BTCC 2001 - Rounds 19 & 20 - Oulton Park

Next up we have the BTCC's second trip to Oulton Park from the 2001 season. Going into this meeting the big story was after the on track shenanigans between Steve Soper and Phil Bennett last time out at Croft the Vauxhall rookie copped the strongest penalty the stewards could dish out, a 1 race ban. So to fill the void Vauxhall recruited Andy Priaulx MBE for a one off appearance. How would the future 3 time WTCC get on in Bennett's place also Top Gear Tiff Needell also had a one off appearance in the production class partnering James Kaye at Barwell replacing Simon Graves watch for a Top Gear segment at the end of this clip. Not sure why Muller felt the need to make a sarky comment regarding Priaulx after his race 2 retirement - Muller was trying to fit an Astra Coupé through a gap that was about half the width of an Astra Coupé. Outrageously talented driver, probably the quickest in terms of outright pace of that era, but a massively prodigious whingebag.
