Years later…I realize Tychus gave Jim the opportunity. Raising the visor. Turning on the laser. Standing still after the shot was blocked…I wish they emphasized this more.
yeah.. i think he change his mind after the bar fight with jim, he rather let his best friend kill him than mengsk shutting down his organ, sad that jim left his body to rot in charr
I’m thinking after rewatching this for the first time in a decade, and while I agree, I do think it would be a little stronger in a way if Jim hadn’t had to ask “What have you done?” beforehand, and instead “I made a deal with the devil, Jimmy” was Tychus’ own shameful owning up without prompting.

No need. He never betrayed him. It was always up to jim.
I believe he also put Mengsk's transmission on loudspeaker the moment he raised the visor

I think there's a part of Tychus that has a little bit of honor and humility. He's a smartass, but he's not a totally cold-hearted monster.
Basically that 1 visor saved the universe lol
seeing as the xelnaga intentionally needed her to live they probably wouldve just helped zeratul do some funky ressurection ish
