I’m confused as to why in the US, parents take their child’s temperature rectally 🤷♀️. Here in GB, we take our children’s temperature orally. Not even doctors, nurses etc take it rectally.
How do you take a newborns temp orally? I can't imagine trying to stick a thermometer under a babies tongue and keeping it there. Our hospitals and doctors says that rectally is more accurate because under the arm or under the tongue can be off by atleast 2 degrees and with newborns exact degrees are important. Our pediatrician always took it rectally until she was about 9 months old then they switched to under the arm.

I have a jujube backpack that I got on super clearance that I love, but it's a little tight for 2 kids now. And I'm a minimalist momma, too! Even with just the essentials I feel like it's bursting. I'm too frugal to get a new one though. Ha ha. We'll make do! Love the bags you guys have!

Sorry I forgot to say if we can’t take it orally ie because they are a new born, we take it from just inside their ear.
