparently, my cats have loved laying on and in it while it sat in my closet for the past year. My doctor is out of town for my 37 week appointment. I'm getting my vitals done but I was told I could skip the exam part unless there's a major change. I've been saying that I was probably going to be past due this whole time. Just started getting braxton hicks contractions like two weeks ago kid is still at my ribs and my cervix is chilling at zero. My best friend and birth partner lives literally next door to my hospital as well. Her husband is on call for whatever demands I have while in the hospital.
Went in for a migraine earlier in the week. After five hours of observation, the nurse was unhooking me from everything and I said I was hungry. She had jello and juice waiting on me after I changed out of the hospital gown.
Your ob is from your hospital? I live 30 seconds away from a hospital but my ob is from a different hospital
I also recommend bringing an extra bag for all the stuff you get from the hospital.
Yes a fan!! The AC went out the entire 4 hours I was pushing. It came back on after 😒
The mesh undies and pads I thought were TERRIBLE. It all wadded up and was awful. Depends all the way if I have a baby number 2! You have the best tops!
