That’s the spirit! The philosophy of fire was necessary to eventually make the deck actually work, but you can bet your bottom dollar the deck started because I wanted it to regardless of how good it would end up. It working was merely an accident
I remember primarily playing Burn during historical Goat simply because it was dirt cheap to build. I was called "that Burn guy" at my locals like Randy during that one South Park episode.
HOT TAKE: There are so many well stablished MTG concepts that are underused in GOAT and YGO in general. If you are a hardcore MTG Spike you basically have an advantage over ppl that play exclusively YGO
This is an interesting decklist you got there, lol, but I do have a couple of suggestions for it, if you're interested. If you want to abuse Mecha-Dog and Archer, and possibly Sangan if needed, a bit more, try to find room for Premature Burial and Call of the Haunted. You may think its slow and doesn't do much for LP damage, but if Mecha-Dog is targeted by Premature/Call, and it dies to a Heavy Storm/MST/Dust, etc, it counts as being destroyed by a card effect, and that means 1000 LP just to your opponent. It also resurrects Archer so you can tribute her off with the Goats, then bring her back to fire off even more Goats (not the same turn, but it helps with follow up turns). Also, side deck Giant Trunade. You can abuse Premature Burial with Trunade 3 times with an equipped Dog, since Premature makes Mecha-Dog die after Premature is removed, plus with Call of the Haunted, Dog stays but you can ram him into a monster, take 1000 LP from them, then set Call to get that Dog back on your opponent's turn.
Prema and call are both decent ideas. My monster count was low though (4 of the monsters aren’t even worth summoning!) and without a monster they deal 0 damage of their own. Prema also costs life in a deck where you get hit and hurt yourself a lot, and if either just gets destroyed before the summon even occurs then again it dealt 0 damage. There are absolutely other Marron builds where one or both cards is the pick. Trunade here is very much not as good as actually removing their backrow. We need to get in attacks to win once we side and more than once. I’ll take hard removal over potential prema tricks here for sure.
@@THEpuy Those are some good points. My bad, I figured it was an extra fast way to burn your opponent, but yeah, they can be bricks if you don't have Dog/Archer at helm.
The whole point of what I was saying is that anything categorically dealing less than 1000 just isn’t worth it. I can’t tell you how many times my opponent got to 200 when I was playing poison
I’m disappointed you didn’t have 3 copies of Sparks
I don’t need math to tell me to play Tremendous Fire, im in

Huge fan of this list, definitely stealing it for locals! Hilarious profile as well, great work Puy!
Thank you!!
Ring of Destruction at Home got me LOL Nice deck!
Really cool decklist! Love seeing the thought behind all the cards too
Thank you! In this case the thought is what made the cards work
The funniest thing is I'm a guy who main deck's Barrel Behind The Door and sides 2 more, and I would have a FIELD DAY
You would have to play them round one before you lose the tournament.

They really did make it like all commons and whatever. Burn always ends up the budget deck.

@@NightmareLink110 if premature goes to hand the equipprd monster is not destroyed
Such a cool idea for a deck, glad it performed well!
Thank you!
awesome deck, what do you think about stealth bird? too slow?
FAR too slow, and FAR too intractable. Think about how many things will keep you from flipping it even once
Really cool concept
Hey I lost to her lmao
Posion of the old man goes brr. Don’t diss him

Thank god you didn’t show this to me when I asked at the tourny. I would have ran to Auntie Anne’s and threw it in the oil vat!!! Lol
Cool deck! I'm thinking about something similar where the opponent has to pay for everything they do xD
