Thank you for sharing! I'll probably have to try some seasonings, lol, but I have so many I can't let food go to waste😉maybe I'll have to do a video on getting them to taste good, 😆
How about adding salt, pepper, butter and vinegar, …...that's how I do okra when I stew it......doesn't get rid of the slime but does taste good! I like okra either way - breaded or stewed! Mom and I liked the video - what are you planning to do with the dried cholla buds - what do you add it to??? Use it in soups and stews???
Britt recommended that I try them in something else to see if I like them more, haha! We aren't sure what we'll do with the dried cholla buds yet, but luckily the dried version should keep for quite a while. A lot of people add them to salads and cooked greens, so I'm hoping that we can find something that will compliment it well! Glad you're liking the videos!
Thanks for the tips on harvesting, beautiful kitties as well!
I'm a native in arizona you need to boil till soft then fry with onion and tomato
Your a brave soul
Just a thought .. I never tried this cactus before. But my family owns ranches.. and we burn off the thorns before feeding to the cattle...
