- More than 300 people have died in flash floods in Afghanistan with many more left destitute after thousands of homes were destroyed.
The flooding was triggered by heavy rain which lashed several provinces of the country on Friday. Aid and rescue teams have struggled to reach some of the hardest-hit areas.
A total of 315 people were killed and more than 1,600 people were injured in the flooding in Baghlan province, the Taliban government’s refugees ministry said on Sunday.
