Zenless Zone Zero is such a fun game. It’s my first Hoyo game and it’s been so fun. The combat is so addicting and satisfying. The story is fun and the characters are so lovable
In regards to "child"... in my profession I tend to hang out with a lot of engineers, mechanics, and equipment specialists, and referring to machines as "their baby", especially their own vehicles, isn't uncommon. "Child" is a bit weird, but it's essentially the same concept.
Corin the chainsaw girl is playable and atm you get her for free in the mail. Ellen is the first limited S tier (5 star) so its expected her trailer got more love to boost sales. Note that there are also character TEASERS that focus more on the personality of the characters as the demo trailers are to showcase their playstyle and abilities. Think of the teasers as mini stories, I fully recommend checking them out next.
Second! 2:20 - The combat is very satisfying! Mihoyo did an excellent job. It has a tag mechanic that lets you switch between three characters, which is very satisfying to see. There might be a new character demo coming out this week a police officer called Zhu Yuan, she is part of the PubSecurity group. Also the character will be able to summon on the banner this week. You should check out the character teasers.
First! 2:20 - Combat is really good. Imagine playing Tekken Tag but with 3 members and RPG mechanics. 24:45 - Its a post-apocalyptic game. Almost everything is corrupted by the Ether and that includes the moon. Anything that has intelligence can be corrupted by the Ether except the Bangboos. The only last surviving city is New Eridu. Grace Howard is from Belobog Heavy Industries. It's a company that specializes in construction in the Hollow which is like a pocket dimension that is corrupted by Ether.
On top of that, the gameplay has Stage based exploration and combat, similar to Honkai Impact 3rd's early story chapters. Exploration is entirely story driven or puzzle based, while combat stages happen in small stages from each Hollow areas. And I do believe the game also has Persona like vibes outside of Battles and missions.

@@Zora72954 yeah... no , HI3 is quite an old game at this point , not only is the game confusing story wise , but player experience wise is horrible for new comers , the ui alone on the first glance will make you want to close off the game, if you really want a good story game id suggest star rail , zzz for combat and overall fun and genshin for exploration
@@maximgeldon i only started playing about a year ago so i have fresh experience when it comes to the new player experience. it really wasnt that bad. the story is way better tha genshins and i havent played SR so i cant really comment but also part 2's story was atrocious. just because the game is old doesnt mean people shouldnt play it. genshin gets really boring after a while. exploring gets tedious and the story from what i played was bland and boring. also judging by your comment about the UI you mustn't have seen the update that happened like half a year ago just before part 2 released
This Hoyo game is pretty much full focus on satisfying (including awesome sound effects) snappy combat. Core combat mechanics are similar to Genshin (normal / charged attacks, skill, ultimate), but with a much more simplified status effect system instead of Genshin's elemental reactions. Though it does have an additional unique mechanic and/or resource for each (or most?) character(s), that Genshin does not have at all. However, it is more fast paced and much more reaction based with parries / dodges / perfect dodges. A team is 3 instead of Genshin's 4 and while there are rotations, you'll have to adapt on the fly to enemy moves much more than Genshin, where most of the time you have a planned out strict rotation with maybe a dodge or a few inbetween. I wouldn't say if you like one you neccessarily like the other, but I find both very satisfying in their own way. ZZZ probably won't have as many creative teams as Genshin (though who knows, it literally just released), but in turn allows for much more skill expression. I wouldn't really compare either to Devil May Cry tbh. Other than them all being action combat, the implementations play entirely different. Progression systems are pretty much exactly the same as Genshin and Star Rail, or any other gacha tbh. Character levels, weapons levels, ascension materials for those, and a set of gear with random attributes to farm - with only minor differences in each game. Daily missions, weekly missions, special endgame mode(s) that reset from time to time etc. etc. The world is just relatively small, but nice looking, instances (kind of like Persona) and all story progression etc. is instance based going one battle arena to the next. Story is told through 1. typical animated portait conversations, 2. comic book style frames, 3. cutscenes, 4. a minigame 2D "map" as stand-in for "exploration" with light rougelike mechanics. Number 4 is sadly not that appreciated by the community as it feels more like it takes you out of the game than letting you play with the characters and appreciate the world. I can't say I like that part either, but it doesn't really bother me either.
I’m really enjoying ZZZ so far. It feels familiar but refreshing even as a fan of their games. Victoria housekeeping is based around horror movies. Ellen has an EP worth listening to called Bite by San-Z and Hoyo-mix :)

Answering your question: Yes, combat is really good and satisfying, you can feel the impact of punches and hits. Does the game lives up to the hype? Yes.
I was ignorant about the characters in the game before released and then Grace's trailer slapped the heck out of my face. And I still havent got her yet, man...
10:10 Long story short, she is very passionate with her Mechs and work. Mostly Mechs. Also yes, combat lives up to the hype imo; combat is arguably one of the most satisfying thing i've ever played. It's Hi3 combat but tuned up to modern times and learning from their work with GI and Honkai franchise. Satisfying sound design, Satisfying animations, and ofcs, classic hoyo Gacha system coupled with hi3's Elf Gacha system too. I'd also like to say; the jiggle physics budget was funded by us idiots spending on all their games so... alot of budget.
Combat is sooo satisfying. The game is very story centric and there's a lot of text, at least half of which is voice acted. I do think there's a good amount of combat opportunities and the animation is just as fabulous in game. From the combat animation to cutscenes.

"Lycaon" was a Greek King who was punished by Zeus by being turned into a wolf. His name is the root of the term "Lycanthrope" or Werewolf. So his name name is basically "Von Wolf". All of the Victoria Housekeeping characters are based on Horror movie monsters, Von Lycaon is the Werewolf, Rina is a Ghost, Corin is Frankenstien's Monster, and Ellen is a Shark, a la Jaws.
The combat is quite satisfying and has a very low skill floor, but if you want to be efficient and to not struggle it also has a high-ish skill ceiling allowing for a lot of tricks and impressive actions, it's nowhere near DMC's ceiling, there isn't even a jump button, but there is still a lot to learn if needed.
Theres a Re:Zero OST by the same artist who made Openings 1 & 3! It went unused! Its called Mobius by Konomi Suzuki. If you search it on RUclips, it'll be one of the top results with a thumbnail of Beatrice and pages of her gospel flying out. I'd love to see you react to this.
the combat is very good to where there is move combos but its not forced upon and since they focused on making it smooth instead of effect filled it feels satisfying

ZZZ has some of the best combat out of all their games, It is a hack-n-slash, WITH PARRY MECHANICS AND COMBOS. When a character performs a skill or attacks enough, you can start combos that allow you to deal insane damage

Ellen is such a cool character. She has the attitude of Ran Mitake from Afterglow with Gawr Gura vibes (she has a Shark hoodie in her teaser for crying out loud).
ZZZ is real time combat like Genshin, but they are smaller more fast paced fights. You might say they are kind of like the Domains in Genshin. The fighting isnt about elemental reactions, but more about quick reaction counters and dodges with combos. The game isnt really open world, but there is a town and some areas to explore. What really sets ZZZ apart is the awesome fun vibes. Its like an late 80s-early 90s aesthetic with funky lofi hip hop, city pop, and rap, bright city colors, and quirky fun characters
While you could probably guess Ellen, Rina, & Lycaon are of the same faction, the other two characters you reacted to are from their own factions. Grace is from Belobog Industries (Confirmed to be completely unrelated to Belobog from HSR) while Soldier 11 is apart of Obol squad, she's currently the only known member of her faction. There have been speculations of another playable character being related to her but since you haven't reacted to her teaser yet I'm gonna leave that one there.
Really sad Corin did not get ANY trailer or demo, granted she is weak and A rank and is literally free but she has an interesting design so... (She is part of Victoria House Keeping, the girl with the giant saw in Lycaon's trailer)

I do like the action mechanics and the aesthetics of ZZZ. A lot of the mechanics have been inspired from Not only Hoyo's other Games, But also other franchises like Final Fantasy.
Out of the videos you watched today, Grace and Soldier 11 are the only two not from Victoria House keeping. Grace is a mechanic for one of the major construction companies in the game that is run by her sister. Soldier 11 is fairly mysterious, but another trailer reveals she has ties to Anby and they’re probably sisters given all their similarities
Sooo the jiggle, everybody has, there is a character that is called Ben, the bear and guess what... His belly jiggles, Billy: his ass jiggles so its more of a fun feature most of the time
The game is pretty fun, but, if you look expecting to be Genshin, you'll be desapointed. It is not open world. Grace was from a diferent group, Belobog Heavy Industry, a construction company. Soldier 11 is from Obsidian Division, its like the militar company.
I remember it took me SOOOOO long to get Lycoan. I had to just pick him outright after my 300 failed draw attempts, so I could get a guaranteed character of my choosing. Hell, I got Ellen and Corrin without issue and more times than I care to count. But Lycoan...he was one of the main reasons I even downloaded the game. Main reason was Ellen. (Us sharks have to stick together, ya know?)
Can absolutely recommend playing ZZZ, the gameplay and OST and vibes are fucking amazing. And the game is NOT open world like Genshin so it shouldn't be overwhelming when you first start. And if you ever do get bogged down by dialogue like in Genshin, don't worry. Cuz you think the physics had a lot of budget? Just wait till you see how much budget the CUTSCENES got!!
Ellen is currently the backbone of my team and the combat is just as gratifying as you think it'd be. I'd highly recommend playing it, it is available on every(?) platform. even if not for content just for yourself. I'm inter-knot level 40 (comments roast me now) and I am still very happy with the gameplay. Fair warning though, TV traversal is not for everyon.
Unlike Genshin and Star Rail, which are more "restrained," Zenless was designed to have a lot of physics, to the point that it's the Hoyo game with the highest age rating in China
I close my eyes, and I hear Welt Yang, not Von Lycaon. Victoria Housekeeping's characters so far are all themed after horror types / genres. Von Lycaon is werewolves / lycans, Rina Sebastiane is ghosts, and Ellen Joe is shark horror flicks like _Jaws_ . Corin Wilkes, who is an A-rank, is Dr. Frankenstein's Monster. No, the combat is not similar to _Genshin_ . It's far faster and smoother than the slow combat you find in that game. It's _Honkai Impact 3rd_ combat made smoother. It's an ARPG roguelike brawler. It's incredibly satisfying. Grace Howard is with Belobog Heavy Industries, which is why she's with Koleda Belobog. If you told me Rina was one of Thelema's maids, I'd have believed you. Oh yeah, Mihoyo seems to love adding horror aspects into odd places. They also did it in Black Swan's trailer for _HSR_ , and for Thelema of course. Both _Genshin_ and _HI3_ have had Halloween events too. I like how Ellen's friends get her. There doesn't seem to be animal-people prejudice in this world. I don't know if you noticed, but in the teasers maybe it shows better that one of her friends has cow ears and a bell. It's a cute friend group. _ZZZ_ has been out since July 4th, although I haven't had much chance to play. Ellen's banner has less than a day left.
For me, a more fitting description would be Nier Automata with Sekiro combat gameplay + Blue Archive Hub Exploration (the CTV part) gameplay (take decisions where to go, effects and a goal). Then you have a Hub World to explore NPC or small missions based on interesting texts and minigsmes of course.
the combat is satisfying, though fair warning, the tutorial is very long, like very VERY long, so much so that 'it gets good 10 hours in' is said half jokingly.
You should react to arleccino’s boss theme all phases, and the live performance absolutio absoluta absolutissime (her last phase theme) its just a banger and not too long, a different kind of boss to the rest, im sure you’ll love it

The cutscenes in the game are incredible as well. For me personally, Chapter 3 was the best. I look forward to seeing more of the animations in this game!

Zenless is not an open world game, is more like an RPG like Persona. The combat is classic Hack n Slash, with parry and everything. The smallness of that world compensate with its level of small details, the game with the most details that Hoyoverse has made.
This game is NOT like Genshin. It's NOT Open World. There are contained Overworld areas specifically for exploring and "pre-combat-strategizing", with the main gameplay loop putting you in Grid-Based Puzzle Sections that then irregularly put you into Battles happening in contained Arenas, some of them larger and with a bit of exploring, some shorter and just for quick fights. It might sound disappointing at first, but they do a damn good job to shake it up within those confines and make it feel darn satisfying. Many people don't like those grid-based Puzzle segments (also commonly referred to as "TV-Mode", cuz you zap through RC-Camera-Grids), but I actually find them very enjoyable, and much more time respecting than the rather few segments where you DO run around and explore on foot.
Combat is most reminiscent of Honkai Impact the 3rd. It's arguably less deep than Devil May Cry for any single character, and I find the differing camera, defensive options, and rapid ways to change combat range (the character whose demo I expect will debut next actually shifts between close and medium range multiple times within her basic attack chain) create more of a visceral feel which goes along with the intentional feel that pressure never entirely goes away and attrition shall never be on your side (the latter isn't true but much closer than in Genshin Impact). I've only played a bit of Ellen and Rina so far, and have used Grace in the storyline but don't have her. My first impressions (which may change as I get further). Ellen is surprisingly like Rosaria in that unless you've leaned heavily into critical hits and have a chance of quickly killing enemies you're best off treating her like the ambush predator she is and finding ways to get an initial hit in from an unprotected direction. Against many enemies this works fine (it helps she's one of the characters who can somewhat safely rush enemies firing guns) but against things with a reach and strength advantage she may need help from her team to block chains of hits powerful enough to otherwise send her flying and create openings. Rina is intended as a support character but can survive once you're used to her slower, floaty movement: as a puppet fighter her offense isn't very dependent on her relative position and as a puppet fighter on a team it doesn't disappear the instant she tags out. Grace is basically Billy if he was Anby: she's less about doing straight damage and more about applying widespread physical damage and electricity without having to risk going toe-to-toe to do it, making the battlefield safer for her teammates to finish the work. (You actually see bits of Cunning Hares tactics used in their demos. Nicole's "charged skill" screws with formations and can alter the course of small projectiles while she's always doing a little bit of damage at all ranges with her weapon (and is surprisingly decent at hard blocks - one of the long-term player skill goals in this game is learning whether it's best to dodge, block, or try to entirely avoid a given attack), Anby is a frontliner stunning her targets who can also charge and pin down gun-wielders, and Billy has the moves to get into and out of medium range but is best suited to picking a firing position and focusing to finish off targets. Mana is very powerful but agility and evasion are her best traits; she's a bit like a twitchier Ellen.)
Oh, since you apparently didn't get the mirror thing (likely due to having never been a teenage girl), there's a classic slumber party experiment for seeing ghosts which has been kicking around for at least seventy years now: wait until you're already tired and trying to stay awake, look into a mirror with dim and unsteady lighting, and just keep staring at your reflection for a quarter-hour to half and hour, maybe with chanting or whatever. While most people learn very early on visual afterimages are a thing, it's less obvious that temporary chemical depletion can cause perceptual afterimages at higher levels of the brain's visual processing and if you stare long enough at your own reflection eventually the part of your brain telling you "this is the image of a human being, who is also you" will get tired and start to slip: you will develop the distinct feeling that the mirror is no longer showing you your own reflection. Victoria Housekeeping is built out of classic movie horror tropes (speculation is that if Victoria exists she's likely a vampire), so Rina was referencing a classic ghost trope.

@@maximgeldon i only started playing about a year ago so i have fresh experience when it comes to the new player experience. it really wasnt that bad. the story is way better tha genshins and i havent played SR so i cant really comment but also part 2's story was atrocious. just because the game is old doesnt mean people shouldnt play it. genshin gets really boring after a while. exploring gets tedious and the story from what i played was bland and boring. also judging by your comment about the UI you mustn't have seen the update that happened like half a year ago just before part 2 released

This Hoyo game is pretty much full focus on satisfying (including awesome sound effects) snappy combat.
Core combat mechanics are similar to Genshin (normal / charged attacks, skill, ultimate), but with a much more simplified status effect system instead of Genshin's elemental reactions.
Though it does have an additional unique mechanic and/or resource for each (or most?) character(s), that Genshin does not have at all.
However, it is more fast paced and much more reaction based with parries / dodges / perfect dodges.
A team is 3 instead of Genshin's 4 and while there are rotations, you'll have to adapt on the fly to enemy moves much more than Genshin, where most of the time you have a planned out strict rotation with maybe a dodge or a few inbetween.
I wouldn't say if you like one you neccessarily like the other, but I find both very satisfying in their own way.
ZZZ probably won't have as many creative teams as Genshin (though who knows, it literally just released), but in turn allows for much more skill expression.
I wouldn't really compare either to Devil May Cry tbh. Other than them all being action combat, the implementations play entirely different.
Progression systems are pretty much exactly the same as Genshin and Star Rail, or any other gacha tbh. Character levels, weapons levels, ascension materials for those, and a set of gear with random attributes to farm - with only minor differences in each game.
Daily missions, weekly missions, special endgame mode(s) that reset from time to time etc. etc.
The world is just relatively small, but nice looking, instances (kind of like Persona) and all story progression etc. is instance based going one battle arena to the next.
Story is told through 1. typical animated portait conversations, 2. comic book style frames, 3. cutscenes, 4. a minigame 2D "map" as stand-in for "exploration" with light rougelike mechanics.
Number 4 is sadly not that appreciated by the community as it feels more like it takes you out of the game than letting you play with the characters and appreciate the world. I can't say I like that part either, but it doesn't really bother me either.

Also yes, combat lives up to the hype imo; combat is arguably one of the most satisfying thing i've ever played. It's Hi3 combat but tuned up to modern times and learning from their work with GI and Honkai franchise. Satisfying sound design, Satisfying animations, and ofcs, classic hoyo Gacha system coupled with hi3's Elf Gacha system too.
I'd also like to say; the jiggle physics budget was funded by us idiots spending on all their games so... alot of budget.
Combat is sooo satisfying. The game is very story centric and there's a lot of text, at least half of which is voice acted. I do think there's a good amount of combat opportunities and the animation is just as fabulous in game. From the combat animation to cutscenes.

"Lycaon" was a Greek King who was punished by Zeus by being turned into a wolf. His name is the root of the term "Lycanthrope" or Werewolf. So his name name is basically "Von Wolf". All of the Victoria Housekeeping characters are based on Horror movie monsters, Von Lycaon is the Werewolf, Rina is a Ghost, Corin is Frankenstien's Monster, and Ellen is a Shark, a la Jaws.
The combat is quite satisfying and has a very low skill floor, but if you want to be efficient and to not struggle it also has a high-ish skill ceiling allowing for a lot of tricks and impressive actions, it's nowhere near DMC's ceiling, there isn't even a jump button, but there is still a lot to learn if needed.

ZZZ has some of the best combat out of all their games, It is a hack-n-slash, WITH PARRY MECHANICS AND COMBOS. When a character performs a skill or attacks enough, you can start combos that allow you to deal insane damage

ZZZ is real time combat like Genshin, but they are smaller more fast paced fights. You might say they are kind of like the Domains in Genshin. The fighting isnt about elemental reactions, but more about quick reaction counters and dodges with combos. The game isnt really open world, but there is a town and some areas to explore. What really sets ZZZ apart is the awesome fun vibes. Its like an late 80s-early 90s aesthetic with funky lofi hip hop, city pop, and rap, bright city colors, and quirky fun characters
While you could probably guess Ellen, Rina, & Lycaon are of the same faction, the other two characters you reacted to are from their own factions. Grace is from Belobog Industries (Confirmed to be completely unrelated to Belobog from HSR) while Soldier 11 is apart of Obol squad, she's currently the only known member of her faction. There have been speculations of another playable character being related to her but since you haven't reacted to her teaser yet I'm gonna leave that one there.

Soldier 11 is fairly mysterious, but another trailer reveals she has ties to Anby and they’re probably sisters given all their similarities

I remember it took me SOOOOO long to get Lycoan. I had to just pick him outright after my 300 failed draw attempts, so I could get a guaranteed character of my choosing. Hell, I got Ellen and Corrin without issue and more times than I care to count. But Lycoan...he was one of the main reasons I even downloaded the game. Main reason was Ellen. (Us sharks have to stick together, ya know?)

And if you ever do get bogged down by dialogue like in Genshin, don't worry. Cuz you think the physics had a lot of budget? Just wait till you see how much budget the CUTSCENES got!!

Ellen is currently the backbone of my team and the combat is just as gratifying as you think it'd be. I'd highly recommend playing it, it is available on every(?) platform. even if not for content just for yourself. I'm inter-knot level 40 (comments roast me now) and I am still very happy with the gameplay. Fair warning though, TV traversal is not for everyon.

No, the combat is not similar to _Genshin_ . It's far faster and smoother than the slow combat you find in that game. It's _Honkai Impact 3rd_ combat made smoother. It's an ARPG roguelike brawler. It's incredibly satisfying.

If you told me Rina was one of Thelema's maids, I'd have believed you. Oh yeah, Mihoyo seems to love adding horror aspects into odd places. They also did it in Black Swan's trailer for _HSR_ , and for Thelema of course. Both _Genshin_ and _HI3_ have had Halloween events too.
I like how Ellen's friends get her. There doesn't seem to be animal-people prejudice in this world. I don't know if you noticed, but in the teasers maybe it shows better that one of her friends has cow ears and a bell. It's a cute friend group.
_ZZZ_ has been out since July 4th, although I haven't had much chance to play. Ellen's banner has less than a day left.
For me, a more fitting description would be Nier Automata with Sekiro combat gameplay + Blue Archive Hub Exploration (the CTV part) gameplay (take decisions where to go, effects and a goal). Then you have a Hub World to explore NPC or small missions based on interesting texts and minigsmes of course.
the combat is satisfying, though fair warning, the tutorial is very long, like very VERY long, so much so that 'it gets good 10 hours in' is said half jokingly.

Zenless is not an open world game, is more like an RPG like Persona. The combat is classic Hack n Slash, with parry and everything. The smallness of that world compensate with its level of small details, the game with the most details that Hoyoverse has made.
This game is NOT like Genshin. It's NOT Open World. There are contained Overworld areas specifically for exploring and "pre-combat-strategizing", with the main gameplay loop putting you in Grid-Based Puzzle Sections that then irregularly put you into Battles happening in contained Arenas, some of them larger and with a bit of exploring, some shorter and just for quick fights. It might sound disappointing at first, but they do a damn good job to shake it up within those confines and make it feel darn satisfying. Many people don't like those grid-based Puzzle segments (also commonly referred to as "TV-Mode", cuz you zap through RC-Camera-Grids), but I actually find them very enjoyable, and much more time respecting than the rather few segments where you DO run around and explore on foot.

Combat is most reminiscent of Honkai Impact the 3rd. It's arguably less deep than Devil May Cry for any single character, and I find the differing camera, defensive options, and rapid ways to change combat range (the character whose demo I expect will debut next actually shifts between close and medium range multiple times within her basic attack chain) create more of a visceral feel which goes along with the intentional feel that pressure never entirely goes away and attrition shall never be on your side (the latter isn't true but much closer than in Genshin Impact).
I've only played a bit of Ellen and Rina so far, and have used Grace in the storyline but don't have her. My first impressions (which may change as I get further). Ellen is surprisingly like Rosaria in that unless you've leaned heavily into critical hits and have a chance of quickly killing enemies you're best off treating her like the ambush predator she is and finding ways to get an initial hit in from an unprotected direction. Against many enemies this works fine (it helps she's one of the characters who can somewhat safely rush enemies firing guns) but against things with a reach and strength advantage she may need help from her team to block chains of hits powerful enough to otherwise send her flying and create openings. Rina is intended as a support character but can survive once you're used to her slower, floaty movement: as a puppet fighter her offense isn't very dependent on her relative position and as a puppet fighter on a team it doesn't disappear the instant she tags out. Grace is basically Billy if he was Anby: she's less about doing straight damage and more about applying widespread physical damage and electricity without having to risk going toe-to-toe to do it, making the battlefield safer for her teammates to finish the work.
(You actually see bits of Cunning Hares tactics used in their demos. Nicole's "charged skill" screws with formations and can alter the course of small projectiles while she's always doing a little bit of damage at all ranges with her weapon (and is surprisingly decent at hard blocks - one of the long-term player skill goals in this game is learning whether it's best to dodge, block, or try to entirely avoid a given attack), Anby is a frontliner stunning her targets who can also charge and pin down gun-wielders, and Billy has the moves to get into and out of medium range but is best suited to picking a firing position and focusing to finish off targets. Mana is very powerful but agility and evasion are her best traits; she's a bit like a twitchier Ellen.)
Oh, since you apparently didn't get the mirror thing (likely due to having never been a teenage girl), there's a classic slumber party experiment for seeing ghosts which has been kicking around for at least seventy years now: wait until you're already tired and trying to stay awake, look into a mirror with dim and unsteady lighting, and just keep staring at your reflection for a quarter-hour to half and hour, maybe with chanting or whatever. While most people learn very early on visual afterimages are a thing, it's less obvious that temporary chemical depletion can cause perceptual afterimages at higher levels of the brain's visual processing and if you stare long enough at your own reflection eventually the part of your brain telling you "this is the image of a human being, who is also you" will get tired and start to slip: you will develop the distinct feeling that the mirror is no longer showing you your own reflection.
Victoria Housekeeping is built out of classic movie horror tropes (speculation is that if Victoria exists she's likely a vampire), so Rina was referencing a classic ghost trope.
