      What she did was showed him the way out of his "prison" - the one that was trying to give him structure, purpose and dignity. Now he is "FREE" to be himself in front of cameras all over the world. Wonder what he likes best: anger at the Palace and Monarchy OR utter terror at the hands of his wife?

      The Firm covered up for Harry, just as they did for Diana! When they both left the Royal fold their true personalities came out and they aren’t pretty! Both were selfish and jealous of others! They liked being seen as the victim! They definitely are the victim of their own actions.

      I completely agree with you there! I've been saying this since the shocking moment she talked back to Queen Elizabeth on the internet from Canada. When I saw him supporting his wife's ongoing efforts to torture his grandmother, and grandfather by extension, I knew he was equally jas evil as her. No one under any circumstances could ever have persuaded me to do that, not even under threat of my life.

      As Shauna pointed out Harry did qualify as an Apache helicopter commander in 2013 after three years of training. However, during his five-month tour in Afghanistan, he served as a co-pilot gunner in the 2-man helicopter.

    • @monty4653
      @monty4653 11 месяцев назад +35

      You are correct about Harry. Yes, the papers and journos still claim that he was a trained helicopter pilot which is nothing but propaganda. Does anyone really think that this man with an addiction to drugs and alcohol since he was a teenager would be allowed to fly a £160 million helicopter in a war zone? He was educationally subnormal in intelligence as confirmed by his mother. Her words were that he was as thick as her. The fact that he flew into rages would eliminate him as a helicopter pilot.

    • @patshartigan5100
      @patshartigan5100 11 месяцев назад +18

      I think if Harry had qualified as a helicopter pilot he could have taken that into his post military career and put it good use, like William. It would have been the obvious next move for Harry, working in air sea rescue or as a air ambulance pilot, but he did nothing, just left the army and kicked his heals until someone created Invictus for him.

    Fascinating book extracts. Thank you. It's why Cressida left him, nothing to do with not wanting to live the life of a Royal, that was a convenient excuse. In many ways, Harry and Meghan have ruined eachother's lives. Though I have sympathy for neither. We've seen photos of Harry in 2012 at the London Olympics when he was 28 sitting beside Catherine with his arms folded, red faced, sulking like a 5 y.o. And Catherine is trying to console him over something....probably jealous of Zara winning a silver medal. No, Palace Staff, the RF and ELF covered up the real Harry. We saw the good, jokey side of him, until Meghan cam along, then he had the confidence to believe they could leave and rule the world and the RF would become irrelevant. He obviously wanted to control the narrative even then, as Jo Brand was right, he was taking Cocaine! No wonder William grew apart from him with a wife and child and responsibilities. They weren't teenagers anymore but grown men, though Harry never grew up.

    Makes you wonder what really happened during the Dog Bowl Incident. Knowing that Harry was involved in the bullying of staff as well as Mehgan, you can understand William's anger. In turn, I imagine that Harry became enraged over William's support of the staff. Harry would have seen it as a betrayal; he would have expected William to support him and Meghan. How did Harry initially respond to William; what did he say and was he the first to get physical? We can only speculate.

    I really enjoyed Valentine Low's book - and I think it really helps us understand the operations of the royal households. This past few years has really shown how much great work was done by the palace staff to manage Harry's public image over the years, and how much work the family did to temper and balance Harry's temperament. He's clearly one of those folks (and sadly I've known a few), who jump on the most negative interpretation of every situation, take offense where none is intended and generally just go through life convinced they are being singled out for bad treatment and aren't getting the respect and adulation they deserve. Exhausting personality. Love the deep dive into this stuff.

When no one took MM's side, I think he was the same way. He gives himself away over & over in his book. He was very angry that Angela Kelly didn't just break all the rules for his wife to hand over the tiara & seemed full of rage because she had the nerve to be angry at them!!
    I know someone like that! Always the victim of injustice & if I'm not 100% on their side, I'm accused of not supporting them. Since I often can't condone their bad behavior, I'm ostracized. It's exhausting. I feel bad for the staff.

    As most critical thinkers suspected, the traitor has always been an absolute monster - and the palace did a brilliant job at selling us the 'cheeky chappy prince.' I've been a strong monarchist for decades, and I feel completely betrayed by the BRF. They knew full well what they were unleashing on the rest of us, then pumped and primed with his jezebel - which they also knew about. The king has his own self-serving agenda while he ignores the frustrated cries of the people. Absolutely reprehensible.

Harry wasn’t able to accept his mothers passing, a thing that exists in a fixed point of time, and can’t be changed. It’s terrible that he lost his mother, but he hasn’t matured a single day since. I know this is an unpopular opinion, but the one I really wonder about is the late Queen. I know she was quite accomplished, so I don't mean to discredit her, but Harry being put in as a working royal was done on HER watch. Now Charles has to deal with it, and William after him. The way your titles are structured, once given, they can't be easily taken away.
      I have heard someone claim that the late Queen envisioned Harry as providing support for William. Seriously? Surely Harry's emotional and mental problems were well-known to the Queen and the Palace. Why didn't they find a nice ranch somewhere that Harry could have "managed" (complete with horses and ATVs)? He could have had a small charity providing gentle horses for disabled children to ride, and still been out of the public eye. No working royal role. No giving him a platform that only made him a target for someone looking to use that royal "shine."
      The Queen was highly thought of after years of service. SHE had the clout to put her foot down way back when, and she didn't. If Harry had been clearly sidelined, Meghan might not have given him a second glance. IMO.

    Markle, in my opinion, was the willing enabler and channeller of the anger, frustrations and jealousy he had. Reports we had read over the years and, the fights, drunkenness and drug taking, showed the depth to which these ran and, it is now obvious that both his family and the palace PR worked overtime to limit and conceal his true personality. In between the cheery smiles and handshakes, there was a slight menace about Harry. From the cruelty to polo horses, that has been documented, to the edge on some of the comments about William that, just left that doubt in the mind as to his true feelings regarding his brother. Followed by some of the more recent personal comments about individuals in his circle, highlights that loyalty and regard are of no consequence to him. He certainly seemed a person that could ‘fester’ on his perceived ‘problems’. Diana seemed to have that tendency to wallow and, also liked to stir the proverbial, as she allegedly did with her supposed friend Fergie. Like her son, there was no great depth of intelligence, but the capacity for malice and malevolence ran deep, in my opinion. For all that is now being said, I believe Harry to be as vile and repulsive as his wife, but the treachery, lies, ingratitude, self entitlement and betrayal are unforgivable and, he has these in abundance, exploited by her. I also feel, despite his protestations to the contrary, that his military commitment wasn’t what it is made out to be. It seems, at Sandhurst, he was perfectly prepared to accept the place, despite not having the necessary wherewithal for entry; he also, apparently had rules relaxed, when random drug testing was undertaken; and, was unavailable; all hitherto reported. Not the actions of a dedicated military careerist to flout such all important rules. Much is made of his tours of duty, but obviously, this was positive PR that was much needed, but we now know that his involvement was not what we were led to believe and, he was prepared to put the lives of those keeping him secure in jeopardy, to burnish his halo and keep the committed, patriotic Harry image uppermost. Along with the helicopter pilot story, which is still shrouded. To then cancel a long standing engagement to honour fallen Marines, when his, allegedly revered grandfather had retired and personally entrusted him with the rank of Hon. Capt. Gen., to accompany her to a Disney premiere, was the tin hat on it for me and, could in no way be excused or condoned. He is a disagreeable, duplicitous person, who has found someone equally so, but she is also able to construct the most elaborate lies and scenarios to perpetuate his deep seated, distorted and dangerous beliefs of victimhood, that continue to benefit
    them both. Another brilliant video.

      Harry was always been Charles darling boy, Diana might wanted to raise her sons equally, and to see royal seniors treating William and Harry fairly (as they should), but Charles played the biggest part to raising of Harry, not Diana!

Something that, it seems, their mother, as she matured, sought to instill in each of her sons through her own example in her work.

    This isn't the first time I've heard that Harry had issues long before Meghan entered the picture. I do remember reading something about Diana seeking professional help for Harry. It didn't say what he'd done but apparently whatever he did do was egregious enough for his mother try to get him help.
    We've all seen the video of Diana greeting her son's coming off the royal yacht. She hugged William first and the moment she reached for Harry he kicked William so hard I felt it.
    All that to say, did Charles bother to do anything to get his son the help that he needed after Diana died?
    Something might have been able to help him.
    It's too late now! If you haven't been sorted out by 40 this is who you'll be.

    Hello, my loves, I can't stay because I have to walk my dog, who has no sense of humor about being put off. I will watch in its entirety when I get back. BUT...I have felt for some time that both Meghan and Harry are seriously mentally ill. And we are being dragged down with them, because they won't go away! Love you, Shauna.

      Hearing that both of them have no boundaries, or fliters doesn't surprise me in the least. I think both are personality disordered. It's troubling that two people, with obvious problems, should be advising others about their mental health.

    I knew that Harry was a troubled boy-man in spite of his hail fellow well met persona. That was why I was hopeful when he was engaged to Meghan that she would put him on the right path. Little did I know at the time what an awful person she was. I wish the people under the NDAs could be released. Thank you for another deep dive, Shauna. Sometime I think it would be fun to hear you talk about the books you display. I see you love music, and I enjoy reading books about and by musicians. Just a thought.

    It's shocking behaviour, but sadly not surprising, considering what we know since. Some of us of a certain age, knew he had issues, falling out of clubs, fighting with photographer's, the questionable party outfit, racists remarks to his only south asian army colleague, etc. He just met his perfect match in Meghan. No wander Chelsey Davey, and Cressida Bonas ran for the hills.

    This information makes me very sad for their children. Imagine growing up in a family atmosphere of paranoia, frustration, and clashing professional goals… it can’t be easy for them. Add to that their isolation and the lost opportunities to have the benefit of the protections and rich experiences that Harry grew up with and the loving support that Meghan had from her father. This isn’t just about the adults involved in this situation anymore.

    In case of misconduct of one of the parts, as harassment is, with proof - the messages, all NDAs should be considered null by law. He's a bully, and as all bullies, he has high levels of entitlement and insecurity at the same time. If coming from him is only a joke, if coming from others is outrageous and a personal attack. Shame on RF for covering him up for so many years, now they get the cost of it.

    I think all the staffers were given a generous severance package and a big payoff to stay quiet. I hope one of them actually writes a book under a pseudonym and spills the beans. If King Charles pursues legal action against the staffer then he will be shown to support his drug addled, emotionally arrested, abusive son instead of women and men who suffered essentially domestic violence.

    Shauna I wish I had a reference for you, it could be from Valentine Low himself, but I'm not sure- an author shared in an interview that Harry used to send emails, texts & voice mails (as well as speak this way directly) to his father's staff full of expletives and derision. These would have been the people that his mother called "the men in Grey suits." And it seems to me that a part of this behavior came from the way he believes his mother felt about those people, not just the press.
    Great read today!💕

      Narcissists have no sense of humor. They do like to laugh at others' misfortune, discomfort, embarrassment--especially if they're the ones who caused it. And then they mask their cruelty with "Oh come on, it's only a joke! Can't you take a joke?!"
