Dreamcatcher (드림캐쳐) 'PIRI' (피리) MV was the last chapter I needed to conclude my journey into the Nightmare Dreamcatcher era.
A year has now passed since I chose to listen to one of their songs by chance and since that day I have become more and more passionate about their music, discovering interesting and not at all obvious artists.
JiU, SuA, Siyeon, Handong, Yoohyeon, Dami, and Gahyeon also with Dreamcatcher (드림캐쳐) 'PIRI' (피리) MV did a great job. The song is of high quality and for the first time we witness a duo of rappers as we also find Gahyeon accompanying Dam in the rap line who managed to give that something extra to the song, making it truly unique.
All the girls appear more mature, more aware of their style and their path in the world of music. Everything in Dreamcatcher (드림캐쳐) 'PIRI' (피리) MV is taken care of down to the smallest detail and I appreciated that they did something that not all artists in the kpop world do: subtitle the lyrics in my language.

Note, no instrument that actually sounds like a Piri is in the song. A Piri is a reed instrument that would sound closer to an oboe than what most think of a flute.

Thanks for the precision. I meant that you hear the instrumental part of a flute, not the Piri specifically. Maybe taken by the song I didn't explain myself very well

@@queenshipkpop I think the main reference of a Piri here was a side use of I guess larger ones in the past to sound an alarm warning, sort of like how the song opens with the blaring sound.

"Piri" is the last part of the Nightmare Arc (their Japanese release "Breaking out" can be seen as an alternative ending). In "What", the girls have been searching for Yoohyeon, and here they find each other again, but in the end they are all stuck in the white dimension. A Piri is a Korean flute that was used historically to signal danger, and that is what Yoohyeon does here when the members arrive. She is the one capturing them one by one, to rescue them and bring them to safety. They are together in the end, but still stuck. Dreamcatcher don't do happy endings. 😉

@@queenshipkpop Breaking Out is more than some alternative ending, it's officially the last in the Nightmare series. No Question. People just insist on keeping their Japanese tracks separate, but SuA said it's the last one and that's good enough for me.
